!Hestia Familia
Initially a low-ranking Familia with a sole member, Bell's discovery of the Holy Grail and subsequent summoning of Servants quickly rises the Familia to newfound fame.

[[folder:In General]]
* AchillesHeel: As powerful as Servants are, their weak link is the Master, Bell. If their bond to him is severed in any way, such as him dying or being under the effects of an AntiMagic Magic Item, they will begin to fade away.
* AdaptationalBadass: Barring Servants, Lily and Bell grow much faster than they did in the novels and develop abilities they otherwise never had.
* AdaptationalWealth: Thanks to Caster, the Hestia Familia is insanely wealthy almost from the get-go and buys up their own manor long before their War Game with Apollo.
* AlmightyJanitor: All of the Servants are Level 1, but each one is fully capable of taking on entire Familias, some of which have Adventurers who are Level 6 and 7.
* AwesomeButImpractical: Many of the crews' Noble Phantasms (or equivalents) can be so mana-intensive that using them will knock Bell out from having his magical reserves sapped so quickly. As a result, the Servants tend to hold back and only resort them when absolutely necessary.
* BadassCrew: Undoubtedly, considering its members consist of not just historical and mythological figures, but all of them are exceedingly powerful.
* BrokenMasquerade: {{Downplayed}}, but as of Chapter 54, [[spoiler:Loki Familia learns that the Servants are spirits via Revis' reaction to the presence of Saber]].
* CassandraTruth: Considering the strength of the Servants, many people are skeptical about their Levels when they tell them that they are Level 1, not taking into account that someone could have incredible skill long before they ever receive a falna, which boosts an Adventurer's capabilities.
* CurbStompBattle: Anytime a Servant enters battle, expect this to happen. So far, the only things capable of matching them are Ottarl (who fought a disguised Sigurd, though their battle was interrupted by Freya) and [[spoiler:the Juggernauts, the latter of which prove to be more than a match by not only being faster than Lancer, but also cutting off Rider's arm]].
* DualWielding: Several members like to wield a weapon in each hand. Lampshaded by a few characters.
--> '''Caster:''' (''to Hestia'') …You seem to attract Adventurers who prefer having a weapon in each hand.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: You'd be forgiven if you had never heard of the Hestia Familia before, considering that the goddess is in debt and works at a food stand and only has a single member. That all changes when Bell starts summoning Servants. [[spoiler:Chapter 41 indicates that they will become known as one of the strongest Familias in the future.]]
* HelpingWouldBeKillStealing:
** The Servants can pretty much take out anything Orario and the dungeon throw at them, but would rather hang back or purposely give themselves a handicap so they can watch Bell's growth and help foster his potential. It also helps that them just simply existing gives Bell's stats a major boost thanks to his falna registering the existences of the Servants as part of a magic spell that Bell casted, so his magic stat continues to increase whenever he fights together with them.
** It comes to a head when the Hestia Familia challenges the Apollo Familia to a War Game. Once they learn that the game would be a mutual siege, Caster explicitly forbids any of the Servants from stepping foot into the Apollo Familia's fortress. This is both to allow Bell and the others to carve their own legends and to keep a lid on just how strong the Servants are, as the event is drawing unwanted attention to them.
* MysticalWhiteHair:
** Bell and his Servants sans Caster and Rider have snow-white hair. Hestia gets teased for this, as others wonder if she HasAType by recruiting so many white-haired adventurers.
** When the Familia is posed for a picture, the photographer mistakes Bell and Jack to be Saber and Lancer's children because of their similarly white hair.
* NoOntologicalInertia: If Bell dies, his Servants lose their anchor to Orario and will fade away, therefore protecting him is their utmost priority.
* OneManArmy: When pitted against mortals, Bell's Servants can each take on an entire familia by themselves. Only the finest adventurers in Orario can hope to match their power and skill.
* RagsToRiches: Before Caster came into the Familia, Hestia was practically drowning in debt and lived in a rundown church with Bell. While Hestia is still technically in debt, this time to Caster considering he had to sell some of the treasures from the Gate of Babylon to pay off her debt to Hephaistos, the Familia now lives comfortably in a mansion and is very well off.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: The Hestia Familia has a FarmBoy, a lazy goddess, an ancient king, a Japanese bowman and magus, a Norse knight and his murderous wife, the anthropomorphic personification of unwanted children, the legendary Minotaur, and a British warrior queen living under one roof. That's not even counting the reformed thief or the blacksmith who refuses to use his most powerful ability.
* RunningGag: At one point, it's joked that the Hestia Familia seems to have an obsession with killing Minotaurs after Bell kills one himself, followed by a few more, and Lily herself killing one as well.
* ShowyInvincibleHero: The Servants can walk over anything the upper and middle floors have to offer when allowed to go all out as well as most familias on their own. Most of their victories are more or less inevitable, but the sheer spectacle of it gets the gods (and the readers) interested as the Servants also try to guide Bell towards being one himself.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: A lot of people think of the Servants as weak since they're new Adventurers and are all Level 1. Those misconceptions are almost immediately blown out of the water when people see just how powerful they are up close and personal.

[[caption-width-right:350:The Virgin Goddess]]

A goddess of Greek myth and the founder of the Hestia Familia. She initially had troubles starting a Familia until she found Bell Cranel, who shortly after finding the Holy Grail and summoning Servants, brings her new Familia to newfound heights.
----
* AintTooProudToBeg: She has a habit of doing this when asking for a monumental favor.
* AllTheOtherReindeer: She was not exactly treated nicely by the other gods for a wide variety of reasons, which is why she ventured into the human world and began a Familia.
* BigBreastPride: Flaunts her stuff in front of the otherwise flat-chested Loki, who is more than annoyed by it.
* BringIt: Hestia declares this to Apollo after seeing what happened to Emma.
* ClingyJealousGirl: She does not appreciate Bell paying attention to any woman other than herself.
* DivineDate: To say that Hestia genuinely loves Bell would be understating it. It's unknown at present whether or not Bell is aware of this fact, but everyone else sure as hell knows.
* FatalFlaw: Her spending habits and her being a PrettyFreeloader, which are thankfully curbed thanks to Caster. He manages to pay off her 200 million vali debt to Hephaistos, then put her in debt to ''him'' (it's also implied that her debt to Caster is worse than the one she had with Hephaistos if Bell's reaction to the price of the Hestia knife is of any indication) so that she could get off her ass and take her role as Goddess of the Familia seriously instead of just lounging around. It pays off and she does take her new role seriously, even managing to find new Familia members in the form of Primo and Emma.
* FunSize: She's short, tiny and sports a ''very'' impressive gravity-defying bust. This is what also earned her the nickname "Loli-Big-Boobs."
* GenkiGirl: She's easily the most outgoing God in Orario, second only to the boisterous loudmouth that is Ganesha.
* TheGlomp: She does this regularly to Bell, and later does it to Caster as he helps her not only pay off her debt, but also makes it so that the Hestia Familia can finally move out of the dilapidated church they have been living in. ''He's not amused''.
--> '''Caster:''' [[PunctuatedForEmphasis Get. Her. Off. Of. Me.]]
* GreenEyedMonster: She deeply envies Saber and Lancer's lovey-dovey husband/wife relationship as it is the kind of relationship she wants to have with Bell.
--> Hestia was not jealous. Not one bit jealous. She had no deep-seated wishes of being able to do the same thing with Bell. No sir. Not at all. [[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial She was not like those gods over there hiding behind the corner crying out tears of blood or that human biting her handkerchief in jealousy.]]
* HaremSeeker: Upon being informed that there are only male members in her Familia, Hestia wants to avoid this at all cost as it would ruin her reputation as a Virgin Goddess. Hence why she begrudgingly begs Bell to summon female Servants.
* ImmortalImmaturity: Despite being who knows how old, she acts like a child most of the time.
* {{Irony}}: She wants Bell all to herself, but as soon as he starts summoning Servants, all of whom are pretty boys, she worries people will believe that she is a HaremSeeker and asks Bell to try and summon female Servants, much to her chagrin.
* LazyBum: Subverted after Bell summons Caster, who literally put her in debt to him by selling off his Treasures to Hephaistos to pay off her debt to the Goddess of the Forge so that she would take her job as Goddess seriously.
* LivingBattery: It's noted that the main reason Bell is able to support so many Servants at once is because of his connection to Hestia through his falna.
* LonelyTogether: How her relationship with Bell and the start of the Familia ultimately began, with the former being rejected by other Familias and she being AllTheOtherReindeer among them.
* LoserDeity. ''Defied with a vengeance'' the second Bell starts summoning Servants. While she was originally mocked for being a virgin goddess and had trouble starting a Familia, her Familia rises into the spotlight as she gets more and more members, all of whom can fight and take on some of the strongest Adventurers in all of Orario. RagsToRiches indeed.
* MamaBear: While initially reluctant to have her Familia take part in the War Game but upon watching the actual footage of Emma's incident with the Apollo Familia, she's more than happy to go all-out War Game.
* PrettyFreeloader: While cute and busty, she pretty much lazes around and do nothing. Lily points out to her that the only reason Caster has her in debt to him is to kick that part out of her and she do her job as a Goddess.
* RagsToRiches: She was initially a very poor goddess who survived by freeloading off of Hephaistos and worked at a food stand to slowly pay off her debt. That all changes when Caster enters the scene.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: She ''is'' a PhysicalGod. [[ImmortalImmaturity But you wouldn't know it with how she acts]].
* TeamMom: Admittedly, Hestia is very caring towards her Familia. Upon meeting Jack, Hestia tells the girl to treat her like her mother.
* WorkOffTheDebt: ''Twice.'' She initially had a 200 million vali debt to Hephaistos, but Caster paid it off by selling some of the treasures in his Gate of Babylon...only for him to put Hestia into debt towards him ''because'' he had to sell of his treasures. This was actually done so she'd stop being a LazyBum and take her role as Goddess of the Hestia Familia seriously, and it pays off. That said, it's implied that her debt to Caster is ''much bigger'' than what she had to pay off towards Hephaistos.

