In yet another money-making scheme, Eddy decides to embrace big business in it's purest form with the foundation of "Ed Co."; a company with the identity of always moving upwards, i.e "going up", quickly enlisting the rest of the Cul-De-Sac kids in his corporate vision.

!!This Episode provides examples of
* AdjacentToThisCompleteBreakfast: Double D tries to run Ed through a maze to reach a box of Chunky Puffs on the other side, which is shown this way. Ed gets so excited that he [[CuttingTheKnot runs through every wall in the maze instead]], possibly as a nod to a similar ''Mini-Chex'' ad of the time.
* ArcWords:
** "Up". Both it and words that stem from "up" like "upchucked", "uppercut" and "get-up" are brought up over seventy times in this episode, in upkeeping with the "go nowhere but up" mantra.
** To contrast, "down" and words that stem from "down" like "downtrodden" or "downer" are said sixteen times, and used almost exclusively in negative contexts. The first sign of things going downhill for Ed Co. is seen as Kevin "walking down the driveway", and the episode ends with the Eds on the moon, wanting to go down.
* ArtisticLicenseSpace:
** The moon is much bigger than in the episode.
** The moon is ''not'' crescent-shaped. It only looks that way from your perspective on earth only during lunar phases.
* BatmanCanBreatheInSpace: The Eds don't suffocate from a lack of oxygen when they reach the moon.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Eddy wanted the elevator to go nowhere but up. Ed ended up building the elevator so high that it ended up getting the Eds stuck on the moon.
* CheekCopy: Jonny makes a photocopy of Plank's "butt".
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Ed stupidly runs through the cardboard maze walls constructed by Edd and unintentionally cheats his way to the Chunky Puffs.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Eddy, especially cause he wouldn't even pay his employees.
* CuttingTheKnot: Ed [[DungeonBypass plowing through the maze]] to reach the Chunky Puffs.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: Eddy's entire motivation to start the business was to go nowhere but up… and that's about all he had.
* ExactWords: Double D tells Ed that he would have to go through the maze in order to get to the balanced breakfast of Chunky Puffs. He didn't count on Ed smashing through the ''walls'' of the maze.
* ExtremeOmnivore: Ed doesn't just eat the Chunky Puffs, he eats the entire box in one bite.
* FreudianSlip: Eddy asking Rolf, "What do I pay you for anyway?" This makes the kids realize that ''they weren't getting paid''.
* JourneyToTheSky: The motto of the Eds' company is "''go no where but up''", and this materializes into the build of an elevator that reaches so high that it takes the characters to the moon. This doesn't end well, since this leaves them stranded in the moon. It was originally just two floors, but Ed kept adding more junk to it.
* LiteralMinded: Ed takes Eddy's command that they go "up" literally, as he builds up the elevator until it goes all the way up to the moon.
* MissingStepsPlan:
** Step 1: Go nowhere but up!
** Step 2: ?
** Step 3: [[WesternAnimation/SouthPark Profit!]]
* SendInTheClones: Ed generates a clone of himself to help add more material to the elevator.
* RunningGag:
** The characters especially Edd and Eddy using the words 'Up' or 'Down' or phrases involving the words such as 'Upchucked' or 'Downhill'.
** Ed continuously building the elevator
** The kids (Except Sarah & Kevin) getting hired to 'work' at Ed Co.
* ShoutOut:
** The title of the episode ([[GeniusBonus as well as the fact that a horse is in the title card]]) is a reference to Series/MisterEd.
*** It can also be a reference to ''Film/TheyCallMeMisterTibbs''.
** "What's with the {{Series/Car 54|WhereAreYou}} get-up?"
** Ed's augmentation of the elevator could be a nod to the TowerOfBabel.
* SpaceElevator: Ed achieves building this while Eddy and Edd were busy running a company without a method of earning revenue.
* SpannerInTheWorks: Kevin, who doesn't fall for Eddy's scheme, and him fighting Rolf when the latter tries to throw him out of the "office" is what leads to Eddy accidentally pointing out that no one is getting paid and Ed Co. isn't a real company.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Strangely Sarah was the only kid not to be present in the episode. In fact this is one of the very few episodes where Sarah was absent and the other kids were present.
* YourMindMakesItReal: Edd sets up dotted lines on the ground to indicate the walls of Eddy's office. Later, as Ed is running around, he somehow slams against one of the nonexistent walls.
