Steve Perry (born 31 August 1947) is an American Science Fiction author and television writer, best known for penning the Matador Series. He has also written several Star Wars Legends novels including Shadows of the Empire, and Death Star and the MedStar Duology with Michael Reaves.
Perry is a martial artist trained in the Indonesian art silat, which he used as inspiration for the Fantastic Fighting Styles sumito and teräs käsi.
His daughter Stephani 'S.D.' Perry also writes science fiction.