Originally the sole member of the Hestia Familia, Bell is a young Adventurer who initially became one to pick up girls following his grandfather's advice. His dreams quickly change upon discovering a Holy Grail and summoning Servants, particularly Archer who saved him and dreams of reaching his level.
----
* AchillesHeel: While him being able to summon Servants definitely bolsters the Familia's power and has even led to him becoming an AdaptationalBadass, they can only exist if he has enough magic to supply them. If his magic is drained too rapidly or is inaccessible for whatever reason, the Servants become weakened. Bell found this out the hard way when Archer used his Noble Phantasm, which left Bell struggling to supply him with the mana needed to keep UBW running, and even caused the other Servants to revert to their Astral form in order to lessen the strain. [[spoiler:A worse case happens when Hyakinthos used a magic item that temporarily prevented him from accessing his magic, drastically weakening and physically hurting the other Servants as a result.]]
* AdaptationalBadass: Due to having his Mind constantly siphoned to keep his Servants active, Bell's magic stat grows exceptionally faster than it does in canon, to the point of maintaining seven Servants by the time he's Level 3. His raw strength and skill is also greater thanks to his brutal spars with Saber and Archer, who manage to beat elements of their incredible swordsmanship into Bell's own style.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: Zigzagged. Since he meets Ais at a later date, their dynamic is slightly altered. He still has Liaris Freese, but he's striving to stand on par with the likes of Archer and Caster, both of whom were heroes in their world and the former being the one to save him from the Minotaur, rather than trying to stand side-by-side with Ais. That being said, he still [[LoveAtFirstSight falls in love with her]] the moment he lays eyes on her in their first meeting.
* AlbinosAreFreaks: Inverted. Bell's snow-white hair and red eyes remind others of the cute, but dangerous, almiraj (a bipedal rabbit with a horn on its head) monsters that inhabit the middle floors of the dungeon — this adds to his "pure" and "rabbit-like" appearance that others find endearing and cute, while Hestia, who is head over heels for him, considers them part of his "cool looks".
* AnimalMotif: He's often compared to a white rabbit due to his cute appearance, albinism, and LightningBruiser stats.
* AtrociousAlias: "Moonlit Dawn" sounds cool on paper, but its alternate meaning, "Moon-Eyed Rabbit", is considerably less so.
* BadassAdorable: His looks bring to mind a certain killer rabbit in the dungeon, and he's being trained by heroes and legendary figures from myth.
* BerserkButton: He can ignore any insults to himself, but if anyone insults or attacks Hestia or any of his Familia members, he goes into a rage and beats the insulter down.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Despite his initial shock at becoming Jack's "Mommy", he showers her with the affection and love she never had in life and thanks her for having existed.
--> '''Bell:''' (''about Jack'') [She is] Someone who I am thankful is here and worthy of love, no matter what anyone else says.
* BlackSwordsAreBetter: The Hestia Knife is a black dagger linked to Bell's falna. Its power will grow along with him. Once he reaches the pinnacle of adventurers, the dagger will reach the pinnacle of weapons.
* BornLucky:
** He's an incredibly fortunate kid, between stumbling upon a Holy Grail in the dungeon, summoning some seriously powerful Servants, getting an incredibly powerful knife courtesy of Hephaistos. He also won the SuperpowerLottery with Liaris Freese and Argonaut and is rising through the ranks faster than any adventurer in history thanks to them. This is reflected in his acquisition of the "Luck" skill, which increases his already great luck.
** He later abuses this when he visits Orario's largest casino. After Syr and Ryuu get caught in a fight over the women enslaved by Terry Cervantes, Bell decides to draw the Ganesha Familia's attention away by constantly winning via single bets on roulette. He amasses an utterly enormous amount of chips that he spills to get the panicking casino goers to pounce on his stash, drawing security away from the fighting. Even after much of it is stripped away by the rabid gamblers, he still walks off with millions upon millions in Valis.
* BrokeTheRatingScale: Liaris Freese lets his stats shoot up beyond the previous limit of S to SS and SSS, making him way more powerful than an adventurer his level ought to be.
* CassandraTruth: Upon reaching Level 3, Hestia advises Bell that he not reveal his Level up, one being that no one would believe that the current record holder for the fastest transition between Levels 1 and 2 leveled up again in such a short amount of time and another more complicated reason.[[labelnote:Explanation]]Years prior, several Familias accused the Ishtar Familia of faking their levels and abilities, which led to the Guild making their Levels and status public. In turn, the accusing Familias were forced to pay for the repercussions of said reveal, which later left them financially weakened and vulnerable to the other Familias.[[/labelnote]]
* ChargedAttack: Argonaut is a "hero's strike" that boosts his next attack to obscene levels, potentially obliterating enemies one or two levels above his weight class. The main downside is that it takes a while to get to that point and he can't move during this time or else he'll lose the charge.
* ClassicalAntiHero: He starts out as a weak, cowardly, perverted, inexperienced, and easily startled young man. But his accomplishments, rapid growth, and training with his own Servants gradually help him grow out of this, giving him much needed confidence and realigning his priorities towards becoming a hero rather than a HaremSeeker.
* CluelessChickMagnet: Although he has abandoned his original dream of being a HaremSeeker, Bell has garnered numerous admirers for his kindness and innocence, including Hestia, Syr, Lily, Emma, Freya, and Ryuu. He's, of course, oblivious to all of this.
* CooldownHug: After experiencing [[DreamingOfTimesGoneBy a dream cycle showing Jack's past]] and seeing the girl himself, he hugs the girl and thanks her for being born. [[spoiler:He gives her another one to stop her bloody rampage against the Apollo Familia.]]
* DisguisedInDrag: Bell is forced to do this to hide from Ishtar Familia in Chapter 57.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: He does not like sweets.
* DoNotCallMeSir:
** He asks his Servants not to call him Master, but simply Bell. This is both to avoid unnecessary questions about why all of his new familia members are subservient to him and because of his own discomfort at being treated like he's above his Servants.
** This also extends to his treatment of his Servants. Even though he has authority over them through his Command Spells, he tends to treat them as his equals or even his superiors most of the time, looking to Saber and Archer as mentors and Caster as a king.
* DreamingOfTimesGoneBy: He occasionally gets dreams that offer him a glimpse into the lives and backstories of the Servants under his command.
* DualWield: He prefers using knives and daggers to swords, carrying the Hestia Knife and Ushiwakamaru along with its twin, Ushiwakamaru Type 2.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: He's a pretty boy otherwise, but if you [[DraggedIntoDrag put him in drag]], he makes a ''very'' convincing woman, much to Bell's dismay.
* EmotionalPowers: Liaris Freese's power is proportional to his feelings of wanting to catch up to a person, which is Archer in this case.
* EtTuBrute: PlayedForLaughs. When Mord and Welf start pressing Bell on the kind of girl he likes, he looks to Emma for support, only for Emma to say that she's curious too.
--> ''Et tu, Emma!?''
* FamedInStory: He quickly becomes famous (or in some cases infamous) in Orario after leveling up due to his ridiculous growth rate, with random passerby recognizing him as Moonlit Dawn on sight.
* GodWasMyCopilot: As far as Bell knows, his grandfather was just an old man who told him the story of heroes and installed the idea of rescuing girls in the dungeon and getting a harem into his head. [[spoiler:He has no idea that his grandfather is Zeus, one of the most powerful gods whose Familia in Orario was hailed as being the strongest before they were all killed by the One-Eyed Black Dragon]].
* GrandTheftMe: Gets his body hijacked by [[spoiler:Argonaut, whom he inadvertently summoned while holding the Holy Grail, making Bell a Pseudo Servant]]. But [[spoiler:Argonaut]] has since gone dormant and refuses to do any of the fighting for Bell as his own story has long since ended.
* FarmBoy: He calls himself an "ordinary farm boy" when Gina mistakes him for some kind of noble after watching the Servants call him "Master".
* FragileSpeedster: He prefers light armor that doesn't impede his agility versus the heavy armor worn by Saber. As a result, he's much better at dodging hits than taking them, though he's still much tougher than he ought to be thanks to Liaris Freese. On the other hand, compared to nearly any other adventurer at his level, he's a LightningBruiser MasterOfAll.
* HaremSeeker: His grandpa planted the idea of seeking a RescueRomance in his head, which serves as Bell's original reason to become an adventurer.
* TheHero: Although he's surrounded by heroes from across history, time and space, the focus of the story is squarely on his own growth into a budding hero in his own right.
* HeroesPreferSwords: Downplayed. He carries around a sword if he needs the reach or leverage, but still prefers to use his daggers.
* HeroWorshipper: Considering that he had been raised on the stories of heroes, getting to fight alongside them is like a dream come true for him. He especially holds Archer in high regard, as it was him who saved him from the Minotaur and not Ais.
* HumbleHero: He's the epitome of humility to the point of being self-deprecating and is always aware of how far he needs to go to catch up to his Servants.
* ImagineSpot: Bell sometimes imagines himself as a great warrior leading his Servants into battle like the hero from a story. He's especially excited when he gets to try on the replica of the legendary hero's armor on Grand Day Eve, giggling to himself until Eina snaps him out of his thoughts.
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: Freya describes his soul as being purer than pure, to the point of being nearly completely transparent to her AuraVision. This is what makes him irresistible to her.
* InSpiteOfANail: Even though Bell is saved and inspired by Archer and only meets Ais much later on, he still ends up [[LoveAtFirstSight falling head over heels for her.]]
* KidHero: He's only fourteen at the start of the story and a budding hero in the making.
* KidWithTheRemoteControl: He's the anchor through which all of his Servants are bound to the world. As a result, he has direct command over all of them save Caster (who he defers to due to his greater experience as a leader). It also means that protecting him is his Servants' utmost priority, as they will fade away if he's ever killed.
* LadyLooksLikeADude: Parodied. Due to Jack's insistence on calling Bell "Mommy", Ais is led to the conclusion that she had mistaken Bell for a boy. Bell, who wants to be seen as a manly hero, is mortified and sobs while the others laugh at him for it.
* LetsGetDangerous: In Chapter 60, Caster tells Bell that [[spoiler:going after the Ishtar Familia to save Haruhime will have consequences, as Orario and the Guild rake in money from the red light district. If it's destroyed in the midst of the Hestia Familia's battle with Ishtar's forces, it will be their Familia that will suffer]]. After spending the remainder of the chapter in a funk, Bell decides the risks are worth it and demonstrates his resolve to Caster by [[spoiler:not only summoning all the other six Servants to his side, but also by [[GodzillaThreshold using a Command Seal]], giving them the order to wipe out the Ishtar Familia]].
* LightningBruiser: His accelerated growth lets his stats rocket far past what they normally would be able to, making him far stronger, faster, and tougher than any adventurer his level ought to be.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop:
** Bell is completely unaware of the reason for his rapid stat growth because Hestia purposefully keeps him in the dark about it out of fear that he'll spill the beans because of how honest he is. If he did know about it and told others, he'd almost certainly be the most sought after adventurer in Orario.
** Alongside Hestia and most of the mortal members of the familia, Bell does not know that Caster is the golden-haired boy who attacked the Freya and Ishtar Familias.
* LoveAtFirstSight: Unlike in the novels, where Bell developed both admiration and affection for Ais when she saved him from being killed by a Minotaur, Bell is immediately head over heels for her the moment he lays eyes on her, to his Servants' amusement.
* LuckyRabbitsFoot: His rabbit motif coupled with his BornLucky status makes him come across as this.
* MagicKnight: He primarily fights with his knives, but his magic stat is shooting through the roof thanks to the effort required to maintain his Servants' existence. As a result, his Firebolt hits far harder than a spell of its kind ought to. He's also constantly being drilled by Saber and Archer in melee combat, which lets his skill improve in leaps and bounds, and he begins using a sword as an alternative to his knives.
* MagneticHero: His kindness and idealism has earned him the UndyingLoyalty of all of his Servants except for the ever-prideful Caster. The mortal members of the Familia also admire him for the same reasons.
* MetaPowerUp: His unique skill, Liaris Freese, causes his stats to increase at an obscenely fast rate for as long as his feelings and desire for a certain goal persist. In this story, it's powered by his hopes of becoming a hero like his Servants are, particularly one as reliable and powerful as Archer or Caster.
* MistakenForGay: Due to summoning nothing but stunningly handsome men until he summons Jack, Hestia briefly accuses Bell of swinging ''that'' way.
--> '''Hestia:''' You summoned another one!? ''[shakes Bell like a ragdoll]'' I thought I told you that I can't be surrounding myself with men all the time!\
'''Bell:''' I'm sorry! It's not like I can choose who answers!\
'''Hestia:''' That's no excuse! Wait…are you hiding something, Bell? Don't tell me you're actually interested in-\
'''Bell:''' PLEASE DO NOT FINISH THAT SENTENCE, GODDESS!
* MoralityChain: He acts as one for Jack, urging her not to give into her murderous impulses and to save the violence for the monsters.
* MuscleAngst: Bell laments that he's not as tall, muscular, and manly as the likes of Archer, Caster, Saber, or even Welf. That said, [[http://i.imgur.com/MKwj8Ha.jpg he's actually quite toned for a 14-year-old]], and he's young compared to his teammates who have gone through puberty.
* MythologyGag: At some point, Bell envisions Archer standing in front of him with his back turned to him and asking if he can keep up with him. Shirou himself experienced a similar vision in the ''Heaven's Feel'' route of ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight''.
* NumberTwo: Though Bell has seniority, he accepts the position of Vice-Captain in favor of Caster taking the role of Captain, considering the latter was a king in life.
* OhCrap:
** When Bell gets an envelope from Ishtar addressed to Caster, Bell immediately realizes what's about to happen and tries to destroy the letter before Caster finds out. Unfortunately, Caster picks just that moment to appear, demanding the letter before crushing it, only deepening Bell's worries.
** Bell has a more knee-jerking, visceral reaction when he learns from the renard of Soma Familia what a Killing Stone is capable of and realizes why Ishtar has Haruhime in her Familia.
* ParentalSubstitute: Becomes this to Jack as her "mommy", doting on her and trying to teach her right from wrong in place of her actual mother who [[ParentalAbandonment abandoned her to die]].
* PhosphorEssence: The incredible power of his Argonaut skill as well as his pure soul are emphasized by the white glow his body gives off when charging Argonaut.
* PlayingWithFire: Like in the novels, Bell reads a Grimoire that teaches him a magic spell and learns Firebolt. It's worth noting that Firebolt is significantly stronger here since Bell's magic stat is much higher than the other stats thanks to having to train his magic stat to manage his Servants' upkeep.
* PowerGlows: His whole body glows while he's busy charging up Argonaut.
* PowerStrainBlackout: Having all of his Servants in the field takes a toll on him, and using their Noble Phantasms can potentially knock him out from sheer mana drain. So when Archer pulls out Unlimited Blade Works on his expedition with Loki Familia, Bell suddenly falls unconscious without warning. The Servants are mindful to limit themselves after this, lest Bell become helpless at a bad time.
* ProfessionalGambler: While visiting the casino for the first time, Bell finds that his [[BornLucky innate luck]] lets him easily clean house. Even after intentionally losing tens of millions to create a distraction for Syr and Ryuu, he still walks away with a mind-boggling amount of cash that makes Loki do a DoubleTake even after he splits it in half with Lefiya.
* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: After hitting Level 3, his regular punches, kicks, and throws can send people flying across a room.
* RedBaron: "Moonlit Dawn" sounds like quite the badass epithet, but Hestia, who knows the actual meaning of the name, can only cringe and internally wail in despair every time she hears it.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Has red eyes, and he's become a ''very'' competent combatant thanks to his Servants. Subverted otherwise, as he's a sweet and caring person off the battlefield and dreams of being a hero.
* {{Reincarnation}}: Implied to be [[spoiler:the reincarnation of Argonaut himself]].
* SkewedPriorities: Thanks to his [[DirtyOldMan grandpa]], Bell initially became an adventurer in hopes of finding a DamselInDistress and starting a RescueRomance. Being rescued by Archer makes Bell reevaluate his priorities, soon aspiring to become a powerful hero like the man who saved him instead.
* StarstruckSpeechless: Bell is so awestruck by Saber's appearance as an incredibly cool KnightInShiningArmor that he briefly forgets to speak and has to be reminded to finish their contract.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: In Chapter 57, Syr has Bell [[DisguisedInDrag crossdress so as to hide him from the Ishtar Familia]] while they're in the Red Light District. [[spoiler:When Syr finishes his makeover, she's shocked to discover he looks incredibly similar to Alfia and Meteria, his aunt and mother respectively.]]
* SuperpowerLottery: He won it thrice.
** Liaris Freese is a MetaPowerUp that lets him {{Level Grind|ing}} far faster than any other adventurer in addition to letting him break the stat caps to reach rates like SS and SSS.
** Becoming a Master lets him summon heroes from history, myth, and legend to his aid, often with powers and skills that rival Orario's most powerful adventurers.
** Lastly, Argonaut is a ChargedAttack that lets him supercharge his next blow to deal insane amounts of damage, even obliterating floor bosses with it if given the chance.
* ThouShaltNotKill: In Chapter 49, he thinks to himself that even if he were facing a truly evil person like the Xenos traffickers, he cannot bring himself to kill a fellow human.
* TookALevelInBadass: Thanks to the Servants, Bell exceeds his canon counterpart's growth by reaching Level 3, ''three weeks after he had just become Level 2''.
* UnskilledButStrong: Bell's rapid growth means that his stats are far higher than someone of his skill level, but that also means that he is less experienced than other people who can match or surpass his stats.
* YoungerMentorOlderDisciple: Although he's younger than Emma, Bell is far more experienced and powerful than her as a Level 3 Adventurer. He takes up the role of walking her through things at the beginning despite the age gap.

[[caption-width-right:350:Hero of Justice]]

