[[caption-width-right:350:This isn't how Wallace was expecting to dance the bunny hop...]]
The entire movie is one long series of sight gags, silent snarking, and puns, but these moments stand out above the others:
----
* The opening shot of the movie, which pans across the pictures on Wallace and Gromit's wall. One set of pictures reveals an unfolding fight in the photo studio as Wallace sneaks some cheese, leaving the two annoyed with each other before they make up. Because they hung up all of these pictures, there's the rather sweet implication that they look back on it with humor now.
* The funniest characters in the movie are definitely the rabbits with the funniest moment coming from the intro where a rabbit was captured by Wallace and Gromit and revealing that the rabbit had managed to catch the elderly woman's teeth in a scuffle; this is shown when the rabbit displays a huge grin.
--> "(gasp) Reg! Me teeth!"
** The same rabbit moments prior [[FunnyBackgroundEvent tries to punch the elderly man]] but is just out of arm's reach.
* When Wallace gets stuck in the chute leading to the kitchen, he asks Gromit for assistance.
-->'''Wallace''': Oh, uh-uh, Gromit, ol' pal, heh! Happened again! I'll need assistance! (''Gromit slowly walks over to another lever labeled "assistance" and pulls it; a giant mallet comes out of Wallace's closet and whacks him though the hole'') OW!
** And the cause: shown by the MeaningfulLook Gromit gives to a jar labelled Middle Aged Spread.
* When Wallace is about to give the Mind Manipulation O-Matic its first try.
--> '''Wallace:''' [[TemptingFate I haven't tested it yet, but it should be perfectly safe. Just a bit of harmless brain alteration, that's all.]]
* How Lady Tottington's initial phone conversation with Wallace ends.
--> '''Wallace:''' Just stay right where you are, your ladyship, and we'll be there in an—''[accidentally triggers the Mind Manipulation-O-Matic to retract while still attached to his head]'' Aaaahhhh!
--> '''Lady Tottington:''' [[MondegreenGag In an hour?]] I can't wait an hour. I have a major infestation!
* First Victor's hair, and then Victor himself, being sucked into the Bun-Vac.
** This exchange between Victor and Wallace:
--->'''Victor''': I want... (''beat'') toupee[[note]][[DontExplainTheJoke to pay]][[/note]], please.\
'''Wallace''': Oh, grand! We take cheque or cash-\
'''Victor''': ''TOUPEE'', you idiot! My ''hair'' is in ''your machine!''\
'''Wallace''': Oh no, it's only rabbits in there! The hare, I think you'll find, [[EntertaininglyWrong is a much larger mammal]].
** Then, when he thought he found his toupee from the pile of rabbits, it’s revealed quickly that he mistook a rabbit for his wig. Said rabbit proceeds to wave goodbye as Victor stomps off.
** All the rabbits in the Bun-Vac wave back while Wallace, Lady Tottington and Gromit stare after him.
* Wallace reading "Ay-Up!" magazine.
* The Reverend hears something in the church on the night of the first Were-Rabbit transformation, and this gem occurs:
-->'''Reverend:''' Hello? Is anybody there? (''loud burp from offscreen'') Mrs. Mulch?
** Then when the Were-Rabbit reveals itself and advances on him, he tries to fend it off with a hastily improvised cross..........composed of two cucumbers. Three guesses as to how successful this is.
* At the town meeting, it's chaos. The townsfolk are squabbling and ranting at Wallace for not protecting their crops. An elder, Mr. Growbag, claims he hasn't seen such "cauliflower carnage" since [[NoodleIncident the Great Slug Blight of '32]]... When there were slugs the size of pigs.
-->'''Mrs. Mulch''': Growbag's right! ''The slugs are back!!!''\
''(townsfolk erupt into a mass panic)''
** Gets funnier in that the movie's LicensedGame features were-slugs, which are indeed the size of pigs.
* The policeman telling the church organist to knock off her dramatic organ pounding during the Vicar's exposition.
* After the vicar claims the were-rabbit attacked the town, Victor arrives and scoffs.
-->'''Victor''': I do believe the vicar's been to the communion wine again!
* The villagers' meeting gives us one of the most perfect FacePalm moments ''ever'', after Lady Tottington suggests giving Anti-Pesto a second chance:
--> '''Victor:''' How on earth would those tiny-minded buffoons ever catch such a big rabbit?\
'''Lady Tottington:''' Mr. Wallace? (''turns to him'')\
'''Wallace:''' Um...well, uhh... With a big trap!\
(''cue epic FacePalm from Gromit'')\
'''Villager:''' By Jove, he's...he's got it!\
(''Cue the other villagers all congratulating Wallace'')
* The "big trap": a gigantic female Were-Rabbit puppet controlled by Gromit in the back of the Anti-Pesto van. The cherry on the sundae happens when Gromit sees an upcoming tunnel too low for the puppet to go through. He first points and puts a hand to his mouth, and then starts waving frantically. The female Were-Rabbit copies both of its puppeteer's actions, but Wallace doesn't notice any of this and keeps driving.
