(YMMV) Overshadowed By Popularity
This is when not even It's Popular, Now It Sucks! is heard, yet it doesn't fit into the ranks of a Sacred Cow. This describes works when there are major issues, both fandom & work based in it and when the franchise as a whole is not a Sacred Cow, yet the franchise itself is so large, that it's too well-known, engrained in culture & large to be considered It's Popular, Now It Sucks! Several aspects of the franchise may be hated, but you'll be hard pressed to find a hater who hates everything about the franchise and even so, these may be relegated to obscurity or be faced with No True Scotsman & a one-sided Internet Backdraft (Internet Counterattack if the work is large enough). However, unlike Sacred Cow, franchises or works fitting into this are prone to have large amounts of Broken Base, Contested Sequel or Base-Breaking Character. A subversion of It's Popular, Now It Sucks!. Contrast Sacred Cow. Remember: Sacred Cow examples DO NOT FIT THERE.

- Star Wars: Its prequels (then the sequels) had garnered a lot of flak from non-fans] and [[BrokenBase some fans alike, to the point where the franchise as a whole has been tainted, yet it has defied being relegated to It's Popular, Now It Sucks!, simply because it's too big to be hated entirely.
- Marvel Cinematic Universe: Despite being It's Popular, Now It Sucks!, the Hatedom hasn't really caught on, unlike with some other works released later. Combined with it's rival, The DC Extended Universe being divisive and Snark Bait, people who hate the entire MCU remain in obscurity.