A Servant of the Bow, he was once a naive and optimistic boy who dreamed of becoming a Hero of Justice, which at some point led to him being contracted to Alaya and becoming a Counter Guardian. He is the first Servant to be summoned by Bell.
----
* AmbiguouslyBrown: He's unusually tan for someone from modern day Japan, but this is attributed to his overuse of Projection magecraft.
* BeyondTheImpossible: He managed to (briefly) stand on equal ground and even wound Ottarl, who is ''the'' strongest Adventurer in Orario.
* BigBrotherMentor: The others note that his relationship with Bell is akin to an aloof big brother or a stern dad who's pleased when Bell is showing progress. Archer scoffs at the notion, asking if he looks old enough to be a father.
* TheBlacksmith: Not in the conventional sense, as he merely replicates the weapons he sees and stores their copies inside his Reality Marble. That said, he is hired to take on the role temporarily when Loki Familia requests his assistance when preparing for an expedition.
* BoringButPractical: Although he has more powerful and destructive Noble Phantasms stored in Unlimited Blade Works, Kanshou and Bakuya are Archer's main weapons thanks to their ease of use and low cost making them easily replaceable if damaged. Their ability to gravitate towards each other also allows him to use a variety of tactics, such as throwing a pair of swords behind his opponent before creating a new pair of Kanshou and Bakuya to have them boomerang back.
* BowAndSwordInAccord: He tends to stick to close combat with Kanshou and Bakuya under most circumstances, but when he can't beat someone in a head-on fight, he backs up and begins slinging arrows with his bow. When he gets ''really'' serious, he can start nocking Noble Phantasms as arrows to use as one-shot bombs.
* ChickMagnet: Oh boy, he most definitely is. In fact in the [[ChristmasEpisode Christmas side story]], him wearing glasses causes Emma, Karen, Gina, Lily and Lancer to blush profusely.
* ClarkKenting: When he puts on glasses and mats down his hair, Tiona doesn't recognize him. Funnily enough, Archer wasn't even trying to hide his identity.
* DoNotCallMePaul: {{Downplayed}}. He prefers being called Archer than his actual name, as he feels that Shirou Emiya and himself are two different people.
* DualWielding: He primarily fights with a pair of short swords, Kanshou and Bakuya. While they aren't the most sturdy or powerful weapons in his arsenal, their low cost, ease of use, and magnetism towards each other make them his mainstay Noble Phantasm.
* FieldOfBlades: Unlimited Blade Works, the closest equivalent of a Noble Phantasm for Archer, is his own world, where every weapon he's ever laid eyes on is copied and stored there. He uses it during a battle against a Demi-Spirit, but he nearly burns through Bell's reserves in the process and is perhaps the major reason why the latter reached Level 3 so quickly.
* {{Hunk}}: He's built like a brickhouse beneath his cloak and armor. Combine that with his deep voice and handsome features and it's easy to see why Tiona develops a crush on him.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Appropriate for his class, Archer is an excellent sniper who can launch his arrows like homing missiles from four kilometers away.
* JackOfAllStats: Compared to Bell's other Servants, Archer is not the strongest in any particular field. Caster beats him in long-range bombardment, Saber and Berserker would handily overpower him in a contest of raw strength, and both Jack and Lancer are faster than him. But Archer is still an excellent point man thanks to his keen eyesight, strategic mind, and ability to fit into any role required of him, from frontline fighter to sniper to crowd clearer.
* MasterSwordsman: Although he's not on Saber's level, Archer's swordsmanship is formidable enough to be acknowledged and admired by both King Arthur and Heracles, who are both masters themselves. He takes up the role of Bell's primary combat instructor until Saber is summoned, upon which he defers to the King of Warriors.
* MentalWorld: The core of Archer's abilities is his Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works, which allows him to store any kind of weapon that can be classified as a "sword" or a "blade" inside his inner world. He can then reproduce a nearly perfect copy of it along with all of the experience associated with it.
* NotSoInvincibleAfterAll:
** Despite the Servants' seeming invincibility, Archer is badly injured protecting Loki Familia from a Demi-Spirit with Rho Aias.
** Archer discusses this with Welf after the War Game. No matter how unbeatable Servants may seem, they can still lose to anyone under the right circumstances. His unusually specific list of scenarios is a MythologyGag to events in the original ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'', which Welf lampshades as being too detailed to be simple hypotheticals.
---> '''Welf:''' Still, I can't imagine any of you guys getting beat when the going gets tough. Spirits are amazing…\
'''Archer:''' We may be but there's no such thing as invincible, Welf. Anyone can be beaten with the right weapon, tactics, or people by your side. Be it a school teacher with proper training and support from a mage, or a person who practiced a powerful martial art while equipped with blessed weapons or Magic Items passed down in their family, or even just some punk kid who got lucky. A Servant can be taken down as easily as any monster from the Dungeon.
* ObliviousToLove: Archer doesn't seem to realize that Tiona has feelings for him. Not the first time he fails to realize a woman has romantic feelings for him, though.
* PowerCopying:
** He can replicate nearly any weapon he lays eyes on along with all the experience held by the wielder, allowing him to replicate another person's fighting style so long as he has their weapon in hand.
** Archer notes that casually breaking weapons forged by a smith's blood, sweat, and tears is disrespectful to the craftsman, and will generally only copy it with the owner's permission out of respect for them, hence why he doesn't copy Welf's work willy-nilly. That said, in Caster's case, he'll just copy them regardless out of spite.
* RealMenCook: In addition to being a formidable warrior, Archer is talented at housework, particularly cooking, doing most of the cookery for the Hestia familia.
* RedIsHeroic: Wears a red coat, and unlike in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' where he was a KnightInSourArmor because of his circumstances, Archer is much more heroic here.
* SpontaneousWeaponCreation: His core ability is to create near-perfect copies of any weapon he lays eyes on, including incredibly powerful and expensive items like Tiona's Urga and Ottarl's greatsword. His trump card, Unlimited Blade Works, has him layer his MentalWorld on top of reality to unleash a StormOfBlades with Noble Phantasms as the ammo.
* SternTeacher: He, Caster, and Saber are hard on Bell and force him to be diligent in his training while kicking the crap out of him in their sparring sessions. Despite this, they all genuinely care for him and are pleased when he grows in leaps and bounds.
* SupremeChef: He is regarded as the Hestia Familia's best cook, though he notes that Rider might surpass him if given enough time to practice. He and Rider even decide to troll the Apollo Familia during their War Game by broadcasting themselves cooking delicious sweets while their opponents subsist off rations.
* SureLetsGoWithThat: Gareth surmises that Archer is still Level 1 despite his skill and strength because of his access to an armory of powerful magical weapons that trivialize most of his fights, preventing him from earning the Excelia needed to increase his Falna stats. Archer has no reason to refute the theory and simply rolls with it.
* TaughtByExperience: Given how he originally died, he warns Bell that people tend be suspicious of altruistic offers. Sure enough, when Bell makes one to the Xenos, they are suspicious, with Bell sadly noting that Archer was right.
* ThisIsADrill: Caladbolg II is a sword shaped like a drill that was originally used to devastate entire battlefields. Archer typically shapes it into an arrow so that its spiraling effect will twist space to rip through defenses before detonating on impact with a massive explosion.
* TookALevelInKindness: Since he's not stuck in a Holy Grail War or an endless cycle of violence as a Counter Guardian, Archer loosens up considerably from his Fate/stay night self and takes up an almost brotherly or even fatherly relationship with Bell. Lily teasingly refers to Archer as "Mama" due to his mother hen tendencies.
* UnwantedHarem: Virtually the entire Kali Familia falls in love with him because of how badly he beat them all. The only ones who aren't are the ones who lust for Saber or members of Loki Familia instead.
* WeakButSkilled:
** Comparatively speaking, his raw firepower pales before Caster, Saber, and Lancer in direct combat. In terms of raw statistics, he's about as strong as an especially powerful Level 4 or a new Level 5. But his skills, tactical acumen, PowerCopying, and CombatPragmatism make him a match for anyone in Orario.
** This is especially noticeable in his spars with Tiona and Ottarl. Both of them can dish out crushing blows that send Archer reeling, leaving him heavily outclassed in raw strength. But he's able to hold his own regardless through a combination of skill and cunning.
* WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: As a human, his only significant talent was his Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works. His current status and power comes from him single-mindedly refining his mastery of it as well as honing his body and skills to match nearly any foe.
* YouHaveGotToBeKiddingMe: EMIYA does this when Bell summons Gilgamesh.
* YouRemindMeOfX: Rider says he reminds her of her husband.

[[caption-width-right:350:King of Uruk]]
The king of Uruk after his adventure for immortality, Caster is considerably more reasonable and wise than his otherwise haughty self. He is the second Servant summoned by Bell and is named the Captain of the Hestia Familia.
----
* TheAce: He's the strongest Servant in the entire Familia, and as such, he's given the position of Captain despite the fact that Bell has been a member for much longer.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Zigzagged. Caster is still haughty and otherwise proud, but this incarnation of him is arguably at him at his nicest compared to the tyrannical King of Heroes.
* AlmightyJanitor: {{Downplayed}}. He's one of the most powerful Heroic Spirits on the Throne and is the Captain of the Hestia Familia, but his existence as a Servant means he is bound to Bell, who has seniority over him in the Familia but the latter serves as Vice-Captain.
* AngerBornOfWorry: When some orphans he befriended eagerly explain that they spied on some Evilus members and learned where their hideout is, he yells at them because they could have gotten themselves killed if they had been spotted.
* ArmorPiercingQuestion: Makes it a point to question Bell if [[spoiler:saving Haruhime]] is worth [[spoiler:dragging the Hestia Familia down with him since Orario will potentially come after them if the red light district is destroyed]].
* AwesomeButImpractical: If he wants, he can equip himself with the golden armor his Archer counterpart wears. He sheepishly admits to Gareth that while it looks cool, it is very heavy.
* BerserkButton: To say that Caster despises Ishtar would be a '''massive''' {{Understatement}}, something the Familia is aware of and actively tries not to mention the goddess in any capacity. The second he sees the Ishtar Familia, even in his child form, he becomes absolutely ''livid'' and nearly slaughters them all, regardless of the fact that the Hestia Familia and others are caught in the crossfire. Later on, Bell gets an invitation from the Ishtar Familia addressed to Caster, who instantly knows it's from Ishtar based on the way it ''smells.'' [[spoiler:And when he sees the Goddess herself lost in the Labyrinth, he responds by busting out [[ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill Ea]].]]
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Although he has [[PetTheDog shown some care for Bell, Lili, and the orphans]], he is primarily driven to find things that can entertain him. [[spoiler:This is best demonstrated when he plans on letting Ishtar sacrifice Haruhime just to steal the killing stone afterwards.]]
* BystanderSyndrome: States repeatedly that he doesn't give a crap what happens to Sanjouno Haruhime. He refuses to help people who do not try to help themselves or even try to ask for help. He also will not lift a finger to help the Xenos.
* TheChessmaster: He uses his wealth to set up a network of spies and informants across Orario and takes that information to plan against and manipulate everyone who might be a threat to the Hestia Familia.
* ConspicuousConsumption: His boundless wealth allows him to get his familia absurdly luxurious items for otherwise menial tasks, such as getting Undine Cloth to turn into raincoats and swimsuits. When Bell and Emma accompany Hestia to the Banquet of the Gods, he has them outfitted in luxurious GorgeousPeriodDress to flaunt the familia's resources and power.
* CurbStompBattle: Virtually any fight he gets involved in will inevitably end like this. This is why he tends to sit back and watch the others fight, since it would be boring to get involved himself.
* DeathGlare: The glare he gives the letter Bell received from Ishtar is so venomous that Bell fears that the letter, and his arm along with it, would spontaneously combust.
* Fiction500: His treasury possesses all the wealth accumulated by mankind across all of history, giving him a practically infinite amount of cash. When he can't translate his currency directly, just one of his treasures can sell for the hundreds of millions of valis at the very least.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Archer points out that while the other Servants respect Caster, few, if any, of them actually ''like'' him as a person because of his ego and tendency to be a {{Jerkass}} who isn't forthcoming with his thoughts. Both Bell and Lily treat him with a mix of reverence and fear, while Rider is openly snarky towards him while prodding at his flaws.
* FriendToAllChildren: Caster is particularly kind to children, which is why he befriends the orphans of Daedalus street while as Kid Gil.
* FutureMeScaresMe: Subverted. "Gil" thinks his older self is an asshole and flat out tells Archer as much.
* GoldColoredSuperiority: Come on. It's ''Gilgamesh''. Were you expecting anything less?
* HyperspaceArsenal: His Gate of Babylon, which houses every single worthwhile treasure and countless Noble Phantasms, many of which even belong to other Heroic Spirits. He also uses it for more mundane prospects like stashing away bottles of cheap wine and other miscellaneous items.
* HypocriticalHumor: Caster makes fun of Gina, Primo, and Jack for not being able to stand coffee without milk and sugar. Then he tries the coffee and quickly adds milk and sugar.
* ItAmusedMe: This is usually his response for doing something others find suspicious.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Gilgamesh primarily does whatever amuses or pleases him the most.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Crossing over with {{Tsundere}}. He may act abrasive, but this is Gilgamesh after he returned from his search for immortality. The best example is when he helps Lily, where after learning she was a thief he chose to instead help her free herself from the Soma Familia's cruelty.
* LongRangeFighter: He rarely has to enter melee combat because of the sheer firepower packed in the Gate of Babylon. Virtually nothing on the upper floors can withstand a few seconds of the magic staves within it.
* ManipulativeBastard: Although he almost always means well, he isn't above manipulating others, including his own familia and Master, to get an outcome he wants. During the War Game, he tells Bell that he'll slaughter the Apollo Familia if Bell doesn't finish the fight in three days. [[spoiler:After seeing Bell's concern about whether or not he's doing the right thing, Caster forces his hand further by neglecting to mention an oncoming monster attack that grievously injures Gina, forcing Bell to end the War Game with a single decisive assault.]]
* MercyKill:
** Caster justifies his near-execution of Haruhime as this, as he notices the girl's plight.
** He later offers to do this to Filvis while as Kid Gil, though this time Lefiya stops him.
* MoralityChain: Literal chain in this case, as Enkidu summons itself to restrain Caster before he can [[spoiler:unleash Ea at Ishtar and destroy Orario in the process]].
* MundaneUtility: Sha Naqba Imuru is great for both strategy and cheating at card games. He supplements his income by fleecing casinos with it.
* NayTheist: Although he's two-thirds god thanks to his parentage, he hates the gods for their role in shackling humanity. He's especially displeased with the state of Orario, as mortals are utterly reliant on the gods' blessing to survive in the Dungeon, though he finds some amusement at how pathetic the gods can be in this world.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: [[spoiler:His unleashing of Enuma Elish and blasting a hole several floors through the Dungeon causes it to retaliate by spawning Juggernauts. [[FromBadToWorse And not just one, either...]]]]
* OlderAlterEgo: Inverted. When attacking the Ishtar Familia and Freya Familia, Caster uses his Youth potion to transform himself into "Gil", so he won't arouse any suspicion. As a result, when word does reach the ears of the Familias, all they know is that their attacker is a golden-haired child.
* OlderAndWiser: This is Gilgamesh after his adventures to seek out immortality, where he returned to Uruk and ruled as a more benevolent and wise king. While he still acts abrasive, he's a little bit nicer than his more arrogant and cruel Archer counterpart.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness:
** Though he is significantly nicer than his Archer counterpart from ''stay night'', Caster typically treats everyone as he would anybody else that isn't Enkidu. His aloof behavior is almost entirely subdued when he meets the Goddess Ninsun and the Captain of her Familia Lugal Banda. If you're familiar with Caster's history, then it becomes obvious why he acts the way he does around them.
** When presented with something relating to his BerserkButton, Gilgamesh's usual haughty and aloof behavior goes flying out the window in favor of white-hot ''rage.'' Case in point during the Hestia Familia's vacation; although the Goddess wasn't present, just being in the presence of Ishtar's Familia was enough to set Gilgamesh off. It's also worth noting this happened while he was in his ''child form'', showing Gil despises Ishtar as much as his adult self.
** When Bell [[spoiler:uses his Command Seal to order his Servants to destroy the Ishtar Familia despite knowing the risks such an action may cause]], Caster reacts solemnly and quietly says, "Very well then" instead of his usual behavior.
* PapaWolf: Caster, of all people, has fondness for those that serves under him. Mess with them and he'll send the Gates of Babylon onto you.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: He has done this most frequently: to the Soma Familia, Ishtar Familia and to a lesser one, Freya Familia.
* PetTheDog:
** Despite Lily being not really his problem, Caster went out of his way in helping her out of her problems with the Soma Familia, even maiming or killing some of the members, and later taking her under his wing.
** It's heavily implied that he sent Hermes to be possibly killed by Ishtar as retribution for what he did to Gina.
* ProfessionalGambler: He fleeces casinos dry for cash thanks to his ability to see the future with his Noble Phantasm, Sha Naqba Imuru. Since he knows exactly what he needs to do to win and what moves will lose him money, it's virtually impossible for him to walk away with anything but a massive profit. He's amused when Bell abuses his Luck skill to similar effect.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: His divine heritage is reflected by his brilliant red eyes. He's also the most volatile of Bell's Servants and the most willing to use lethal force against mortals.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: He's the King of Heroes and was the God-King of Uruk in his past life. Manipulative as he may be, he also does everything he can to lead the familia to greatness and crush anything that might spoil his new kingdom.
* ShutUpHannibal: When a member of Evilus tries to point out that Caster [[NotSoDifferentRemark hates gods as much as Evilus does]], Caster has none of it and responds with an axe to the face.
--> "Do not assume to know me."
* SmugSuper: Gilgamesh as usual but since he's his OlderAndWiser [[Characters/FateGrandOrderCastersGToM Caster incarnation]], it doesn't show up as much.
* StealthMentor: Caster does this to Lily. He tricks her into believing that she's drinking his personal wine (in truth, that's just some random wine) so that she can gain confidence to resist the effects of the Soma wine.
* SternTeacher: He, Archer, and Saber are hard on Bell and force him to be diligent in his training while kicking the crap out of him in their sparring sessions. Despite this, they all genuinely care for him and are pleased when he grows in leaps and bounds.
* StormOfBlades: After reverting himself to his child form, Caster indulges in this to rain hell upon the Ishtar Familia.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill:
** He specializes in bombarding the battlefield with ludicrous amounts of magical weaponry thanks to his nigh-infinite supply of Noble Phantasms, leaving the battlefield in cinders by the time he's done.
** After the War Game, Welf notes that Caster "blew up like half the world" to wipe out a monster nest when [[spoiler:Gina is grievously hurt by Violas]].
** His Noble Phantasm, Enuma Elish, which has enough power to wipe out not just the Dungeon but all of Orario and its surroundings. [[spoiler:He unleashes it upon sensing Ishtar in the Crete Labyrinth, and the only thing that keeps him from obliterating her (and taking all of Orario with her) is Enkidu binding him, so he settles for blasting a hole through several floors in the Dungeon.]]
* ThisIsSomethingHesGotToDoHimself: Caster's general opinion on things is that there's no value in solving all of Bell's problems on his own. Because of this, Caster will rarely step foot on the battlefield himself, reasoning that if Bell can't get himself out of his own predicaments, then he isn't worth his time.
* {{Tsundere}}: Is almost called as one by Hestia, which almost earns her a sword to her head.
* UnskilledButStrong: Unlike Bell's other Servants, who are all masters of their craft, Caster isn't a proper mage. He simply uses the Gate of Babylon to pull out a spellbook or magic wand that can produce the effect he wants. Despite this, he's still the strongest Servant in the familia bar none thanks to his nigh-infinite supply of Noble Phantasms.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: His outfit leaves him constantly shirtless, something the narration even lampshades.
* WorldsStrongestMan: He has a reputation as the most powerful Servant summonable due to his infinite treasury of Noble Phantasms. While his selection is restricted due to his class, it's still more than enough to take on virtually every other Servant in the Familia all at once.

