Do We Have This? Needs More Examples.

Video Game Trope

This is the tendency for advertisements and promotional art for video games that have a karma meter to depict a certain alignment.

  • In a neutral example, the cover art for inFamous shows Cole using white electricity, whereas in the game it is either red or blue, depending on your alignment.
  • The original Fable's cover art shows the young character seeing his reflection as a decidedly evil character.
  • Fable 2's cover has the good hero seeing the bad one in a reflection.
    • Fable 3 does something similar with the evil and good versions of the crown reflected.
  • Black and White2 has hands from both alignments.

I don't know many games with karma bars, gonna need some help.

    • The cover of Fable 2 has the Good Hero looking into a reflection showing the Evil Hero and Fable 3 has the Hero reaching for a crown given a similar good/evil reflection treatment.

    • Black & White 2 has both the shining sparkle-trailing hand of a Good god and the fiery claw-nailed hand of an Evil god on display.

    Just changed it to Law of karmic representation. Should I change it back or keep it this way? It seems like there will be more examples.