--> '''Wallace:''' You're a total knockout! *WHACK*
** Later, Gromit uses the female Were-Rabbit puppet to lure Were-Rabbit Wallace away from danger. Upon seeing the female Were-Rabbit, Were-Rabbit Wallace brushes back his ears and then chases after the female Were-Rabbit, grabs its paw and [[KissUpTheArm carpets the arm with kisses]], before pinching the female Were-Rabbit's tail. Gromit's eyes widen, before he indignantly slaps Were-Rabbit Wallace. [[AmazonChaser Were-Rabbit Wallace likes it]] and heatedly snorts out a warm cloud through his nose.
* Gromit, sitting alone in the van, turns on the radio waiting for Wallace to come back and hears a couple bars of [[WesternAnimation/WatershipDown "Bright Eyes"]] before [[TakeThat rolling his eyes and shutting it down]].
* If you look closely, there is a small sticker on the van's back that says "Eat cheese now. Ask me how."
* The windshield wipers have settings marked "Light Rain," "Heavy Rain," and "Heavy Loam." Gromit has to use the last of these to wipe the loose dirt away as he's pulled underground after Were-Rabbit Wallace.
* "DE-ICE, DE-MIST, DE-MUD" ''Cue Gromit's vehicle shaking like a dog''.
* Hutch burping in Gromit's face.
* Wallace's [[TransformationSequence first on-screen transformation]] is [[NightmareFuel pretty scary]], but has a lot of funny moments in it:
** A [[FreezeFrameBonus blink-and-you-miss-it moment]] right before all this, when Wallace gets slingshotted backwards by his suspenders, his eyes literally pop out of his head cartoonishly for one frame.
** Gromit locking the door ''veeeeeryy slooooowlyyy'' as he realizes that ThisIsGonnaSuck.
** Another moment before all this, Wallace manages to block Victor’s punch offscreen, then throws him into the air at the point where he slams into the Anti-Pesto van. His face even flattens like… well, clay [[FreezeFrameBonus for one frame.]]
** When Wallace's body starts making its transition from human to rabbit, the first thing we see happen is Wallace grow a pair of buckteeth, and if you look closely enough, Wallace is seen smiling for a bit as they appear. It's quite a jarring but hilarious mood dissonance, especially when you consider the rest of the transformation is supposed to be serious and frightening.
** Victor looking at Gromit (as if to explain what's happening) and Gromit shrugging.
** Phillip scratching at the door to the van and Gromit slowly shaking his head at him.
** Victor getting Wallace's y-front underpants launched in his face after being hit by all of the buttons from Wallace's shirt as it's being ripped.
** Victor having to hang onto his wig to keep it from blowing away as fully-transformed Wallace lets out a roar.
** Victor letting out a ''very'' [[ScreamsLikeALittleGirl high-pitched scream]] when the Were-Rabbit tosses a log over him and Gromit.
** It wouldn't be a 'were-whatever' film if something didn't howl at the moon, so the Were-Rabbit proceeds to do just that -- while also beating his chest like he's Tarzan. And when the normal rabbits hear him, they ''also'' start howling and beating their chests.
* When Victor comes to talk to the Reverend about the Beast, this exchange occurs.
-->'''Rev. Clement Hedges''': Everything you need to know is in this book.\
(''Victor eyes a magazine on the table that says...'')\
'''Victor Quartermaine''': "Nun-Wrestling?"\
'''Rev. Clement Hedges''': No, no! I meant ''this'' one.\
(''lays a huge book on the table titled "The Observer's Book of Monsters by [[PunnyName Claude Savagely]]".'')
* An annoyed Victor slamming shut the window because DramaticThunder keeps punctuating the Vicar's exposition.
* Combining a ShoutOut with a (terrible) pun, Wallace is left with a set of rabbit ears and a fondness for vegetables, leaving Gromit only able to stare in shock. Wallace's reaction?
--> "(chomps carrot) Uh... [[BorrowedCatchphrase what's up]], [[WesternAnimation/BugsBunny dog]]?"
** Just before that, Wallace says he hopes Gromit is keeping an eye on their were-rabbit. Gromit, staring at Wallace, just nods very slowly.
* Wallace [[CouldntFindATissue blowing his nose into his rabbit ears]] after exclaiming, "I don't want to be a giant rabbit!" Doubles as Main/TearJerker.
* Hutch's quotes that are taken from previous ''W&G'' shorts are hilarious in their new context.
--> ''Aww, the bounce is gone from his bungee!''