A member of the Soma Familia who had been run ragged by others in order to fuel their addiction caused by the Soma wine. Thanks to Caster, she managed to leave and join the Hestia Familia, becoming a loyal follower of the king of Uruk.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: Initially, Lily was a mere supporter who did her best to help Bell in any way she could. Thanks to Caster, she's become a better fighter and even manages to develop a skill.
* DefectorFromDecadence: She leaves the Soma Familia after successfully resisting the addictive effects of Soma's wine.
* EasilyForgiven:
** Zigzagged. To some level, Lily does still have some respect for her former god and even learns that he's started to become better as of late, but considering the hell she went through while a member of the Soma Familia, she prefers to not have anything to do with him.
** Bell also holds no ill will against her for trying to steal the Hestia Knife.
* HeelFaceTurn: She was a thieving con who cheated adventurers of their earnings in order to get by until she met Bell and the Hestia Familia, who offered the chance to turn her life around.
* {{Hobbits}}: She's a pallum, making her the rough equivalent of this trope as a tiny, sharp-witted girl.
* HugeGuyTinyGirl: Being a pallum, she's shorter than pretty much everyone in the Hestia Familia, including Primo and Bell, who are younger than her. This is especially noticeable next to Bell's male Servants, who all tower over her.
* HumanPackMule: Fulfills this role as a Supporter.
* InvisibleToNormals: Gilgamesh gives Lily a ring that makes her invisible to people who don't have magic.
* MercyKill: She asks Archer to kill her if she were to succumb to the effects of the Soma wine, as she thinks of being addicted to it as a FateWorseThanDeath. Thankfully, he doesn't have to follow through with her request as she resists it.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Her "Artel Assist" skill offsets most of the weight she carries in her bag, letting her pack incredible amounts of supplies and items while venturing in the Dungeon, which leads to more profit in the long-term.
* ParentalAbandonment: Her parents were killed while trying to make a living in the dungeon.
* SecretKeeper: As of Chapter 35, Lily is the only non-Servant Familia member to know [[spoiler:that "Gil", the golden-haired boy who attacked the Ishtar and Freya Familias, is Caster]].
* ThirdPersonPerson: She never uses "I", only referring to herself as "Lily".
* UndyingLoyalty: To Caster, after he helped her leave the Soma Familia. This is actually part of the reason for her being an AdaptationalBadass, as her loyalty to him causes her to gain a skill. She also feels this way towards Hestia Familia as a whole for taking her in.
* UtilityPartyMember: She doesn't bring much firepower to the team, but her ability to carry a massive bag full of supplies and drop items makes her essential for maximizing profits from their Dungeon dives.

A legendary hero of the Volsunga Saga and Lancer's husband, he is known as the greatest hero of Northern Europe and wields the Demonic Sword Gram. He is the third summoned Servant, and his skills quickly earn the attention of Ais, who wishes to learn under him.
----
* TheAce:
** He is among the most powerful Saber-class Servants summonable, with almost impeccable stats across the board, the strongest demonic sword that's equal to Excalibur, incredible wisdom, mastery of magic from the Age of Gods, and a dragon's core on top of that, allowing him to operate nearly independently of Bell. He's also a proud, magnanimous KnightInShiningArmor and a fearsome swordsman even greater than Ais.
** On the Grand Day exhibition, he's shown to be the equal of Ottarl, their blows knocking away nearly everyone else as they moved too fast for Bell to see.
* AllEncompassingMantle: Combines this with InTheHood when he crashes the Grand Day Eve festivities to battle Ottarl.
* AnachronismStew: He wears glasses when he removes his mask to get serious, but glasses didn't exist during his time. Instead, they represent the crystallized wisdom he obtained from devouring the heart of a dragon, becoming a humanoid dragon himself. In addition, his armor more closely resembles modern military gear with mecha aspects than the plate mail shown by the Knights of the Round Table like Gawain and Lancelot.
* AwesomenessIsAForce: Unleashing the mana from his dragon's heart alone is enough to send out a shockwave powerful enough to knock everyone but the Level 6s of Loki Familia and Ottarl off their feet. Even then, [[NervesOfSteel Finn]] and Gareth would not dare take one step closer to Saber and Ottarl due to the incredible pressure Saber was giving off.
* BareHandedBladeBlock: When one Apollo Familia member comes at him with a halberd, Saber catches it with one hand and crushes it in its grip before grabbing the shaft to pull them towards him.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Saber is a proud and compassionate knight who would like nothing more than to see the adventurers of Orario surpass him in skill and might. But as the King of Warriors, he's not someone you'd like to cross.
* TheBlacksmith: Although he's best known for his exploits as a knight and an adventurer, Saber was raised by a dwarven smith and personally reforged Gram into the form it currently possesses. He even offers to forge a new suit of armor for Bell after it was shattered by the minotaur, only for Caster to turn him down as equipment forged by a Heroic Spirit would only serve as a crutch for Bell.
* BloodKnight: Although his stoicism doesn't make it obvious, he relishes the chance to battle a WorthyOpponent and is eager to test himself against Orario's best. The idea of fighting Ottarl to test his mettle is so enticing to him that he crashes the Grand Day Eve exhibition in disguise in order to spar with him.
* ChallengeSeeker: He wants to face an opponent who can actually give him trouble. After hearing of Ottarl's strength and prowess, he wants to fight him.
* CombatMedic: He can use runes to stitch up wounds. Though he admits he's not as good as Lancer, he is able to heal Ais when she gets injured in their spars.
* CoolMask: Wears a spiffy one that resembles a wolf's snarling mouth.
* CoolSword: Gram, especially in this setting since it's technically a magic weapon. Magic weapons in ''[=DanMachi=]'' are known to shatter after use and cannot be repaired, so Welf is overwhelmed and ecstatic to learn that a weapon like Gram exists and hopes to one day find a way to create something similar. It also helps that Gram is said to equal Excalibur, a literal nuke on a stick.
* HappilyMarried: To Lancer. He's so happily married that he doesn't mind having to fend off her constant attempts on his life, as he sees his survival as an expression of his love for her. According to Freya, their souls shine even more brightly when this happens.
* IAmNotLeftHanded: Saber reveals in his spar with Ais that he, and probably the rest of the Servants, are limiting how much power they can really bring to bear.
* IcyBlueEyes: Matching his glowing sword and country of origin.
* InterplayOfSexAndViolence: Saber and Lancer express their love for each other by fighting: Lancer shows the depths of her obsession with him by trying to kill him, while he proves his love to her by surviving all of her attempts on his life. Her spear also grows bigger and more destructive the more she loves Saber.
* InTheHood: He puts on a cloak to face Ottarl at the Grand Day exhibition. It completely hides his face and form save the black sword he wields to fight him.
* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: Archer points this out to him after he mocks Phryne's ugly appearance.
* KnightInShiningArmor: He's a proud, kind, and generous knight who despises evil.
* LightningBruiser:
** As a frontline combatant, he has no weaknesses, with ridiculous strength, speed, and durability that puts even top-level adventurers to shame. Although Berserker beats him out in raw strength and toughness and Lancer surpasses his speed, he's still the strongest member of the Hestia Familia in single combat and Gram will slice through all but the toughest of enemies.
** Once he starts getting serious, his movements are too fast for Bell to see, the KungFuSonicBoom from his clash with Ottarl shatters the ground and creates ChunkyUpdraft, and the release of his dragon's heart alone is enough to knock aside all but Orario's best.
* MagicKnight: He still has his skill in Primeval Runes on top of being an immensely skilled and strong swordsman.
* MalevolentMaskedMen: He usually goes into battle with his mask on, a horned, demon-like visage that conceals his face. When around friends, he'll take off the upper part to show his facial expressions. But with it on, Ais compares fighting him to battling a statue made of ice or something else utterly inhuman.
* MasterOfAll: He has virtually no weaknesses in combat. He's insanely strong and tough, an even more skilled swordsman than Ais, is lightning fast, and possesses an immensely powerful demonic sword. Range isn't an issue for him either, as he has access to Primeval Rune magic and can simply punch his daggers and sword at his foes should they attempt to retreat.
* MasterSwordsman: Being the "King of Warriors", he most definitely has the skills that put almost all swordsmen from Orario to shame. It's even to the point Ais wants to train under him.
* MundaneUtility: The might his dragon-like body affords him also lets him [[SuperScream shout really loud]]. So when his wife arrives to participate in the biggest beauty contest in Orario, he uses his voice to utterly drown out the competition, all but winning the contest for her.
* NeckLift: Catches a member of the Apollo Familia in one and chokes them until they completely lose consciousness.
* NiceGuy: His stoicism and painful teaching methods aside, Saber prides himself upon being a KnightInShiningArmor who denounces evil. He offers honest encouragement to Bell, is protective of the innocent, and is generally a pleasant person to be around.
* NotSoStoic: His professionalism vanishes around Lancer, as the two of them are embarrassingly lovey-dovey in public and can't help but flirt with each other even as everyone on the street is gawking at them. When Freya convinces Lancer to enter a beauty contest to determine the most beautiful mortal woman in Orario, Saber [[SuperScream literally knocks everyone nearby down]] with his cheers of encouragement for his wife, winning her the contest.
* OneManArmy: The members of the Apollo Familia charge at him en masse to try and overwhelm him during the War Game. Saber responds by shattering all of their equipment with a single swipe before knocking them out cold.
* PowerGlows: Gram glows either a threatening red or a more serene blue-green depending on how serious he is. Most of the time, it's red. It's when it's green that enemies should take warning.
* ThePowerOfLove: Saber boasts about his love for Lancer; that it gives him the drive to go on. However since he says this during a battle, most of the combatants stop fighting and just stares at him like some weirdo.
* RedBaron: Sigurd was known as the King of Warriors for his peerless abilities as a knight when he was alive.
* ReforgedBlade: Gram is this, as it was broken by Odin's Gungnir before it was bequeathed to Saber. He then used the smithing skills to reforge it into its current state. Caster is appalled by its current appearance, as he owns the original form of Gram, an otherwise bland and undecorated longsword not unlike Caliburn or Excalibur.
* RescueRomance: Saber married Lancer after rescuing her from a ring of fire. When he learns that Bell also wanted one of his own, Saber is amused and encourages him to get together with Lily.
* ShipperOnDeck: After learning about Bell's original plans as a HaremSeeker in search of a RescueRomance, Saber not-so-subtly brings up the notion of Bell marrying Lily, as she's already head-over-heels for him and he'd already rescued her. Once Bell's ChickMagnet status comes to light, Saber continues to tease Bell by bringing up his old wishes for a harem in an attempt to further dissuade him from pursuing multiple lovers. He later decides to be a wingman to Syr Flova in her attempts to win Bell over.
* SickeninglySweethearts: With Lancer, to the point where they lovingly show their affection even in the middle of public and in battle. One of their displays ends up earning the ire of a group of gods while the Hestia Familia is out on vacation, with one begging Hestia for them to punch Saber.
* SinkOrSwimMentor: When sparring with Ais to help her improve, Saber realizes that she's unconsciously holding back because of how strong she is compared to the vast majority of Adventurers. He remedies this by unleashing the aura of the dragon whose heart he devoured, putting out a BattleAura so intense that Ais cannot see him as anything but a monster. Saber then challenges her to match the light of Gram, otherwise she would die.
* SternTeacher: He, Caster, and Archer are hard on Bell and force him to be diligent in his training while kicking the crap out of him in their sparring sessions. Despite this, they all genuinely care for him and are pleased when he grows in leaps and bounds. Seeing him demolish the competition at a War Game also makes it obvious who's been teaching Bell.
* TheStoic: Saber is always calm and professional, never losing his cool and always keeping a handle on the situation. But all of this goes flying out the window when he's around Lancer, as the two of them flirt with one another as a pair of SickeninglySweethearts.
* SuperScream: As part of his dragon-like body, Sigurd is able to project his voice loud enough to knock away everyone near him while cheering his wife on at Orario's largest beauty contest. He smugly points out that this makes her the winner by default, as the rules ask for the ''[[LoopholeAbuse loudest]]'' [[LoopholeAbuse cheers]], not the ''most'' cheers.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: Much to the bewilderment of others, Saber fights primarily by ''punching'' his sword and daggers through the air into his targets. Lampshaded by Welf.
--> '''Welf:''' Uh… I probably shouldn't say anything since I'm new and all but…I think throwing them would have the same effect, no?\
'''Saber:''' This way is more efficient. ''[punches another dagger into a monster]''
* WeaponTwirling: He has a habit of flipping his daggers into the air, sending them spinning before punching them into his intended targets.

