1	* Samantha's parents' apologies to her for missing her birthday:
2	** Mr. Baker comes and chats with her after his apology, and assures her that if Jake doesn't see her for everything beautiful he can see in his daughter, then he's not worth it.
3	** Mrs. Baker's mea culpa (which was demanded by the actress Carlin Glynn in an effort to avert the InformedAttribute trope and prove her character is a good mom) where she was in tears for not getting the hint about her daughter's birthday. They then bond over Mike being a little ass.
4	* Jake frees Ted after the party, and despite being in wildly different social circles, the two have an amicable chat about relationships, with Ted even encouraging Jake to ask Sam out despite spending the whole movie attracted to her.
5	* When Ted's not acting like a HormoneAddledTeenager, his chat with Sam in the car is rather sweet, as he sits there and listens to her problems.
6	* Mr. Baker giving the ok for Sam to go with Jake, instead of the reception. Perfect aversion of BoyfriendBlockingDad.
7	* Caroline and Jake's break up: it's very amicable and they've admitted they don't have much stake in the relationship and wish each other the best.
8	* Jake picking Samantha up: he really does want you, Samantha, and he's taking Cinderella from the ball.
9	** Later, their mini-celebration over cake:

12	* ValuesDissonance aside, the morning-after convo that Farmer Ted and Caroline share counts as this. Ted is concerned that she enjoyed herself. She realizes that she did and may even be interested in pursuing the relationship.
