* [[spoiler:Shandra Jerro's brutal, torturous death at the hands of her own grandfather]].
** Especially since the party shows up ''seconds'' after [[spoiler:he deals the killing blow]], subverting the BigDamnHeroes trope to Hell and back and probably leaving the Knight-Commander wondering whether [[spoiler:they could have saved her]], if they'd just been a little bit faster.
** Grobnar's line [[spoiler:when you find her corpse]] will punch you right in the gut. He just sounds so heartbroken and desperate.
--->'''Grobnar:''' I'm sorry, but--[[spoiler:Shandra? Shandra]], [[PleaseWakeUp please get up.]] You see, we've won, really. We've come all this way to save you, and we got here just in time...haven't we?
** [[spoiler:When you confront Ammon Jerro and make him realize his actions caused Shandra's death, he kneels down and implores her to forgive him. Which she does, if the sudden beam of heavenly light revealing a personal treasure is any indication.]]
** It's also pretty much a completely senseless death - [[spoiler: Ammon Jerro believed all his relations had died, and he needs the Knight-Commander alive anyway to complete the ritual to undo the King of Shadows - while to this point, Ammon Jerro has been framed as an antagonistic, he's about to join the party, because the Knight-Commander needs him and he needs the Knight-Commander. The ONLY reason the party enters the Haven is because they believe that Ammon himself is their enemy, and that "Ammon Jerro" is just Shandra's dead relative who is their only lead on the King of Shadows. So if he'd just stopped to TALK, or even to ask how they entered the Haven in the first place, instead of simply attacking the party on sight, or even just had stopped to ask the obvious question of how she COULD release the demons sealed away, her death could have been averted entirely.]] PoorCommunicationKills, indeed.
* [[spoiler:Neeshka's betrayal]]. All three are pretty tragic: [[spoiler:the one where she turns on you because you've neglected her, the one where she's ''forced'' to turn on you, screaming out tearful apologies all the while, or the one where [[SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments she manages to break through the control to join the first person to ever show her kindness - you]]]].
* Bishop's eventual fate. Despite all his bravado about it, it's pretty clear that [[spoiler:he's ''terrified'' by the thought of being essentially erased from existence]].
* Ammon's and Gann's eventual fates. Ammon will likely [[spoiler: be dragged to the lower planes when he dies because of all his DealWithTheDevil moments in his quest to stop The King of Shadows]]. And Gann will most likely [[spoiler: end up on the wall for being a FlatEarthAtheist who is implied to stay that way even if he's romanced by a cleric PC in the best ending. The best outcome for him is to pledge himself to you in the "bind Akashi" ending, which is [[BittersweetEnding bittersweet]] at best]].
* When Neeshka comes to visit you before the trial, she'll offer to cheat by rubbing acid on Lorne's weapons and armor. It doesn't really matter ''how'' Lawful you are: you ''will'' let her do it, because the alternative is hearing her say the following in the voice of a child who's been told their drawing isn't good enough to go on the fridge:
-->'''Neeshka''': All right. I mean, I only had to steal the acid out of Sand's shop and avoid his wards, but if you don't need it, you don't need it. Or me.
* Gannayev's backstory. He is a child of a night hag, [[spoiler: who fell in love with a human, and when she refused to kill his father, her sisters of the coven made her eat her husband, which drove her crazy. Gann is shocked when he finds out the truth. Thankfully, you can exact vengeance on the coven.]]
** [[spoiler:Note that Gann's mother states that her lover was [[FridgeHorror still alive and very conscious when she ate him.]]]]
--->[[spoiler:As your mother gave in to her appetites, so was she forced to devour her own mate... in the manner of all hags, piece by piece, leaving just enough alive to scream.]]