[[caption-width-right:350:Child Assassin]]

Though she appears to be a child, this girl is in truth an amalgamation of all the children, born and unborn alike, who died during London's industrial era. She is the fourth summoned Servant, and the identity of the serial killer called "Jack the Ripper".
----
* AbsurdlySharpBlade: She fights with the knives hanging from her waist. They can dismember monsters just as easily as they dismember people.
* AgeInappropriateDress: Underneath her cloak she wears a skimpy one-piece unsuitable for a child or a teenager to wear.
* AnthropomorphicPersonification: She is representative of all 80,000 abandoned, aborted, and unwanted children who died in squalor while London was in the midst of its Industrial Revolution.
* BadassAdorable: She looks like a precocious child, and she just so happens to be Jack the Ripper. We recommend not making an enemy out of this kid.
* CheerfulChild: When she's not tearing monsters to bits, she's an exuberant, playful child who loves spending time with her "mommy".
* CuteAndPsycho: She's adorable, cheerful, and a well-meaning child most of the time. But she's also Jack the Ripper and takes sadistic pleasure in tearing things apart if Bell asks her to.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: She is the amalgamation of thousands of vengeful, abandoned children from Victorian England. As a result, when Bell dreams of her past, he watches one of the children that make up her form slowly freeze to death, starving and completely alone while yearning for a mother's warmth.
* EasilyForgiven: No one is particularly torn up when [[spoiler:Jack cuts a bloody swathe through the Apollo Familia, eviscerating at least one person and chopping an arm off another. Even with the knowledge that they only survived because Gina immediately tended to them with potions, Bell doesn't reprimand Jack for this and even backhands Luan away.]]
* FogOfDoom: Her second Noble Phantasm, The Mist: Darkened Misty Metropolis, represents the poisonous smog of Industrial Britain. Upon activation, she summons a lantern that fills the area around her with opaque, acidic fog that burns anyone within it, making it deadly to humans and monsters. She can also manipulate it to keep it away from her allies, allowing her to fight without worrying about harming Bell or her other mortal familia members in the process.
* GenderBlenderName: Jack is typically a nickname for "John", but it's also conveniently a shortened form of "Jackie" or "Jacqueline", making it suitable for her.
* HumansAreBastards: Because of how she was treated in her old life, she believes that humanity is basically selfish and cruel. It's that bad to the point she cannot understand why the Xenos would ever want to leave the Dungeon, since, from her point of view, the Dungeon is their home. The only reason she's tolerant about the situation is because of her love for her Familia, most importantly Bell.
* ItsPersonal: Her loving relationship with Bell is underscored by her vicious response to slights against him. After watching Luan insult Bell at the bar, Bell has to remind her not to start an incident. [[spoiler:When she encounters Luan again in the middle of a War Game without Bell around, she immediately forgets her orders not to fight and cuts a bloody swathe through the Apollo Familia to get to Luan.]]
* KidsAreCruel: After hearing Haruhime's story and how she feels like she doesn't deserve to be saved, Jack simply asks:
--> "If you don't like living here and don't want to get away from it…why not just disappear? If living is painful then you should just disappear right? Disappear and never bother anyone else. That's what the bad mommies always told Us. [...] Living is painful but you don't want to die? Isn't that weird? Won't it be easier? If you don't want to try and be happy, then why live?"
* LaserGuidedKarma: Given that Luan caused the whole War Game by CryingWolf, the Hestia Familia isn't especially concerned when [[spoiler:Jack terrorizes him and the rest of the Apollo Familia. Bell even backhands a sniveling and immobilized Luan away rather than tending to him]].
* NeverLearnedToRead: Given her origins, she never learned how to read and write, so the others have to sign her name on documents and read to her.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Despite her size and demeanor, Jack is physically ''older'' than both Bell and Lily, as Saber tries to point out when Jack comments on Lily's size.
* ParentalAbandonment: She and the thousands of other children she represents were all abandoned by their mothers for one reason or another. As a result, she latches onto whoever summons her as her "Mommy" and is terrified of being hated by her. [[spoiler:The thought of Bell hating her and leaving her brings her to tears not long after she sadistically tortures Luan and every other member of the Apollo Familia in her path. Luckily for her, [[AllLovingHero Bell]] could never hate her and whisks her away from the fight rather than scolding her.]]
* PronounTrouble: Due to being both a single individual and the amalgamation of 80,000 unwanted children, she sometimes uses "I" but more frequently uses "We" when referring to herself.
* {{Sadist}}: She's cheerfully exuberant about cutting up monsters for her mommy and has no qualms about doing it to people if Bell would allow her. [[spoiler:After confronting Luan, the pallum who heaped insults on Bell, she slowly tails him while savoring the terror on his face before throwing a dagger in his leg and getting ready to finish the job.]]
* SerialKiller: She, or rather the wraiths that make up her form, butchered several woman in London in an attempt to find her mother and return to the womb.
* SituationalSword: Her Noble Phantasm, Maria the Ripper: The Holy Mother of Dismemberment requires several conditions to be used at full strength: First it must be night, second it must be foggy, and third the victim must be a woman. Should all of them be fulfilled, she can effectively teleport her knives inside her opponent to eviscerate them from the inside out. It doesn't see much use against the genderless monsters though.
* TheSneakyGuy: She has Presence Concealment A+, meaning that she's virtually impossible to detect until the moment she makes her attack. As a result, she's effectively invisible to most unless she wants to be. Even the gods can't follow her through a Divine Mirror.
* SuperSpeed: She has the highest possible Agility rank in her Servant stat sheet at A+ and Bell notes that anyone she's after would be hard-pressed to lose her. If she's ever lagging behind, that means she's playing around.
* TearsOfJoy: When Bell hugs her and tells her that he's happy that she was born, Jack cries followed by a blissful smile.
* ThrowingYourSwordAlwaysWorks: She can throw her knives and cleavers as easily as she dismembers her foes with them.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Lampshaded by Welf when he sees her in action. She may look like a child, but she's quite happy to take her knife to anything she thinks is worth killing. Then again, she ''is'' Jack the Ripper. [[spoiler:This comes to a head when Jack seriously asks Gina if [[KillTheGod she would be happier with Hermes dead]]. Gina is horrified and instantly refuses.]]
* UnstoppableRage: She falls into this when [[spoiler:she encounters Luan, the pallum who antagonized Bell and tried to hurt him in a bar fight, in the middle of a War Game]]. Without Bell to keep her in check, [[spoiler:she forgets her instructions to remain hidden and not to fight in order to chase and slowly torture Luan to death, dismembering and eviscerating anyone who got her in her way]]. Only a CooldownHug from Bell is enough to stop her.

----
* AllYourPowersCombined: She has the potential to do this with her skill.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: After the events of the War Game, Emma [[spoiler:is finally reunited with her sister. The problem? Said sister is part of Aeshma Familia, whose god has expressed an interest in her]].
* IWillFindYou: Her goal for becoming an Adventurer and joining the Hestia Familia is to find her sister, believing that raising her reputation and fame will make it easier for her to find Sophia.
* LongLostRelative: Emma's reason for joining the Hestia Familia is that she hopes that by building her own fame, her missing sister would notice this and find her. [[spoiler:Her efforts bear fruit, but unfortunately for Emma, it's a bittersweet reunion.]]
* NoSenseOfDirection: She is noted to have a habit of getting lost which is why Bell and the more experienced members have to watch over her whenever they went to the Dungeon together.
* PowerParasite: Her Skill, Rein Amur, allows her to do this. She can take the Parameters and Skills of other Adventurers within her Familia and add them to her own. However, since she's just a rookie, she cannot handle that kind of power just yet. This also exhausts both Emma and the target of her skill, which can be dangerous if she isn’t careful. She also has a Curse which temporarily sacrifices her parameters to temporarily drain the same amount from her target.

----
* ACupAngst: Upon seeing Rider's large chest, Primo is in complete dismay.
--> “Lady Hestia…” Primo began as she placed her hands over her chest. “I want to hurry and grow up…”
* ChildMage: As a young elf, Primo is lacking in the physical department. She makes up for it with her powerful elven magic to lay waste to scores of enemies with a single attack.
* HarmfulToMinors: As enthusiastic as she is to become an adventurer, her age is clear when she's thoroughly disturbed by some of the things she encounters in Orario. [[spoiler:She bursts into inconsolable tears when Gina is viciously mauled by violas.]]
* HeroWorshipper: Primo looks up to Riveria of Loki Familia. She also admires Lefiya.
* KidHero: She's just ten years old.
* LongLived: As an elf, she has a longer lifespan than humans. Caster brings this up as the reason why he picked her as his eventual successor as Captain of the Hestia Familia. Bell ''will'' eventually die, in battle or of old age, and when he dies, all the Servants will go with him, so Primo, who can live much longer than humans, is the best candidate for the next Captain. [[spoiler:Chapter 41 implies that Primo will eventually become the Familia captain in the future.]]
* LoonyFan: Subverted. While she indeed admires Riveria, Primo does not want to join Loki Familia because it would feel like she is stalking her idol.
* MeteorSummoningAttack: Primo gets a spell called Stardust Fall that allows her to summon a large boulder the size of a house that she can drop onto her target.
* TookALevelInBadass: Besides the growth she's getting in the story, Chapter 41 implies [[spoiler:she will eventually achieve her dream of becoming a powerful mage and also take up the captaincy of Hestia Familia after Bell's passing]].

* BrokenPedestal: She was once a member of the Hermes Familia but after losing her friends in an unsanctioned quest without even being told the reason for, she leaves and converts to the Hestia Familia. She even slaps Hermes when they meet again.
** However, [[EveryoneHasStandards Gina]] draws the line when Jack asks if she wants the god dead.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: She refuses to eat squid, prawns, and anything else that has more than four legs.
* OhCrap: Upon discovering that her partner for training is Jack.
* ShockAndAwe: In addition to giving herself a StatusBuff, Gina's magic also gives her a protective shield made of lightning.

[[caption-width-right:350:Goddess of War]]

The daughter of Odin, also known as the Goddess of War and one of the shieldmaiden Valkyries, she is Saber's wife. She is the fifth summoned Servant, and is a key part of the Hestia Familia's plan to have Fia remain in Orario thanks to her knowledge of runic magic.
----
* {{BFS}}: Brynhildr wields a spear with a heart-shaped head that is longer than she is tall. Upon revealing its true name, Brynhildr Romantia, it grows in length and size proportional to how in love she is with her foe.
* CombatMedic: She can act as this in a pinch, using her runes to stitch up wounds and stabilize someone before they bleed out. [[spoiler:She has to act quickly to save Gina and her arm after she was mauled by violas.]]
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The second she's summoned by Bell, she ''throws her spear at Saber''. At first, the Hestia Familia thinks she has a hostile relationship with Saber, only for Saber to then tell them that her attempts to kill him are how she expresses her feelings of love towards him, and his attempts to survive said attempts are how he reciprocates those feelings.
* FemaleGaze: While on vacation, Loki ogles Lancer not so subtly, prompting Hestia to tell her to keep her eyes off the married woman. She's hardly the only one, though, as Lancer is unanimously agreed to be one of the [[WorldsMostBeautifulWoman most beautiful women in Orario]].
* HappilyMarried: To Saber.
* HeadTurningBeauty: Her arrival at the Grand Day beauty festival in a simple black top and a white skirt is enough to reduce a crowd to silence as they all gazed upon the ex-goddess' otherworldly beauty.
* HotGoddess: She was a goddess prior to being cast out by Odin and is incredibly beautiful.
* InstantRunes: She's proficient in runic magic, and ends up being instrumental in the Hestia Familia's plan to help keep Fia under the guise of the Xenos being a tamed monster.
* LethalChef: According to Sigurd, her food is tasty, but when she cooks, she has a tendency to put curses on the food, leading to crazy effects. She is banned from the kitchen as a result.
* LightningBruiser: In terms of raw specs, she's comparable to her husband Saber, with B+ Strength, A Endurance, and A Agility. When sufficiently angered, she easily tosses Archer to the side.
* MagicKnight: In addition to being a master of the spear, she was taught to use Primeval Runes by her father, Odin, himself. She was also the one to teach Saber how to use runes.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Her slight frame conceals her B+ Rank Strength, allowing her to trade blows with Saber and easily toss aside Archer in a fit of anger.
* ObliviouslyBeautiful: Lancer doesn't realize how beautiful people other than Saber find her.
* PlayingWithFire: Her most frequent offensive use of runes is to burn things with torrents of fire. This is also supplemented by her Mana Burst (Flames) skill.
* ThePowerOfLove:
** The stronger her feelings for Saber, the stronger her spear becomes. [[{{Yandere}} Best to keep it aimed at the man himself or the Hestia Familia's enemies, though]].
** This is also reflected in her skill Hero's Bridesmaid, which allows her to bless those she believes deserve to be in Valhalla (and thus be loved by her) with might as the former goddess of war.
* SemiDivine: She was originally a goddess herself as the daughter of Odin, but she lost most of her divinity after granting a victory to a warrior whom Odin did not favor.
* SickeninglySweethearts: With Saber. They'll show their affection pretty much anywhere, much to the Hestia Familia's embarrassment and chagrin. In a set of WhatIf My Room lines for Bell as a Servant, he asks Lancer and Saber to tone it down a little.
* StatusBuff: Her skill, Hero's Bridesmaid, allows her to confer blessings on those she feels are worthy of Valhalla and her love. Using this on Archer temporarily boosts his abilities until he's almost comparable to Saber in might.
* {{Valkyrie}}: She was one in life, until she left her duties to be with Saber.
* WhenSheSmiles: She's normally reserved and melancholy, but when she's around her husband her smiles can reduce entire crowds to silence or send them all into uproar at how beautiful it is.
* WorldsMostBeautifulWoman: Shares this alongside Rider as being one of the most alluring non-Goddess women in Orario. When she enters the Grand Day beauty contest, she immediately floors a raging crowd with her presence and likely would have won anyway even if her husband hadn't literally blown it away with his cheers for her. Freya sought Lancer out specifically to fill in for herself at the contest, both to save herself the boredom of entering a contest she knows she'll win, as well as vicariously live out how it would feel to win the contest anyway.
* {{Yandere}}:
** Lancer is pretty crazy for her husband, judging by her multiple attempts in attacking him which he doesn't mind. If he wasn't around, she would inevitably fall in love and kill anyone who reminded her of his chivalrous spirit and heroism, which in all likelihood would have been Bell.
** She's later shown to be viciously protective of her loved ones. When the Apollo Familia shows up on the Hestia Familia's doorstep after picking a fight with Bell, both Archer and Saber have to rush to hold her back, lest she snap and slaughter the Apollo Familia on the spot. Even then, she easily sends Archer flying into a wall and melts the gate of the Hestia Familia with a fire spell in her blind rage.
* YouRemindMeOfX: She has a tendency to fall in love with anyone whose demeanor reminds her of Sigurd, which inevitably ends in her killing them.

