!! Short Summary
A filler arc set after the ''[[Recap/OnePieceDavyBackFightArc Davy Back Fight Arc]]''. One night as the crew rest, a boy with a seahorse-shaped flute plays it near the ship. The next day the crew awaken with their memories of each other wiped out, except for Robin. It's up to her, who was the only one not affected, to get the crew's memories back and find out the cause of it.

''Ocean's Dream Arc'' has the following tropes:

* AdaptationNameChange: A necessary example. In the Playstation game, the antagonist boy's name was [[HelloInsertNameHere whatever the player named their save file]], but in this arc, he's named Drim.
* AmnesiaEpisode: The main plot has a seahorse steal all the memories of the protagonists (with the exception of Nico Robin since she was the only one who wasn't asleep when the flute played) since they joined the Straw Hat crew. At the end, Luffy defeats the seahorse and returns everything to normal.
* TheAnimeOfTheGame: Based on a Platform/PlayStation game that came about two years earlier (the plot was then ''[[RecursiveAdaptation re]]''-adapted into Platform/GameBoyAdvance game later that year).
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: One of Noko the seahorse's powers is to induce this. He used it to manipulate a boy named Drim into doing his bidding, and hypnotize Zoro into fighting Luffy.
* {{Callback}}: The seahorse is doing all this so he can become a Millennium Dragon which viewers may remember from the ''[[Recap/OnePieceWarshipIslandArc Warship Island Arc]]''.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: The Straw Hats go back to their original characterizations when their memories are taken, with Sanji's flirtiness being less {{Flanderized}}, Chopper being much more shy, Nami being distrustful of the Straw Hats, etc.
* ChasedByAngryNatives: The Straw Hats at the end of the arc.
* ClippedWingAngel: Noko absorbing ''all'' of the Straw Hats' memories at the end of the arc only makes him a bigger target, as just Luffy holding onto him was enough to get him to cough some of them back out.
* TheDogWasTheMastermind: The seahorse "flute" is sentient and the cause of the whole dilemma.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: The crew is mistakenly blamed for the memory loss of the island after defeating the seahorse.
* LetsYouAndHimFight: The second time Luffy and Zoro fight.
* PoorCommunicationKills: A lot of problems would have probably been solved or avoided if people told Robin about the adventures they have been on since before she joined. Similary, once Luffy gets his memories back, he never explains to Nami that he defeated Arlong long ago, and therefore has no reason to rush back to the East Blue.
