* AssPull: Kukuri's after story in the fandisс is one for some. [[spoiler: While they are certainly biological brothers and sisters, because Kukuri is a version of his sister from the alternative world, they are not related by blood, but the game never explains how it works, and why Kukuri and Kakeru themselves are completely similar to their versions in the alternative world. ]]
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The soundtrack is considered one of the highest points both of the anime and the games. The former's opening song, "Arrival of Tears" by Music/{{Ayane}}, is particularly epic, to the point that dissers of the series claim it is better than the entire anime.
* BizarroEpisode: The BonusEpisode episode for the anime, which takes the main cast into the ''Pink'' Night, and perverts their powers in various ways. Kakeru now has XRayVision that can see through clothing regardless of gender; when Yukiko removes her glasses, she acts like she's on an aphrodisiac, including kissing Yuka; Takahisa now has [[MakingASplash water powers]] and can shoot a tiny stream of water from his finger; Misuzu summons ''vibrators''; the Larva are now {{Ridiculously Cute Critter}}s; and Kururi can speak, but nobody wants her to, as everything she says is [[SoundEffectBleep bleeped]] and everything she draws is [[{{Pixellation}} pixellated]]; the Black Knights are now the Pink Knights, an all-pink {{sentai}} team (with [[InTheNameOfTheMoon roll call]]) who die because of ''their own dramatic explosion'', and Liselotte is now Avaritia's dominatrix. Then it becomes a HotSpringsEpisode, revealing that Yuka's AntiMagic has turned into TheNudifier, and it also [[GenderBender turns Kakeru and Takahisa into girls]].
* FanPreferredCouple:
** The most popular choice for Kakeru's LoveInterest is a toss-up between [[DefrostingIceQueen Misuzu]] and [[ReiAyanamiExpy Shiori]].
** Despite Yukiko being a potential love interest for Kakeru, most fans prefer seeing her end up with Takahisa.
* HilariousInHindsight: Takahisa and Misuzu have somewhat of a vitriolic relationship due to their personalities contrasting each other. Then you find out that Showtaro and Yu (voices of Takahisa and Misuzu) dated and got married. They ended up divorcing on mutual agreement, saying they felt that they weren't compatible with each other.
* HoYay: Between Georgius and Samson in Before Story arc in ''Resona forma'' even if [[spoiler: Samson actually loved Misao ]].
* LesYay:
** Yukiko enjoys touching breasts of the others girls.
** The OVA has Yukiko nibbling on Yuka's ear and giving her a deep kiss.
** Some of the official art portrays the girls in suggestive positions.
** Between Mio and Shione in the Crossover story. Mio wants to protect Shione more than anything and would like her happiness.
* {{Moe}}: All the girls, but Kukuri in particular for being a CuteMute.
* MoralEventHorizon:
** The anime version of Yuka crosses it when she tries to kill Misuzu with a razor blade in her tea, which doesn't happen in the original game.
** In Before story it implied Invidia crossed the line as [[spoiler:she killed a man who had a different belief of her and even if she was sent in mission by Index, it didn't prevent her to take delight to kill him.]] Without forgetting she also [[spoiler:tried to kill Misao for nearly the same reason.]]
* {{Narm}}:
** Some of the fashion sense in the series, like Kakeru's leopard-spotted eyepatch or the Kouryoukan Academy's bizarrely {{Meido}}-like crimson seifuku, can be unintentionally ridiculous.
** The increasingly paranoid Yuka's attempts to seduce Kakeru, most particularly when she strolls around outside in her underwear. How little he reacts to it only adds hilarity.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: Yuka Minase to a certain degree for her anime portrayal (depending on who you ask). The middle episodes brought to light her BitchInSheepsClothing persona, but episode 12 attempted to calm the past viewer hate with a TearJerker flashback that showed the childhood memories between Kakeru and Yuka.
* ShockingMoments: For a relatively short and not too original story, the plot is surprisingly ambitious and carries some quite shocking twists, especially at the last episodes.
* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: Some criticize the franchise for being too similar to ''VideoGame/{{Persona3}}'' in plot, aesthetic and even main characters (though, in a subversion, others are drawn to it for the same reason).
* StoicWoobie: Yukiko could count as one. Though she is more of a [[StepFordSmiler Stepford Smiler]] than being stoic, she won't show any kinds emotions dealing with her [[DarkAndTroubledPast tragic past]] and [[DontYouDarePityMe denies any kind of pity towards her.]]
* TheScrappy: Yuka Minase's portrayal in the anime, compared to her game and manga counterparts, ''really'' ups her {{Yandere}}, ClingyJealousGirl, and BitchInSheepsClothing tendencies towards Kakeru, causing a lot of viewers to despise her as the anime went on. The low point was passing the MoralEventHorizon when she attempts murder by putting a razor-blade in Misuzu's tea in episode ten.