The warrior queen of the Iceni, whose homelands were invaded by the Roman Empire after the death of her husband. She is the sixth Servant summoned by Bell.
----
* ActionGirl: She's a battle-hardened warrior queen who can charge into an enemy army in her chariot and come out on top.
* AnArmAndALeg: [[spoiler:It doesn't stick, but she briefly loses an arm during her battle with the Juggernauts.]]
* BadassDriver: Whether transporting the Familia in a wagon or riding her horse-drawn chariot into battle, she always has supreme control over her vehicle, since she has A-Rank Riding Skill.
* BerserkButton: When it comes to family, she is violently protective of them. [[spoiler:When the Juggernauts assault the Hestia Familia, she is livid and goes on a rampage equal to the one she went on when her daughters were raped and murdered.]]
* BewareTheNiceOnes: At first glance, she's a kind, maternal woman who wants to look out for others and is a cook equal to Archer. Thus, Bell and the other non-Servant members of the Familia, unaware of her legend, are often caught off-guard [[PayEvilUntoEvil when she demands or performs violent retribution for any wrongs they suffer.]]
--> ''"It’s only natural to strike back when you have been dealt an injustice. You have to strike back in a way that leaves them unable to hurt you again..."''
* BoringButPractical: Of Bell's Servants, Rider is arguably the least impressive. Her stats are average at best, her Noble Phantasms are incapable of mass destruction, and her skills are built around her grudge against the Roman Empire, meaning that they're unlikely to activate in Orario. But while her Noble Phantasms lack in power, they make up for it in practicality: Chariot of Boudica is a sturdy chariot that's wicked fast, allowing her to ferry her allies safely across a battlefield. Similarly, Sword of Boudica's mana cost is comparatively low and can be shot rapid-fire, making it easier on Bell when she's going all out.
* BrutalHonesty: Upon seeing the Gods, Rider can't help but remark on how pathetic they are, much to their distress and Caster's hilarity.
* BuxomBeautyStandard: Primo is ''very'' jealous about Rider's sizable bust.
* CoolBigSis: She not only acts kind and supportive to Bell, she also applies the same to the younger members of her Familia.
* FieryRedhead: Zigzagged. Normally she's a calm and doting woman, but injuring a member of her family in any way will bring the wrath of the warrior queen down upon your head. [[spoiler:After Gina is injured by a monster attack that Caster could have prevented, Rider is so angry that the grass turns to ash beneath her feet.]]
* FoeTossingCharge: Her chariot is sturdy enough to smash through enemy ranks and send them sprawling across the pavement.
* LightningBruiser: While her own stats are fairly middling for a Servant, she's more than a match for most adventurers in Orario. This is taken further with her chariot, which can easily trample the average adventurer and is tough enough to be considered an Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.
* LoserDeity: Develops this opinion when she sees a group of gods and goddesses become extremely jealous of Saber and Lancer openly showing off their love for one another and asks if all gods in Orario are pathetic. Caster is ''very'' amused.
--> '''Caster:''' This nonsensical trip was worth it for that alone.
* MamaBear: She went on her legendary rampage after her daughters were kidnapped, raped, and murdered. This maternal instinct carries on even as a Servant. She's one of the first Servants to support declaring war on the Apollo Familia after they insulted Bell and tried to attack him. [[spoiler:Later on, she threatens ''Caster'' after he fails to tell them of an impending monster attack that left Gina heavily injured before mounting her chariot to demolish Apollo Familia's forces. Her revenge ultimately ends up getting toned down to loading Caster's food with chili peppers until he made amends by giving Gina some hard-to-get muffins she loves.]]
* ObliviouslyBeautiful: Rider seems unaware of how her assets affect people, especially her less-endowed Familia members.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: She's famous for her rampage against the Romans for the rape and murder of her daughters, to the point that she qualifies for Avenger. [[spoiler:After Gina is injured by monsters Caster saw coming]], her rage is so intense that the grass beneath her feet turns to ash, and she threatens her fellow Servants when they try to stop her from seeking revenge.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: In her past life, she was a warrior queen who tried to run the Romans out of Britannia before falling, but not before going on a rampage so intense that the scorch marks are still there under London. Caster acknowledges this, considering her the only woman in the familia with a high enough standing to be his escort to the casino.
* SupremeChef: She is Hestia Familia's other cook. EMIYA admits that she may surpass him.
* UnstoppableRage: She's so angry after [[spoiler:Gina is brutally injured by a monster in the middle of the War Game]] that Saber has to stop her from going too far. By the time he does, most of Apollo Familia is suffering from broken and dislocated bones, and she even manages to impale one of them on a staff while still trying to keep them alive.
* WorldsMostBeautifulWoman: Shares this alongside Lancer as being one of the most alluring non-Goddess women in Orario.

* DamselInDistress: She is introduced as a prisoner of Xenos traffickers, until the Hestia Familia rescues her.
* FearOfThunder: When she experiences a thunderstorm for the first time, she panics every time a lightning strike happens.
* FeatherFlechettes: She can fire her feathers as projectiles to defend herself.
* FishOutOfWater: Having lived in the Dungeon her whole life, she needs time to adjust to human customs.
* HopeIsScary: Expresses this belief when Hestia Familia saves her.
* IJustWantToBeFree: All she wants is to be in the open air and never be trapped in the Dungeon or anywhere else again. She connects with Berserker because of his similar attitude.

The legendary bull-headed beast of the labyrinth, born as a result of Minos breaking his promise to Poseidon and cursing his wife to hold sexual attraction towards a bull. He is the last of the standard seven Servants to be summoned by Bell.
----
* AlasPoorVillain: If you can even call Berserker a villain. While history and myths remember him as a villain and monster, Theseus saw nothing of the sort when he encountered him in the Labyrinth, as shown in the dream cycle in Chapter 48.
--> '''Theseus:''' I didn't want this...not like this... I wanted to save you...
* AlbinosAreFreaks: His enormous white mane and bright red eyes mark him as the son of a divine bull sacred to Poseidon. He was continually persecuted throughout his life for being the son of a bull and the queen, Pasiphae, until he was locked in Daedalus' Labyrinth.
* BadassAndChildDuo: During the War Game, Berserker carries Primo in what amounts to an armored backpack so Primo can cast spells safely while Berserker bulldozes anyone foolish enough to approach them.
* BerserkButton: He does '''not''' like to be called Minotaur. Primo accidentally pushes the button shortly after Bell summons the big lug, [[RunningGag though to be fair, Hestia Familia has quite the track record when it comes to bull-themed monsters]].
--> '''Primo:''' (''after Berserker is summoned'') M-Minotaur!?\
'''Asterios:''' ▂▂▃▃▃▃▄▄▄▄▅▅▅!
* TheBigGuy: Berserker is the largest and physically strongest Servant.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: {{Downplayed}}. Berserker's sclera are black, but unlike some Berserkers he's very cognizant, if a little childish.
* BoxingLessonsForSuperman: He realizes brute strength is not enough to save everybody and asks Saber to train him, which Saber agrees to.
* BrutishBulls: Downplayed. Normally, Berserker is quiet and childlike. But push his buttons by calling him by the one thing he asks you not to or attacking the people he cares about, and he'll chuck a boulder large enough to tear down a castle gate.
* BrutishCharacterBrutishWeapon: Berserker's weapons of choice are a pair of giant battle axes. He first picks them up against the tornado monsters that appear in Orario, breaching the tornadoes with ease thanks to his monstrous strength.
* DoNotCallMePaul: Berserker is pretty docile and kind when he isn't constantly threatened by starvation and heroes coming to kill him. But he hates being referred to as the Minotaur, asking the others to instead refer to him by his birth name or Berserker.
* DrawAggro: Due to his human-like intelligence and monstrous blood, the Dungeon recognizes him as a Xenos. This is in addition to being a Servant, which the Dungeon is implied to also dislike. As a result, all nearby monsters will rush to attack Berserker before anyone else.
* FaceOfAThug: His horns, imposing size, and bull-shaped mask can make it easy to mistake him for another mindless minotaur in the Dungeon. Welf has to remind Bell to accompany Berserker in the Dungeon, lest another adventurer see Berserker and attack him.
* {{Foil}}: He is this to Asterius. Both are minotaurs that were slain by a young hero. However, while Berserker fought for survival and would like nothing more than to talk to the one who slew him, Asterius fights because he [[BloodKnight loves it]] and wants to fight the one who slew him in a rematch to the death.
* GentleGiant: He is a nice person underneath that big and monster-like exterior. When informed that he'll be living outside the Familia home, he is more excited than upset since he gets to see the sky.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Half-human, half-bull, with some divine traits from Poseidon.
* HiddenDepths: Despite his [[HulkSpeak difficulty in speaking]] and propensity for roaring in rage might have you believe, he is much more intelligent than you would think. [[spoiler:This is best demonstrated when it is revealed that he has memorized the layout of the Labyrinth he was trapped in, enough to draw a completely accurate map of the structure to help other people navigate it.]]
* HornedHumanoid: You recall he's the mythological Minotaur, we hope?
* HulkSpeak: Asterios struggles to talk in complete sentences.
* IJustWantToBeFree: Having lived in the Labyrinth his whole life, he just wants to be in the open air all the time. He connects with Fia because of her similar attitude.
* TheMaze: His Noble Phantasm, Chaos Labyrinthos, recreates the maze he was caged in his entire life, trapping everyone caught inside until Berserker is either killed or all of his foes are dead. [[spoiler:In the attack against Evilus in Knossos, Berserker unleashes this, completely overpowering and taking over the man-made Dungeon.]]
* MeaningfulName: His name is "lightning" in Ancient Greek, and he has lightning coursing through his body when he fights.
* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: When he receives his falna, he more or less has the same parameters as the others despite technically being a "monster". However, in contrast to the rest of Hestia Familia, including the Servants, Berserker is '''Level 0''', a level none of the characters in ''[=DanMachi=]'' have.
* MightyGlacier: Compared to Bell's other Servants, his Agility is a comparatively paltry C, making him slow and lumbering by comparison, but his raw strength and toughness are unrivaled. Even then, he's fast enough to keep up with most Adventurers.
* MusclesAreMeaningful: He's absolutely enormous in both height and muscle, towering over even Saber in stature. Fittingly, he's also Bell's strongest Servant when it comes to raw strength.
* MysticalWhiteHair: He has a large mane of flowing white hair.
* NecessarilyEvil: Berserker had to kill and eat anyone who trespassed in the Labyrinth in order to survive, which he referred to as a necessity to survive.
* OneSteveLimit: Averted. There is another (sentient) Minotaur in the world of ''[=DanMachi=]'', and his name is close to this one (Asterius). The author claims that they'll possibly come to blows in the near future, if his chants of "MIRROR MATCH! MIRROR MATCH!" are any indication. [[spoiler:This finally comes to pass in Chapter 53.]]
* OurMinotaursAreDifferent: He's ''the'' Minotaur, the one all others are named after throughout modern fantasy. Despite his fearsome reputation, his face is humanoid, with only his red eyes, black sclerae, and horns pointing to him being anything other than an incredibly tall and muscular man. He wears a mask shaped like a bull's head to complete his mythological look.
* PerceptionFilter: Berserker's Natural Demon skill makes it so that the denizens of Orario can only perceive him as a minotaur despite his human-like face and unusual stature (not that his mask helps).
* TheQuietOne: His Mad Enhancement reduces his ability to speak to short, broken sentences. As a result, he mainly grunts and doesn't talk unless he needs to get something across.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: Zigzagged. He has red eyes, marking him as the spawn of a sacred bull meant to be sacrificed to the gods. But he's gentle and child-like until his buttons are pushed, upon which he will rip you apart with his incredible strength.
* SemiDivine: While his nature as a monster overrides it, Asterios' red eyes are a clue to his divine ancestry as the son of a bull sacred to Poseidon.
* ShockAndAwe: When he gets serious, red lightning courses through his body.
* SlasherSmile: Based on Rider's comment, Berserker's smile looks like this.
* SuperStrength: In terms of sheer physical might, Berserker handily outstrips everyone in the Hestia Familia with his A++ strength, making him even more powerful than the mighty Heracles. He can increase his strength even further with his Monstrous Strength, smashing through a tornado that could only be breached by the attacks of a Level 6 or 7 adventurer with ease. He's even strong enough to punch a hole in a wall of Adamantite, the second strongest metal in the world.
* TragicMonster: Berserker didn't have it easy in life, considering the reason for his existence was because Minos went back on his promise to Poseidon, which led to the latter cursing his wife to develop sexual attraction for bulls and promptly enlist Daedalus to create a maze in which no one could escape. As one might imagine, he's quite happy to actually get to see the surface world after having been locked away in a maze for all of his life.
* UnskilledButStrong: Berserker is easily the most powerful member of the Hestia Familia in terms of brute strength, but his Mad Enhancement and lack of training means that most of his tactics boil down to "hit stuff hard and shield allies with his own body".
* WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer: True to his class, Berserker is lacking in fighting skill compared to his fellow Servants, exchanging sanity for brute force. But he's so strong that simply swinging his axes is enough to crush nearly anything before him. Even the powerful black twisters that completely repel powerful spells like Lefiya's are dispelled when Berserker charges straight at them.

