Older than my Stepmother

When the stempother is younger than the stepchild.

Trope
What happens when the December part of a May-December Romance has children... who are around June. They might end with a stepmother who is younger or at least the same age as them.

You can expect lots of resentment from a girl to a stepmother younger and/or better looking than them. If it's a boy, and the stepmother is to be portrayed negatively, you can expect at least attempted seduction.

Up for Grabs

Some examples: The main reason behind the murder in Legally Blonde, both the movie and the musical. It happens to a character in If Tomorrow Comes, by Sidney Sheldon.

In Bill And Teds Excellent Adventure, Missy (Bill's father's second wife) is three years older than Bill and went to high school with the boys.

    • In Youve Got Mail, though we never see Joe's stepmother or step-grandmother, may december romances apparently run in the family. Everyone in Kathleen's bookshop assumes that Matt and Annabelle are Joe's children. In fact, Matt is his half - brother, and Annabelle is his aunt.

On the show Modern Family, a recent episode made a running joke out of the fact that Gloria is younger than Claire, though only by a few months.

I'm discarding this, even though it could be a valid trope (although we never really got enough examples), because it has had no comments or updates since November of 2011. If you're interested in seeing it through to completion, go ahead and undiscard it.
