Here's a trope that I just noticed. It seems to be extremely common in Disney animated features but I've seen it other places as well.

There are two elements to this trope, which are related:

- The more armor and equipment a soldier is equipped with, the less powerful he is in combat. (Obvious example: Stormtroopers.)

- A single character, often one that you would not expect to have combat training or special powers, can easily out-fight (or at least run away from) a large number of trained professional soldiers.

(I came up with this idea while watching "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" during the scene near the beginning where Esmeralda is running away from the soldiers. Similar scenes occur in Aladdin as well.)