A member of Hephaistos Familia who parties often with Bell whenever he goes into the dungeon. He is Bell's sponsor and crafts his gear. He later joins the Hestia Familia out of his feelings of companionship with Bell.
----
* AntiMagic: His magic, Will-O'-The-Wisp, forces a MagicMisfire, nullifying a spell and causing it blow up in the caster's face. Its short two-line incantation makes it a cinch for him to disrupt the efforts of {{Squishy Wizard}}s.
* BadassesWearBandanas: He wears a bandana around his neck that he puts on when he's blacksmithing.
* BestFriend: By his own admission, he's Bell's only guy friend around his age group. As a result, Welf is able to relate to Bell on a personal level amidst the otherworldly Servants. Plus, it's nice to have someone to talk to outside of Bell's UnwantedHarem shenanigans.
* BeyondTheImpossible: How he views Gram, which in the world of ''[=DanMachi=]'' is viewed as a magic weapon. He's baffled as to how Saber can reform the weapon after it shatters, no matter how many times he breaks it since normal magic weapons will shatter after a certain number of uses. On the other hand, this, along with the fact that the Hestia Familia has slowly been pushing him to take up crafting magic weapons again, excites him as it could be possible to create a magic weapon that can be repaired.
* {{BFS}}: His preferred weapon is a massive sword almost as long as he is tall.
* TheBlacksmith: Welf not only makes most of the weapons and armor of the mortal members of the Familia, but also makes magic swords for them as well.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: He's not too keen on mentioning his surname for good reason, since in the past the Crozzo Family once had a contract with a Spirit and were able to craft magic weapons, only for them to lose that ability when said weapons destroyed much of the Spirits' homes. Welf somehow managed to retain this ability and his family pressured him to restore their former glory.
* DeadpanSnarker: He can be almost as snarky as Lily when he feels like it, particularly when the Servants' antics draw a ton of unnecessary attention.
--> '''Welf:''' (''after Saber roars for Lancer at the beauty contest'') Geez, can you be any louder? I don’t think Lady Hestia heard you back at the inn.
* DefectorFromDecadence: His family is treated as blacksmithing royalty in Rakia for their ability to forge magic swords. However, they lost the ability over the years until it spontaneously showed up in Welf again. Welf himself is disgusted by magic swords for their tendency to break when the wielder needs them most, leading him to abandon Rakia and head to Orario to forge a godly weapon without relying on his bloodline.
* DivineDate: In Chapter 38, Caster accurately guesses that this is why Welf requested to join the Hestia Familia with Hephaistos' permission.
--> “Yes yes, I’m sure the Smith Goddess was quite pleased to hear that you will attempt to make her your woman,” Caster said with a bored voice that caused Welf to blink blankly for a moment before wheeling around toward the king with a beet red face. “Oho? So it was true.”\
“I-! You-! How!?” Welf sputtered as Emma, Rider and Gina rushed up to Welf, eager press him for the details.
* FieryRedhead: He's red-haired and passionate about his blacksmithing to the point of being enraged when asked to make magic swords.
* GiverOfLameNames: Much like his ancestor, Crozzo, his items tend not to sell well because of the embarrassing names he tends to give them. For instance, Bell's armor is "Pyonkichi" (the Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a rabbit makes and a Japanese name ending).
* IdenticalGrandson: He looks identical to his ancestor, Crozzo, whom Argonaut recognizes on sight.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Despite having taking part in most of the Hestia Familia's adventures, he doesn't know that most of the members are Spirits. This is no longer the case after joining Hestia Familia.
* MinoredInAsskicking: He's a blacksmith first and foremost, but he's more than capable of fending for himself with the swords he makes.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: He's dismayed to learn that [[SpontaneousWeaponCreation Archer]] is able to create nearly flawless copies of Welf's work in a few minutes when it took Welf days of effort to make them.
* PlayingWithFire: When he does make magic swords, they're often imbued with fire, such as Kazuki.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He's on the receiving end of one by Caster, albeit well-meaning as the king mocks him for not using his ability to his fullest potential by refusing to make magic weapons while also claiming that he would make a weapon that would surpass Hephaistos’ weapons, saying that he is essentially giving the Goddess of the Forge a handicap. To be fair to Welf though, his pride as a blacksmith makes him hesitant to make a weapon that will break and can never be fixed. This mindset slowly starts to fade the longer Welf parties with Bell.
* RedBaron: High Smith, making it one of the tamer aliases in the series.
* UltimateBlacksmith: His goal is to become a blacksmith to rival Hephaistos and create something that surpasses the gods with his own mortal hands.
* UtilityPartyMember: Downplayed. He can hold his own in a fight just fine, but his primary role is to create and maintain the weapons and armor of the mortal members of the Familia.
* WillfullyWeak: He stubbornly refuses to make magic swords for the sake of his pride in blacksmithing and distaste for the magic swords' unreliability. However, he's grown more open to forging them for his allies after catching a glimpse of Gram and [[spoiler:Argonaut's Magic Sword of Flames]].

* HaveWeMet: She feels as though she should know Saber and Lancer, even though she's sure she's never met them before.
--> Lancer in particular bothered her. Loki felt as though she knew that woman even though she was 100% sure she had never seen her until the beach party. That said, Saber, Lancer's supposed husband according to Hestia, himself was also strange in much of the same way. Both of them seem to have Odin's marks all over them but Hestia claimed that she was the first one to give them their blessing.
* HiddenDepths: She acts like a clown most of the time, but you don't get to become the goddess of a leading Familia in Orario without having intelligence and cunning, which she shows from time to time.

In the present, she's among the strongest adventurers in Orario, having an array of powerful innate skills and nearly unrivaled swordsmanship. She is also beautiful enough to have men throwing themselves at her constantly, only to get shooed away by Loki.
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: To her all monsters are evil, so she can't accept the possibility of Berserker being a (Heroic) Spirit.
* BlowYouAway: Her innate magic, Ariel, creates torrents of wind around her that enhance her already incredible speed and power while deflecting oncoming attacks.
* BlueIsHeroic: Her outfit is characterized by being mostly blue, silver, and white, and she's overall a great person.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: For all her skill and power, Ais is a bit airheaded and struggles to express herself at times.

* FantasticRacism: She hates monsters with every fiber of her being. She privately muses that she would have tried to kill Berserker and Fia if doing so wouldn't bring the wrath of Hestia Familia on her Familia's head. When Loki Familia brought in an injured Siren, she [[https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/heroic-myth-fate-grand-order-x-danmachi.729157/post-76009710 tried to kill her and had to be stopped by Riveria]].
* {{Kuudere}}: Ais doesn't know how to express herself very well.
* LiteralMinded: When Jack calls Bell her Mommy, she apologizes to him for mistaking his gender, much to the amusement of everyone present.
* MadeOfIndestructium: Due to Ais' tendency to break her weapons, her personal sword, Desperate, is given the Durandal attribute by necessity. Even then, it can still dull.
* MasterSwordsman: As the "Sword Princess", Ais is perhaps the most famous swordswoman in Orario. Despite her skills, she still comes a distant second to both Ottarl and Saber.
* MySignificanceSenseIsTingling: PlayedForLaughs. Ais gets the distinct feeling that she missed out on something when Gina vetoes Archer's proposal to sell Jagamaru-kun croquettes like everyone else on Grand Day. This is while Ais is eighteen floors deep in the Dungeon while Archer and Gina are up in Orario.
* RedBaron: Her current alias is Sword Princess. When she was younger, she was called the Doll Princess.
* SecretKeeper: Ais is the first one outside of Hestia Familia to learn that most of their members are (Heroic) Spirits and keeps it a secret from her Familia [[spoiler:until they figure it out on their own]].
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Hers are Jagamaru-kun.

* HotGoddess: She's considered a major piece of eye candy before Freya shows up on the scene.
* OddFriendship: With Hestia. They're polar opposites in that Hephaistos runs an extremely large and wealthy Familia while Hestia's is small and poor. Hephaistos is serious and diligent while Hestia is cheerful and lazy. Hephaistos is often the one lending Hestia items, money, and even Hestia's church so that the poorer goddess can get by. 837The Goddess of Freya Familia, the familia acknowledged as the strongest in Orario.
----
* AuraVision: She possesses the ability of seeing the color and brilliance of souls. It was because of this that led her to discover Bell thus starting her obsession with him.
* BullyingADragon: Her engineered attacks to test Bell is the equivalent to poking the hornet's nest, including the Silverback from Monsterphilia going after Hestia and the Minotaur trained by Ottarl. When Caster gets word of her actions, he decides to pay her a visit and left her Familia home in smoky ruin.
* HaveWeMet: Similar to Loki, she feels as though she should know Saber and Lancer, even though she's sure she's never met them before.
--> In a flash of purple, the woman swung her spear at Saber’s head. The knight simply leaned his head back without even opening his eyes before lifting his sword up to block the second strike.\
Yes, their souls shined even brighter when the two of them fought like this.\
It must drive Hestia up the wall whenever it happened but there were few things that could trump this combination’s sheer beauty when that Walkure fought against the one she loved with such passion.\
“…Hmm? Walkure?” Freya muttered. “Why is that name coming to mind?”\
Was this what Loki meant when she was muttering about how the two felt similar to her?
* HotGoddess: She's regarded as one of the most beautiful goddesses in Orario, and possibly the entire world. This leads to many goddesses to feel jealousy towards her, like Ishtar.

* BerserkButton: Don't insult Freya or try to harm her in any way. ''Especially'' don't say that you're more beautiful than her to his face.
* BlackSwordsAreBetter: The Supreme Black Sword is a {{BFS}} forged from the drop of the Udaeus Monster Rex. Forged by the Goibniu Familia, it's a masterpiece worth 410 million valis.
* ChallengeSeeker: He dreams of facing an opponent who could actually give him trouble. He's elated to find a potential rival in Saber, and the two trade blows at the Grand Day exhibition.
* HulkingOut: His Vana Arganture skill bulks up his muscles and allows him to "beastify", greatly improving his already incredible strength. He and Saber are able to go all-out against each other in this state.
* {{Hunk}}: He's incredibly tall and muscular with chiseled features. If not for his fanatical devotion to Freya and general disregard for life, he'd likely be considered attractive.
* LightningBruiser: He's on par with Saber in strength, skill, durability, and speed. Their clashes send out a KungFuSonicBoom so intense that it knocked away all but Orario's strongest adventurers.
* LittleBitBeastly: He's a boaz, a half-pig person, giving him pig ears.
* MasterSwordsman: So much so that even the prodigious Ais fails to pose any kind of challenge to him in both strength or skill. The only one so far to face him on even footing is Saber.
* RedBaron: "King" for being the strongest adventurer in Orario.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Freya, like all members of the Familia. Unlike them, he understands that her attention can never belong to just one person.

[[caption-width-right:350:Babylonian Goddess of Love]]
The head of the Ishtar Familia and the Babylonian Goddess of Love. She and her Familia are situated in Orario's red-light district.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: Zigzagged. The Ishtar in the Nasuverse from which Caster and the Servants hail varies in personality depending on the circumstances, such as using Rin Tohsaka as a host and said host influencing her. The Ishtar of ''[=DanMachi=]''? Leagues worse than the one Caster knows of, and that's only because this one is actively involved in the affairs of humans.
* AlwaysSecondBest: She may be a HotGoddess, but she's always this to Freya, whose charm can affect even her fellow gods. On top of that, Freya's Familia is highly regarded whereas the Ishtar Familia is one of the lower ranking and has only a single notable Adventurer. To say she hates Freya would be an understatement.
* BerserkButton: She absolutely despises the fact that she is AlwaysSecondBest to Freya, and Caster is all too happy to button mash it to hell.
* CassandraTruth: In the past, the Ishtar Familia was accused of falsifying their Levels, which forced the Guild to disclose all information about her Familia, from their actual Levels to their stats, Skills, etc. In retaliation, Ishtar forced the accusing Familias to pay for their transgression and crushed whoever was financially weakened afterwards.
* CharmPerson: Being a goddess of beauty like Freya, she's also capable of charming the people around her. She just needs to strip down into her birthday suit to trigger it.
* EvilCounterpart: While it's debatable how "good" Freya is, Ishtar is definitely worse. Both are the goddesses of love, desire and fertility, but Ishtar has close ties to her pantheon's version of the underworld while Freya is associated with music and flowers and is the leader of the Valkyries, who choose those worthy of Valhalla after they have perished. Although Freya's methods are questionable when it comes to recruiting Adventurers into her Familia, they almost always come out stronger because of it with Ottarl being a good example, even earning her their UndyingLoyalty. Ishtar, on the other, only has a single notable adventurer among her ranks and although they have more members than Freya's, they have to use Haruhime to empower their abilities.
* HotGoddess: She ''is'' one of the goddesses of love in Orario, though many feel Freya beats her in this regard, leading to her AlwaysSecondBest mention above.
* NotGoodWithRejection: It is mentioned by Ninsun to Caster that Ishtar is this. As such, Caster made sure to reject her in the most insulting way possible, including [[BerserkButton calling her a second rate goddess compared to Freya]].
* SmugSnake: She honestly believed that she could charm '''Caster''' of all people.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: She never wears a shirt. The only thing keeping her naughty bits from being exposed to the world is a ''very'' thin piece of cloth around her neck.

[[TheDreaded With a personality and presence that no one would dare to mess with her]], check. [[OneManArmy Would personally take on an entire familia]] [[MamaBear if someone messes with her employees]], check.
* BigBeautifulWoman: She's quite curvaceous despite being fairly chubby.
* ChefOfIron: Her food is good enough to keep even elites like Loki Familia coming back, and she's no slouch in a fight either.
* LargeAndInCharge: A good six feet tall and a bit on the chubby side. No one dares to mess with her.
* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: She's an extremely burly bartender who is a former adventurer, but at 180cm, she's taller than many female humans in the story, much less dwarves. Particularly strange given that Gareth, the other major Dwarf character, plays this straight (he's 151cm tall, or just below 5 feet). 170cm, roughly average height for a Japanese man, is explicitly noted to be tall for a dwarf, so dwarves ''are'' shorter than average.
* RetiredBadass: She was an adventurer before opening the Hostess of Fertility and Saber notes that she is actually quite powerful. [[spoiler:As the Level 6 ex-Captain of the Freya Familia, she's strong enough to go toe-to-toe with almost anyone in Orario and can contest some Servants.]]

----
* ActionGirl: She was once a Level 4 Adventurer and retains her power to the current day.
* BerserkButton: There are two things that could set Ryuu off.
** Talking badly about her Familia and their ideals which Gilgamesh loves to press every single time he's interacted with her.
** Just mentioning about Evilus will rile her up.
* BlowYouAway: She has a spell that can use wind.
* DramaticIrony: When she learns that Evilus recruits followers by promising to reunite them with their lost loved ones via reincarnation, she calls the followers utter fools because that is impossible since reincarnation erases your memories. She tells this to Saber, who as a Servant, has been reincarnated and reunited with his lost wife.
* ForWantOfANail: As Hestia Familia has more members in this story and doesn't end up in the 18th Floor by accident, Ryuu doesn't go down to rescue Bell and the others, subsequently meaning she isn't the one to rescue Bell and Lefiya when they are ambushed by Evilus, who in this story is handled by Caster.

* RedBaron: She has two: "Maenadas" and "Banshee".
* SoleSurvivor: The rest of her Familia that was with her at the time was slaughtered in the Nightmare of the 27th Floor. This earned her the name Banshee.

The God of the titular Familia, and the patron deity of Emma's sister, Sophia.
----
* JerkassGod: His EstablishingCharacterMoment in the fanfic is to grab Emma's arm, demand to know which Familia she belongs to, then try to have her join his Familia while dismissing her complaints and rejections.
* StalkerWithoutACrush: He's been hounding Hestia to transfer Emma to his Familia ever since he met the girl, though it is not out of attraction.

!!Sophia Flores
Emma's older sister and member of the Aeshma Familia, and the reason why Emma became an Adventurer in the first place.
----
* BrokenBird: After Emma refuses Aeshma's offer to join his Familia, Sophia's despondant and aggressive nature towards her sister make it clear that she has not had a pleasant time under the god.
* IWillFindYou: Emma became an Adventurer in order to find her sister. She succeeded following the War Game with Apollo, but Sophia herself is unwilling (or unable to) return with her sister.

An old friend of Hestia. Her familia travels across the world, picking up Adventurers to train and add to her familia or send out to other familias, but makes occasional stops in Orario.
----
* ItAmusedMe: This is her reasoning for [[spoiler:not revealing Enyo's identity]].
* LiteralMinded: According to Karen Morris, she tends to take sayings literally and does not grasp their true meanings. For example, she does not understand that "The early bird gets the worm." applies to people and not just birds.
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler:She knows who Enyo is but has no intention of telling anyone, as that would ruin her entertainment.]]
* WalkingTheEarth: She and her familia travels around, only making occasional stops in Orario for supplies and for events like the Denatus.

----
* KnightInShiningArmor: She comes from a long family of knights and wishes to be one herself once her days as an adventurer are done.

