* BileFascination: A lot of people watch the show to have a good laugh at the insanity the hosts try to present as valid scientific inquiry.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Giorgio A. Tsoukalos. One season even features him accompanying the History Channel's team. It's gotta be the hair.
* MemeticHair: The only reason Mr. Tsoukalos sticks out and gets made fun of the most is because of his hair. It's just so big, messy, and crazy. It really emphasizes his style of logic (or lack thereof).
** Oddly enough, as can be seen in this featurette included with the DVD release of the original Film/Stargate, he was once capable of maintaining a sane hairstyle (starting at about the 4:20 mark). One wonders if he's just Troll milking it at this point.
** He was asked on Website/Reddit how he came up with his hairstyle. He claimed he didn't purposely design it that way, it just sort of naturally evolved over time.
** Another Q&A session showed that Tsoukalos could poke fun at himself. When a poster asked him who did his hair, he responded with an image of the "ALIENS" meme featuring himself.
* MemeticMutation: Giorgio Tsoukalos has spawned a popular image macro series mocking his theories about aliens. Must be the hair.
-->Tsoukalos: Now, I'm not saying it was aliens, but it was aliens!
* Narm: Pretty much the whole reason to watch the show. A particularly memorable promo had this line from Tsoukalos:
--> Tsoukalos: The Large Hadron Collider bears an uncanny resemblance to the Mayan Calendar. Coincidence? I think not!
* SeasonalRot: Not that the show is generally considered high quality to begin with, but the later seasons have essentially just repeated things already done in previous episodes or have to reach further and further to connect aliens with absolutely anything. One episode was a thin excuse to discuss superheroes because they were based on archetypes that might have been inspired by aliens, and another examined the possibility for human technological progress to culminate with our evolution into cybernetic or digital beings, because perhaps that's what the aliens intended for us. The show has also increasing strayed away from the "Ancient" part of the title, with many whole episodes dealing solely with alleged 20th century alien encounters.
* SoBadItsGood: The show is best enjoyed ironically as one laughs at the various "experts" put forth ridiculous theories and act like they're profound revelations.
