A trope when one person risks life or limb to retrieve an item considered valuable by a person they care about. When said person comes back from their mission, battered and beaten and item in hand, the second person will disregard it (generally by tossing it away), and goes in to either hug or kiss (depending on the nature of the relationship) the first person, declaring that they're much more important than any object.

Can be compared to Friend or Idol Decision, for while the person DOES get both, they still deem the friend as more important.
