The paralysis itself is absolutely heartbreaking, with Maggie being unable to move anything below her neck, having to have a leg amputated due to bedsores, and kept under constant sedation after attempting suicide before [[MercyKill she is finally put out of her misery to ''end'' the film.]]]] It's no wonder Andrew Sarris of the ''New York Observer'' said that "...no movie in my memory has depressed me more than Million Dollar Baby." |
