Backpack Cannon

Do We Have This One?? Needs a Better Description

The Ammunition Backpack is cool and all, but having to lug both it and your gun may be a hassle. Why not combine them both and get yourself a Backpack Cannon!

Compare Shoulder Cannon.

Examples:

Anime and Manga

Comic Books
  • In Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers, Ironfist's lightformer cannon is his backpack... but he has to take it off to use it.
    • The tank mode turret of Ironfist's teammate Guzzle is situated on his back when in robot mode, with the barrel extending far past his head.

Film - Live Action

Tabletop Games
  • Shadowrun. The Ballista Multi-Role Missile Launcher, which is worn as a backpack.
  • Battlelords of the 23rd Century. The Cizerack (large quadrupedal catlike aliens) have been known to wear weapon systems mounted on their backs. See a picture here.
  • Likewise Battle Cattle (pic here).

    Does Blastoice count?

Also, there was the Buster Pod from Custom Robo Arena, which was just a cannon mounted on your robo's back

Luigi's Poltergust 3000 sorta counts. It can suck and expel large objects. However, while wore on the back the nozzle is held in the hands.

And to expand on the Transformers thing: The tank mode turret of Ironfist's teammate Guzzle is situated on his back when in robot mode, with the barrel extending far past his head.

War Machine in Iron Man 2? It's a rail gun on his back but it's a suit of mechanized armor instead of a backpack. I'm not sure.

Is it mounted on his back and not a Shoulder Cannon?

Well its on a rotational joint behind his neck on a back right shoulder blade so I suppose in the spirit of the trope it would better fit there, Shoulder Cannon

The Half Life Gluon Gun is backpack-mounted, and some of the small laser cannons in Star Wars can be connected to a backpack for power.
