* At a cafe, Leon tries to get Ninotchka to laugh by trying to tell her a series of jokes, one of which gets the others in the cafe to laugh (a man asks a waiter for a cup of coffee without cream; five minutes later, the waiter returns and says, "I'm sorry, sir, but we're out of cream; would you take one without milk?"), but Ninotchka refuses to laugh. In frustration, Leon leans back in his chair and ends up falling down against the table behind him, ending up on the floor. That's when Ninotchka starts to laugh (along with the other patrons of the cafe). Then, when Leon gets up and sits next to Nonotchka, he breaks into laughter as well.
* This exchange between Ninotchka and a train porter:
-->'''Ninotchka:''' Why do you want to carry my bags?
-->'''Porter:''' That is my business.
-->'''Ninotchka:''' That is no business. That's social injustice.
-->'''Porter:''' That depends on the tip.
* [[RunningGag That hat]]. You'll know it when you see it.
* Ninotchka's boss (played by Creator/BelaLugosi) gets a disturbing telegram about her former associates:
-->'''Commisar Razinin:''' How can the Bolshevik cause gain respect among the Muslims if your three representatives Bujlianoff, Iranoff and Kopalski get so drunk that they throw a carpet out of their hotel window and complain to the management that it didn't fly?
