* For the 40th anniversary of ''Series/SesameStreet'', Buddy made a massive cake shaped as the Street itself for the cast and crew of the show. As an added bonus, he also made an enormous chocolate chip cookie (at least three feet in diameter) just for Cookie Monster, who he says is one of his favorite characters.
-->'''Joey the Head Baker''': You talk about him like he's a real person.
-->'''Buddy''': He is.
* Whenever someone commissions a wedding proposal cake, it turns into this.
** One example is a guy who mentioned that he and girlfriend (later his fiancé) were both planning to become doctors and had met during their first year of medical school--when Buddy finished the cake and brought it to the hospital where the couple interned at, he and the guy got some other people from the hospital to help them and Buddy even disguised himself as a doctor to make the plan work even better.
** Another example that has the same concept involved a guy who was working with a proposal planner--the guy mentioned that his girlfriend (later his fiancé) was really into baking and has always wanted to come to Carlo's Bakery, and the proposal planner got Mauro to help them take over one of the baking classes taught at the Lackawanna Center. The proposal planner hired a bunch of extras to pose as other people taking the class, and plan was that a group of cakes would spell out "Will You Marry Me?", which the guy's girlfriend would see and her boyfriend would pop the question then.
* All of Carlo Salvatore Valastro's birth, including the reveal of his name. (Carlo being the name of the original bakery owner, and Salvatore after the Valastro family's friend and long-time Carlo's Bakery employee who had recently died from cancer.)
* Any time Buddy's kids are shown working at the bakery with him, Buddy always comments how special it is to him because it brings back memories of him at their age working with his father as well as his kids taking an interest in the family business.
** "Soap, Sonograms and Surprises": Buddy and his oldest son, Buddy Jr., bake a cake together. Aw...
** In the episode "Cake Smash", Buddy was hired to make some "smash" cakes for the first birthdays of a trio of babies, and wanting to get some recon on it, he had his wife, Lisa, bring in their youngest son, Carlo (who was around a year old at the time), and see what he do with a cake in that situation--but rather than destroy the cake, Carlo imitates what his dad normally does with cakes (decorating them and whatnot). Buddy, Lisa and Buddy's sisters (particularly Buddy's sisters) found this to be absolutely adorable.
** "Ships Ahoy, Mary's Mix-Up and Elevator Error" has Buddy Jr., who's roughly 10 or 11 years old when the episode was filled, working along side Buddy on his teenage twin cousins' cake for their Catholic Confirmation. Said cousin Joseph says, "The Buddys know how to do it".
** In "Father's Day Collapse, Buddy's Surprise, And Tee Time" all four of Buddy's kids (Sofia, Buddy Jr., Marco, and Carlo) surprise him with a cake they made on their own at the bakery without him finding out.
* In one episode, Buddy took in four girls from the Make-A-Wish Foundation whose dreams were to be bakers, and he made one-of-a-kind cakes with them before making a hot air balloon cake for a reception that Make-A-Wish was holding. And some other things that happened in that same episode:
** The last of the four girls was a teenager who explained that she was a cancer survivor, and Buddy, initially not expecting much, was so impressed with her cake decorating skills ([[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome which were actually quite good]]) that he offered her the chance to become an actual employee at Carlo's once she's old enough, which the girl gladly accepted.
** Buddy's oldest sister, Grace, and her husband, Joey, were asked to make a speech at the reception--it turns out that their daughter, Bartolina, suffered from epilepsy as a kid (but is now fine) and was offered the chance to "make a wish" through the foundation. However, Bartolina turned it down, claiming that she already had everything she could ever need/want and told the organization to give the opportunity to someone else.
*** What's also really cool is that Bartolina has become a spokesperson for epilepsy and helps people understand what it's like for families to live with someone who has that condition.
* In the first episode of the second season, Anthony accidentally crashes into someone while out on a cake delivery and totals the delivery car (though, miraculously, the cake he was delivering was fine). He calls Buddy to explain what happened and is upset and (understandably) worried about what Buddy's reaction will be. But what's Buddy's main priority after being informed of what happened? Making sure that Anthony (and by extension, the guy he crashed into) are okay.
** Thankfully, no one was hurt in the crash--the only damage done was to the cars and the cake, as previously mentioned, was okay (though Anthony points out that it was probably due to the fact that he wasn't even driving that fast when the crash happened). In the ValentinesDayEpisode of the third season, the same guy that Anthony crashed into comes to Buddy to make an order for the significant women in his life (his mom, his sister and his girlfriend), which Buddy agrees to do.
* After Buddy's mom, Mary Valastro Pinto, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (aka, "ALS" and "Lou Gehrig's disease"), a disease that weakens your muscles and motor skills, Buddy and his four older sisters eventually start a foundation called the "Momma Mary Foundation." The foundation not only helped their mom, but it also helps other people who may be dealing with the same thing that Buddy and his family had to go through.
* Mary was briefly taken out of the bakery after being accused of being mean to some of the employees--she was eventually rehired and put in a different position, and by that time, she and Buddy managed to patch things up and acknowledged that Buddy, as the boss, had to do what was best for the business, but that they're still family and that they would eventually work things out.
* After Hurricane Sandy, several events occurred for Buddy and his crew:
** For one, they gave some of their still-good cookies and other baked goods to hurricane relief teams and people who lost their homes due to the hurricane as a way to show support for his hometown.
** His sisters serve people hot coffee and baked goods during the aftermath after the store gets back in order.
** Buddy hires Paul, a former contestant from one of Buddy's reality shows Next Great Baker, after the hurricane took away everything, despite him and Ashley, the winner of said season, strongly disliking each other and Buddy and later Joey remind them that the job isn't a competition. It's nice to see Buddy giving people who had hard times to get back on their feet.
* In the Season 3-episode, "Snooki, Super Anthony and a Ship," the episode where Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi from Jersey Shore appears, she comes to Carlo's Bakery to order a birthday cake for her mom, Helen. Snooki's interactions with her family is very sweet--she's obviously still very close to her parents and it's explained that because of Snooki's work, she's unable to see her parents as often as she would like to, and Snooki's mom is very touched by the cake that her daughter got for her.
* In "A Barter, A Baker, And An Italian Professor" two preteen brothers whose family owns a pizza business offer the bakery a deal to trade free pizza for 3 1/2 months in exchange for a cake because the boys, being just children, have no form of income to pay money with but wanted to get their little sister a customized pony cake for her 6th birthday party the two of them throwing without their parents' help.
