In 2023 Creator/ImageComics released a seemingly-original comic titled ''ComicBook/VoidRivals'', written by Creator/RobertKirkman. Near the end of the first issue, the main characters repair an abandoned spacecraft, [[StealthSequel which turned out to be a giant robot named Jetfire]]. Image now had the comic license to ''Franchise/{{Transformers}}'' (which was formerly owned by Creator/IDWPublishing) and ''Franchise/GIJoe''.

All three properties will now have their own SharedUniverse with Kirkman effectively acting as the showrunner.

!!Tropes found across all books
* DarkerAndEdgier: The entire universe is essentially a much more mature take on the classic Sunbow cartoons for Transformers and G.I. Joe.
* MacGuffinTitle: Energon plays a HUGE role throughout the books. The inhabitants of the Sacred Ring are implied to run on it, Cybertron desperately needs it, and Cobra’s plans for world domination revolve around acquiring it.
* MythArc: Seems to have one revolving around the awakening of the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth and the subsequent discovery of the alien energy source known as Energon.
