Needs a Better Title, Needs a Better Description Needs More Examples, and since I'm a little busy lately Up for Grabs. I have seen it a few times, that somebody wears a hat that might be too large for the head, so he or she has some eyeholes cut in it. Examples I can think of:

Samurai are often depicted as wearing straw hats that come down past their eyes, with a much more open weave in a patch in front of their eyes. Maybe Truth In Television? Dunno. For an example, Samurai Champloo.

    • In the original Astro Boy manga, whenever Dr Tenma wanted to help Astro without revealing his identity, he wore a hat so large it covered his entire head, with eye holes cut in it.

Beetle Bailey's hats/caps/helmets/etc. don't have eyeholes but he can still see fine.

So a character wears a funky hat. Then what? Description needs to be expanded more to stop this from being People Sit On Chairs.

If there are eyeholes it's not "seethrough." It's never implied that Beetle Bailey can see through his hat, it's just that the hat is so low that we can't see his eyes, but he can still peer under it.

If you mean "wears a hat as a mask", then say so.

Trail of the PinkPanther had a young Clouseau playing Cowboy. He got his had pulled down and couldn't remove it,so he ended up cutting eye holes and a mouth hole in it.

In one episode of The Simpsons Homer got a metal can stuck on his head, so he had Bart drill some eyeholes so he could see. Does That Count?
