!!Tropes:

* BearsAreBadNews: Subverted. When Minty encounters the Ursa Minor in the Cave of wisdom, [[spoiler: it looks like he's ready for another brawl, but he just smiles and gives Minty a ride.]]
* BearyFriendly: [[spoiler: The Ursas are much more receptive and friendly, thanks in due part to Colgate's actions in the prior game.]]
* BigBad: Princess Arachne. She was originally responsible for capturing Minty to begin with, just so she could have her socks. It's cold underground.
* CanonForeigner: Minty herself. She hasn't appeared in G4 originally, and this fangame gives her the G4 redesign as well as the spotlight.
* ContrastingSequelProtagonist: Colgate was a good-natured but determined pony who wanted and embarked on a quest to change her destiny. ''Minty'' on the other hand, is a good-natured but scatterbrained pony who just wants her socks.
* CollisionDamage: Played completely straight if the enemy isn't eating candy.
* GoombaStomp: Like in the previous game, this works for multiple enemies, but not all. Also, the effects for them in the Cave of Wisdom, get explosions when done. This is the only thing Minty can do to defend herself. The owlbears can be defeated by jumping on their heads. The skeleton ponies can be disassembled by jumping on them, but will reassemble later, unless frozen by a Basilisk at that point they stay frozen permanently.
* GottaCatchEmAll: Minty's missing socks.
* HeartsAreHealth: Three pink {{Heart Symbol}}s at the bottom of the screen are Minty's LifeMeter.
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: Minty mockingly nicknames the grumpy Canterlot Royal Guardsman "Captain Bringdown". Turns out that actually is his name.
* IdleAnimation: Minty blinks if she doesn't otherwise move.
* ImmediateSequel: This game takes place right after ''Minty Fresh Adventure'', with Minty returning to the Cave of Wisdom to retrieve her socks.
* InsectQueen: Suberted with the Spider Princess, Arachne. [[spoiler: Her mother plays this straight.]]
* ShoutOut: Minty's general gameplay style is very similar to the NES title ''VideoGame/LittleNemoTheDreamMaster''.
* SpiderPeople: The Spider Princess, Arachne, human upper body and head and a spider lower body. [[spoiler: Her mother however, is a full-blown giant spider.]]
* PaperThinDisguise: Trixie wears one of these since she's out on the lamb due to the Canterlot Royal Guard getting wise of [[HonestJohnsDealership her shady operation]] from the prior game. She goes by the very not creative name of "Jean Lemoustache".
* PowerUpMount: By feeding enemies her Candy mints, Minty can take control of animals and ride them.
* PromotedToPlayable: Minty, the DamselInDistress of ''Minty Fresh Adventure'', takes the spotlight in this game.
* TakenForGranite: The Basilisk enemies from the first game are back. They freeze Minty in stone upon contact, which in certain situations can cause her to fall into a pit. She can befriend them with Mints, at which point she can use them to attack and turn enemies to stone.
* TastesLikeFriendship: Minty can only move around and jump on her own. She has to use her candy mints to subdue enemies and take control of them in order to attack.