* Wallace [[RefugeInAudacity blowing raspberries at Lady Tottington, a noblewoman]], while in the middle of his were-rabbit transformation.
** The lead-up to the above, after Wallace slams the door in Lady Tottington's face. She walks off in a very dignified way, only to pause and look back when she hears all the thumping and crashing coming from the house as Gromit struggles with the transforming Wallace.
* At the festival, Victor and Phillip are quietly waiting for the Were-Rabbit/Wallace to appear. Cue being found by a festival-goer.
-->'''Victor Quartermaine''': All we have to do now is wait for our fluffy friend to appear.\
(''Festival goer appears in Victor's scope, blocking the view of the festival'')\
'''Festival Goer''': (''Loudly'') Ay! Look over 'ere, everyone! It's Victor!\
(''Everyone starts swarming around him'')\
'''Another Festival Goer''': Please, sir, kiss my baby!\
'''Victor Quartermaine''': (''annoyed'') Uh, yes, another time, perhaps.\
'''Yet Another Festival Goer''': Kiss my potato!\
'''Victor Quartermaine''': (''slightly flustered'') N-not now!\
'''Mr. Growbag''': Kiss my [[LastSecondWordSwap arrrrrtichoke!]]
* This gem during the Festival where everyone thinks the Beast is dead and praises Victor as a hero. And when Victor tries to whisper the truth to Constable [=McIntosh=], he accidentally blurts it out through the megaphone.
-->'''PC [=McIntosh=]''': (''into megaphone'') Oi, you!\
'''Victor Quartermaine''': Constable?\
'''PC [=McIntosh=]''': (''into megaphone'') Careful with them capsicums.\
'''Victor Quartermaine''': (''whispering'') Listen, I don't want to cause any panic, but the beast isn't actually dead yet.\
'''PC [=McIntosh=]''': (''into megaphone'') '''[[AccidentalPublicConfession THE BEAST ISN'T ACTUALLY DEAD YET?!]]'''\
[''[[StunnedSilence The festival comes to a screeching halt as everybody stares in shock in Victor's direction, complete with a bit of candy floss blowing by like tumbleweed]]'']\
'''PC [=McIntosh=]''': (''into megaphone, [[FacePalm while Victor rubs his forehead in exasperation]]'') [[DidIJustSayThatOutLoud Oops...]]\
(''The crowd promptly has a MassOhCrap'')
** And then when Victor, trying to get the panicking crowd's attention, [[ShutUpGunshot fires his gun in the air]]...which was loaded with the second of three golden bullets. Victor's expression as he realises this is essentially a hands-free FacePalm.
--->'''Victor''': I've only got two... (''{{Beat}} as Victor realises what he just did'') [[VerbalBackspace I've only got]] ''[[VerbalBackspace one]]'' [[VerbalBackspace gold bullet left]]!
*** Then when he's run out of ammunition, he demands another gold bullet from the Vicar, who points out that he doesn't have any more because [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome they ARE expensive after all]].
* Appropriately, Lady Tottington uses Pansy Spray, applied [[EyeScream to the eyes]], to keep Victor from shooting Were-Rabbit Wallace.
* Victor ramming a pitchfork into Lady Tottington's hair.
-->'''Victor Quartermaine''': Hmm...I rather like your hair pinned back.
** Which becomes a visual gag later when the pitchfork holes are covered with plasters! (band-aids for Americans)
* Towards the end, when Victor gets his pants caught on a weathervane:
-->'''Reverend:''' Beware [[StealthPun the moon!]]
* After a fearful Were-Rabbit knocks a vase off the roof...
-->'''PC Mackintosh''': Stand back! There may be a large rabbit dropping!
* The plane fight with Gromit and Phillip. Specifically, when it's interrupted by the plane's time running out and requiring the entire fight to cease as the combatants root around for change.
** Made funnier by Phillip's brightly-colored, flower change-purse. Mostly because it is ''definitely'' not what you'd expect a dog like [[{{Jerkass}} him]] to have. Philip's embarrassed take to Gromit sells it.
* Victor letting out a BigNo and then flinging his gun onto the ground and [[AgitatedItemStomping hopping up and down on it]], screaming, [[UnusualEuphemism "Potty poo!"]] after Gromit rescues Were-Rabbit!Wallace by having the Golden Carrot Award hit his plane instead.
* Victor's HumiliationConga, complete with Gromit [[DustingOffYourHands dusting his paws of him]] before stomping back into the tent to tend to the Were-Rabbit.
* This line from the Vicar when he and the mob are chasing after Victor disguised as the Were-Rabbit:
--> "Destroy! Drive out the monstrosity!"
* When Wallace finds himself nude after returning to normal, he grabs a nearby box to cover himself up. The label on the box, naturally, is "[[{{Pun}} May Contain Nuts."]]
