* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[https://youtu.be/5TAahjnkuIk Revolutionary Time]] plays when it comes time to [[StormingTheCastle Storm The Castle]] in Chapter 19.
* ClicheStorm: The storyline is fairly standard JRPG fare; you could pretty much guess half the stuff that's going to happen next as you play it. Much like [[VideoGame/AtelierIrisEternalMana its predecessor]], the game's strengths lie in its smooth combat system, the charm of the characters, and the franchise's iconic [[ItemCrafting crafting system]].
* GameBreaker:
** The Break command allows you to get more turns by frequently delaying the enemies action. Most non-bosses are defeated before they can attack; and the game even rewards you for attacking stunned enemies, by giving bonus SP (necessary to learn skills) and Experience Points.
** Fee's Endless Blades skill. You get it very early, and it pretty much fills up the bonus gauge with only one usage.
** It's very easy, through some playing around with the synthesis system, to get all your healing items to heal twice as much and heal the entire party at the same time. Then, you can use the infinite elements all around Eden to make as much as you want. This can be done by Ch. 7.
* {{Moe}}: Viese, at least somewhat. Some of this does come from the fact that she gets to caper around in Eden making things while [[CrapsackWorld Felt is fighting for his life in the grimdark world below]]. [[spoiler:She sheds a fair amount of this once she joins the fighting party, natch.]]
* SequelDifficultyDrop: ''Atelier Iris 2'' is a much easier than his predecessor, as you can carry up to 99 units of the same item (rather than 9), every party member can use Mana Items (in the first only Klein could do it), and there is no random encounters in Eden (meaning that Viese can extract elements and farm items without any trouble).
* ThatOneAttack:
** Nightmare damages and puts the entire party to sleep.
** Crimson Split. AND Crimson Moon. AND Shadow Azoth. Basically everything the FinalBoss throws at you that aren't debuffs. In an otherwise fairly easy game, Gust does at least provided a worthy and legitimate challenge at the end.
