The show ''Series/LostTapes'' has some genuinely emotional moments.
----
* ''Monster of Monterey'': When you really think about it, poor Sharon's fate is really pitiable. She's finally made it into the home stretch at the end of a three month long world-wide sailing trip for her journalism work at the start of the episode, and she's clearly looking forward to finally returning home and reuniting with her boyfriend Charles (whom she's maintained steady contact with via Skype over the course of her trip). She couldn't have possibly guessed how her well-intentioned decision to go investigate the distress call from the captain of the Vessel Kahuna would ultimately lead to her discovering a truly nightmarish aftermath of a vicious attack and subsequently getting killed by the mysterious creature responsible. Making matters worse is that, she was actually smart enough to have no intention of going back into the water after discovering the aftermath of the creature's attack on the Kahuna and likewise was following all the appropriate safety precautions...before, by sheer rotten luck, one of her sails jams while she's working to unfurl her boat's sails to allow herself to easily leave despite her engine being jammed a second time, allowing her to end up in a truly disadvantageous position when the monster rams her boat yet again immediately after she's gotten the jamming resolved and allowed the sails to fully unfurl. And worse yet, there's a brief HopeSpot where it looks as if, despite being forced to cut loose from her safety tether to allow herself the ability to swim around the boat to try to reach the stern ladder, she might still make it back onto the boat before the monster can reach her...only for the wind to pick up and fill the fully unfurled sails so as to cause the boat to drift away faster than she can swim, leaving her doomed to become the monster's next victim. And all while Charles can only [[ForcedToWatch helplessly watch from the safety of where he was having his Skype call with her]] and desperately beg for her to try to catch up and get back on the boat.
* ''Oklahoma Octopus'': The deaths of Bruce and Ruthie given how affectionate and happy they were as a couple. Even more tragic is the former sensing something off about [[{{Jerkass}} Tyler's]] disappearance and [[AFriendInNeed going to his rescue]] despite Ruthie and the others telling him its not worth it, only to find Tyler gone and gets pulled down seconds later in front of the remaining teens.
** Poor Sean and Tracy watched most of their friends get taken down by the titular octopus and are left with no other choice but to go for broke by swimming to shore. They thankfully make it out alive, but not before getting manhandled briefly by the octopus. Sean in particular was just trying to show his pals a good time before they headed off for college...only for him and the surviving Tracy to be horribly traumatized by the grim outing.
* ''Devil Dragon'': Knowing he's about to die, Tim bids farewell to his wife and daughter, "Hey Catherine... not how I expected to... tell Maria that I love her... take care of her... love you both..." His anguished scream of "Leave me alone!" when he's being stalked by the lizard really tugs at the heartstrings. The man has just given up all sense of dignity by that point and is desperate to not die.
* ''Hellhound'':
-->'''Nora:''' Severin? ''Severin''? ''(sad)'' You looked.
* ''Thunderbird'': Due to a prank pulled by Paxton, Cole accidentally injures his leg while skateboarding. If his crying isn't enough to make you feel for the poor kid, then the dangers of being in the same area as the Thunderbird certainly will be. Luckily, Cole was found alive the next morning half a mile away, albeit without any memory of what happened after his injury.
* The fate of the rookie Enigma team member Tanner in ''Zombie'', who got bitten and turned into the titular monster. It has been stated he had a funeral in Texas with Conner and Mooney in attendance, likely indicating that one of the two put him down.
** On that note, that poor woman who was sacrificed in ''Q: The Serpent God''. She's ''[[TearsOfFear sobbing profusely]]'' while strapped helplessly to a table with the knowledge that some lunatics are about to ''tear her still beating heart from her chest'' and there's nothing she can do about it.
* ''Dover Demon'': The last two victims, a married couple, try and outrun the creature, only for the husband to end up falling into a pit in the ground which causes his leg to break. The wife crawls in after him and then they see a rotting corpse right next to them. It dawns on them that this is a trap set upon them by the creature and so realizing there's no escape now, the wife crawls in and lies next to her wounded husband. Both are scared and in tears. All the wife can do is hold on to her husband and try to keep him calm and both of them safe just as the creature begins to crawl in after them. The saddest part is, they spent the last minutes of their lives together trapped in the pit in sheer terror. The wife tries to kill the creature by shooting at it but fails and the Dover Demon succeeds in killing them off-screen with their screams heard as the camera blackens out.
