Roy Harper is Bruce Wayne

Name Space:
Main
Page Type:
Trope
In their creation both Green Arrow and Robin were inspired by Batman, then they just basically combined Green Arrow and Robin to make Speedy.

Other example pretty much include the sidekicks of any character inspired by Batman.

Also, outside of the comic book realm is Mario Bros. Both Luigi and Wario were inspired by Marion and then combined to make Waluigi

I get what you're going for, and there's an off chance it's tropable (maybe), but you need a better title, a much better description, and more than two examples.

This is my first insertion to a trope, so what would you suggest for name/description

As far as examples, Any character inspired by Batman (Green Arrow, Sandman, Owlman, Mr. Scarlet) who has had their own sidekick (Speedy, Sandy, Talon, Pinky) can pretty much be put in this trope.

A Trope is more than a trend. Take some stabs as to why Batman expies run around with Robin expies, until then, this is just an observation.

And, the title should be descriptive. All Heroes Have Sidekicks, or Batman And Robin Expie, or something. The title needs to be able to tell you what this concept is about on its own.

This is just the trend of creating expies of Batman. Not A Trope.

It's not actually about Batman or Robin expies, it's about how a character is created by combining two different characters who were both inspired by one guy. I hope someone can understand this, I'm not always clear in my word choices. If it were a formula, it would be like A=B+C=D, with Batman/Mario being A, Robin/Luigi being B, Wario/Green Arrow being C, and Speedy/Waluigi being D.

Wow, epic fail. Your most recent post should have been your OP; general before examples, especially when you don't have many of them, otherwise it looks like a Licence To Whine. Some of your posts in the interim actually drove me away from what you were going for.

Sorry, this is my first time doing this, so I am still learning

Don't worry, my first time I accidentally launched a bunch of tropes without making pages for them and ended up getting temporarily kicked of the site.

It's all good, man. TV Tropes is a learning experience :) Next time you'll want to put the description in the original post, possibly as a formula if it's the type of thing that lends itself to that (like this).

Now that it's clear what this is about, though, I think it might be Too Rare To Trope. You might just want to discard this.

I think this has some potential as a trope.

Formula-wise, what you're thinking about is called a commutative diagram (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commutative_diagram#Examples). Some possible titles along that line of thought could be
    • Commutative Diagram Origin
    • Commutative Diagram Genesis
    • Commutative Diagram Character
    • Commutative Square Origin/Genesis/Character

^ Commutative Character would be a way better title, by the way.

    I Like Commutative Square Character

What else do I need to get this trope to launch?

An actual trope, a better description, and examples. Im not sure what this supposed to be, but it doesn't look like a trope.

There is now a new YKTTW continuing from this one. Can this be discarded?

Err... I'm British, consider me ignorant, but to me Roy Harper is a bearded hippie folky singer from the 1970's who did some not-bad mellow tunes accompanied by guitar - When An Old Cricketer Leaves The Crease, for e.g.. I assume you must be talking about some other Roy Harper, as I can't see a peace-and-love hippie balladist knocking around with Bruce Wayne? ''May Need Disambiguation, is what I'm hinting at here.