[[/folder]]

!Xenos
[[folder:In General]]
A group formed by monsters who have attained sentience and wish to leave the Dungeon.
----
* FantasticRacism: One of the reasons why the Xenos are so hesitant to trust Bell, a human. Being monsters, they naturally face opposition from other Adventurers in spite of their wishes to live in peace with humans and the other races living on the surface.
* ItCanThink: This is what separates them from the monsters who roam the Dungeon. They all possess human-like intelligence, and most are capable of human speech.
* {{Reincarnation}}: The Xenos are believed to be reincarnations of monsters slain in the Dungeon. This is proven with Asterius, a BloodKnight Minotaur who wants a rematch with the Adventurer who killed him in his previous life.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Asterius]]
A minotaur Xenos that loves to fight. In his past life, he was a Minotaur personally trained by Ottarl to push Bell Cranel to his limits and was eventually killed by his hand.
----
* BackFromTheDead: Like other Xenos, he was a regular monster that roamed the Dungeon before he was killed by Adventurers. In fact, Asterius is the same Minotaur that was trained by Ottarl, and killed by Bell.
* BloodKnight: Fighting is all he lives for. Even after other Xenos reached out to him, he spends most of his time fighting other monsters deep in the Dungeon. He also wants nothing more than to have a rematch with Bell, the one who killed him in his previous life.
* DarkIsNotEvil: His body is entirely black and wants nothing more than to fight Bell to the death, but he is wholly willing to protect his fellow Xenos when needed. He's also implied to be the minotaur attacking Adventurers, but doesn't kill them and instead steals their equipment.
* DualWielding: Wields two axes at the same time.
* {{Foil}}: He is this to Berserker. Both are minotaurs that were slain by a young hero. However, while Asterius fights because he [[BloodKnight loves it]] and wants to fight the one who slew him in a rematch to the death, Berserker fought for survival and would like nothing more than to talk to the one who slew him.

[[folder:Argonaut ''UNMARKED SPOILERS'']]
!!Argonaut
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/danmemo_argonaut_3.png]]

A Heroic Spirit native to the world of ''[=DanMachi=]'', where his adventures are sung about far and wide to bring hope and laughter to all. Summoned as the Servant Alter Ego, he possesses Bell's body when he brings up his dream of becoming a hero while holding the Holy Grail in his hands and proceeds to take it out for a joyride.
----
* BadassBoast: Gives one when he introduces himself.
--> "This is the man who defeated the evil creature, Minotaur, allowing humanity to take one great step forward into the future! The one who called upon other great warriors to begin their Heroic Myths! The one who ended the era of sorrow and despair that has plagued this world since the dawn of time. I am the one who gave rise to the Era of Heroes! The vessel which lead the Heroes to come to greatness! The one who challenged the gods to view my glory! I am the Radiant Dawn, Argonaut!"
* BeenThereShapedHistory: His stories are spoken about ages after his death and he chatters away about his friends, who helped him inspire the gods to descend from heaven and mingle with mortals.
* BelievingTheirOwnLies: Played with. He tries to deny the true ending to his tale, where he dies blinded on his very next adventure, citing the storybook version written by Orna where he and his companions go off on another adventure to save the world from darkness instead. But given that he's talking to [[LivingLieDetector Hermes]] at the time, the lie fails to stick. However, he claims that it isn't a lie because that is the ending of the ''story'' of Argonaut.
--> "Tis not a lie, Lord Hermes," Argo insisted with a smile. "Argonaut is the fool who wished to become a hero. Along the way he was tricked by the evil people around him and even the king himself. And in the end he was saved by the princess he set out to save and together they defeated the darkness looming over the kingdom. That is the story of Argonaut."
* BeneathTheMask: Beneath his cheery larger-than-life persona and grand dreams of making an age of heroes a reality, he admits that he always wanted a rematch with that minotaur, this time without Aria to save him.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: His battle or more precisely, slaughter of the monsters in the Dungeon proves that he is deadly when push comes to shove. Note that this was downplayed in life, as he was much weaker than all of his companions and his next adventure after slaying the minotaur killed him.
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:Argonaut manifested in order to aid Bell and Lefiya against Behemoth Alter.]]
* BlingOfWar: His armor is golden atop his flowing white and black tunic, striking an impressive image that convinces Ais and the others of his identity.
* ButtMonkey: Even in Bell's body, almost everything Argonaut does makes him the target of slapstick, whether it's falling out of the Hestia Familia's headquarters, getting whacked by Loki Familia girls after pulling them all into a hug, or getting shocked by Jupiter while trying to summon him. At least part of his buffoonery is intentional, as he does this to make people laugh and lift their spirits.
* ChivalrousPervert:
** He's a shameless flirt and the first thing he does after possessing Bell is to hit on Hestia and ask her to marry him. That said, he's respectful of people's boundaries and apologizes for any missteps he makes. He also arranges for Bell to wake up with his head on Ais' lap.
** In life, his adventures were fueled by his inability leave a crying girl alone, going to incredible lengths to get Aria and Orna to smile.
* CoolSword: He possesses the original Crozzo's Magic Sword of Flames (also known as the original Minotan) as well as the Spirit Jupiter converted into a lightning-infused blade simply known as the Sword of Thunder.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Although he is remembered as a clown, Argonaut was a legitimate hero who brought a [[HopeBringer ray of hope]] during a time of hopelessness.
* {{Determinator}}: Before he gained his powerful swords, this was all he had going for him. In a flashback, he met his adoptive sister Fina when she was threatened by a monster. After distracting it, he tried to pick her up and run, but to his embarrassment, was barely able to lift her even though she was a child. He did not give up and ran with her to safety even when he felt like his arms would fall off.
* DualWielding: He's usually seen carrying both the Magic Sword of Flames and the Sword of Thunder at once.
* {{Foil}}:
** To Bell. While Bell is meek and humble, his growth rate is astonishing and he's soon slaying monsters far more quickly than he should be able to. He dreams of being a hero like EMIYA or Caster. Meanwhile, Argonaut is proud, loud, and charismatic and ''is'' a world-famous hero. But his actual strength is terribly low by comparison and he had to constantly be rescued by others until he got his hands on the Sword of Thunder.
** To Caster. Both of them are {{Large Ham}}s and considered the first heroes of their worlds. But while Caster is the WorldsStrongestMan with an infinite supply of humanity's greatest treasures, Argonaut was a lowly peasant and a clown who brought people under his banner to help him achieve the dreams he could not have alone. While Caster died of old age after failing in his quest for immortality, Argonaut was blinded and later killed by his next adventure without even managing to defeat his archnemesis, the Minotaur, on his own.
* FragileSpeedster: Despite having immense power and speed thanks to a combination of his own abilities as a Servant and Bell's stats, he's easily floored by a punch from both Tiona and Lefiya.
* GrandTheftMe: After being accidentally summoned by Bell, Argonaut spends several chapters inhabiting the boy's body.
* TheHeroDies: The true ending of his story is that he dies on his very next adventure after being blinded during his battle with the Minotaur and being betrayed by the king.
* HistoricalBadassUpgrade:
** Thanks to possessing Bell's body and being granted the powers of a Servant, Argonaut is far more powerful than he was in life in an inversion of the norm for Servants. Even he is in awe at how easily he can wield his magic swords without even feeling the backlash of wielding them.
** He's also this in stories, which play up his heroic aspects while leaving out the parts where he's almost always running for his life because of how weak he was.
* HopeBringer: The reason why he became a hero is to help those who can't help themselves. Regardless of his reputation, be it the famous hero or infamous fool, he's satisfied either way as long as his exploits can inspire the people to be able to hope again.
* IdenticalStranger: He's virtually identical to Bell despite living ages ago.
* InternalRetcon: The ending of Argonaut's story is much more tragic in history than the storybooks tell people. The official story ends with him and his friends off on another adventure to save the world. In reality, he was blinded by the backlash of using the Sword of Thunder and the Magic Sword of Flames against the minotaur before perishing on his very next adventure. He asked Orna to make his story a comedy instead to ensure that people don't lose faith in heroes and keep them from mourning his loss. To him, the hope he wanted to inspire is more important than his own life.
* LargeHam: He has the ability to come up with detailed, flowery speeches on the spot and is constantly bursting into boisterous laughter.
* MagneticHero: His most astonishing trait is his ability to gather people under his cause and lift people's spirits with his clownish antics. In fact, he was actually much worse at the whole "slaying monsters and saving princesses" thing and had to be rescued by his friends countless times.
* MistakenIdentity: He mistakes Ais, Tiona, Tione, and Lefiya for Aria, Orna, Elmina/Elshana, and Fina respectively. Given that they're heavily implied to be his friends' reincarnations, his confusion is understandable.
* TheParagon: While he wasn't strong when he was alive, he inspired his companions and many others to rise up and become heroes. He later inspires Ais to try to be worthy of the Throne of Heroes and often advises Bell on his path to becoming a hero.
* PassingTheTorch: He eventually gives control of Bell's body back, saying his time has passed, so he'll leave it to Bell to be this generation's hero. That said, he offers to be of service for anything other than fighting and says that Bell only needs to ask if they want to talk again. [[spoiler:He does, however, make another appearance in order to help Bell against Behemoth Alter.]]
* PerpetualSmiler: He insists on keeping a smile on his as part of his antics to make people happy. It turns bitter when he reminisces on his duel with the minotaur and wishes he could have a rematch without Aria to save him.
* PlayingWithFire: The Magic Sword of Flames produces, well, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin flames]]. It's hot enough to instantly vaporize any monsters struck by the waves of fire it produces.
* RedBaron: He's called "Radiant Dawn" because his actions led to the rise of heroes who could raise the hopes of the masses.
* {{Reincarnation}}: It's heavily implied Argonaut is Bell's past self, explaining why the latter reached out to him.
* ShockAndAwe: The Sword of Thunder lets him burn his foes to a crisp with a flurry of lightning bolts.
* ShowingOffTheNewBody: In a platonic sense. After possessing Bell, Argonaut is so excited that he immediately dashes off to the dungeon to gauge his power. He's delighted to discover that he can slaughter monsters on the Upper Floors with ease thanks to Bell's growth rate and his own abilities as a Servant.
* SophisticatedAsHell: Argonaut flips between PurpleProse and colloquial language at the drop of a hat. As shown by his [[BadassBoast introduction]]:
--> '''Argonaut:''' I am the one who gave rise to the Era of Heroes! The vessel which lead the Heroes to come to greatness! The one who challenged the gods to view my glory! I am the Radiant Dawn, Argonaut! ''[smirks]'' How's that? Pretty freaking cool, if I say so myself.
* SpiritAdvisor: Acts as this to Bell sometimes.

[[folder:Soma]]
!!Soma
!!!God
The God of the Soma Familia that Lily was once part of before Caster helped her escape its toxic influence.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Downplayed in that Soma's [[RestoredMyFaithInHumanity treatment of his Familia]] improves much sooner thanks to the intervention of Caster trying to earn Lily's freedom earlier than in canon.
* BrokenPedestal: There was a time Lily held Soma highly, as he was the one who more or less took care of her as a child. After Zanis Lustra, the Captain of the Soma Familia, gave Soma wine to the Familia and got them hooked on it and caused the god to become apathetic to the state of his own Familia, Lily lost all respect for her god and has been looking for a way out since.
* FantasticDrug: The complete Soma wine is this. A normal human who has so much as a ''sip'' will become so intoxicated with the stuff they'll do anything to taste it again. It ends up being used against Soma by Zanis Lustra, who gives the Familia a taste of the stuff and, in the process, makes the Soma Familia devoted to the god's wine rather than the deity himself and makes Soma apathetic to the affairs of his children. At least until Lily overcomes its affects and asks to leave.
* ParentalSubstitute: He was this to Lily before he became apathetic to his Familia's affairs once Zanis more or less took control. He still shows signs of caring after Lily requests to leave the Soma Familia and personally feels as though he's failed her, both as a "parent" and as her god.
* RestoredMyFaithInHumanity: After Zanis got his Familia hooked on the complete version of the Soma wine, Soma became apathetic to his children's affairs until Lily asked to leave the Familia and overcame the effects of the stuff when he gave it to her as a test. Sometime after Lily officially left and transferred to the Hestia Familia, he's begun treating his Familia how he once did, and it clearly shows when Lily encounters some of her former Familia's members during a dive in the Dungeon.

----
* HotGod: As a god, he's handsome by definition to mortals.
* SecretSecretKeeper: He is aware of the Heroic Spirits' existence, something they are not aware of.

The founder of the Ganesha Familia and one of the more well-known Gods. His Familia hosts the Monsterfilia events and is known to be very exuberant.
----
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Ganesha is a {{Cloudcuckoolander}}, but he is also the head of one of the strongest Familias in Orario.
* {{Catchphrase}}: His is "I am Ganesha!".
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: The guy is pretty childish especially he had commissioned a large statue towering over his Familia's home. However, the door to their home is right under the statue's groin. Lancer comments on this much to the rest of the Ganesha Familia's embarrassment.
* LargeHam: There's isn't a scene without him standing tall and shouting his {{Catchphrase}}.
* SecretKeeper: He is one of the few aware of the Xenos.

!!Ninsun
The goddess of Ninsun Familia from Sumerian mythology.
----
* HaveWeMet: She feels a strange sense of kinship with Caster. This is unsurprising, given that her Nasuverse counterpart is his mother.
* ReplacementGoldfish: Gilgamesh gets a soft spot for the Goddess Ninsun, the counterpart of his mother. Though this Ninsun never had children, she becomes fond of him too. Ninsun seems to be dating a member of her Familia named Lugal Banda (Gilgamesh's father is named Lugalbanda), and he and Gilgamesh also become fond of each other.

----
* DirtyOldMan: Emma describes him as this.
* LoveableSexManiac: This guy will go nuts whenever he sees a beautiful woman right in front of him. This earns him the ire of the entire female members of the Hestia Familia.
* MistakenForPedophile: Rider calls him a criminal for being in Gina's room and staring at her sleeping form for an entire night even though he didn't mean to.
* OhCrap: Reacts this way once Artemis grabs hold of him. Whether or not he remembers why is unknown.
* StalkerWithACrush: Has experienced this before which is why he sympathizes with Emma's plight.
* Toys/TeddyBear: That is the body he inhabit.

[[caption-width-right:350:[[FallenHero Fallen Hero of Justice]]]]
->''"That body is made out of a blade."''
An Archer-class Servant that appears before Tiona, Tione, and Bete in Chapter 52.
----
* BifurcatedWeapon: His two guns can be combined at the hilt to form a DoubleWeapon.
* BodyHorror: His bullets can cause blades to sprout within whoever is shot by them, resulting in an explosion of blood and gore. Bete, Tione, and Tiona get a front-row seat when they witness him killing monsters this way.
* BottomlessMagazines: He can Project bullets directly into his guns, bypassing the need to reload entirely.
* DarkIsEvil: He's clad in dark clothing and his skin tone is much darker than Archer's own. He's also working for Evilus and is will kill anyone who may be a threat to their plans. Downplayed and subverted when it is revealed that he may be doing this against his will.
* EvilCounterpart: He's what EMIYA would be if he fully committed himself to being a Counter Guardian and abandoned his ideals entirely.
* ExtraOreDinary: When his enemies get close, he has swords grow out of his own body to catch them off guard.
* ForcedIntoEvil: Implied in the PeoplePuppets entry below. He is ordered to kill anyone who intrudes Knossos, but at the same time he's not too keen on following that order to the letter.
--> “Evil?” The man asked in a gravelly voice like that of a dead man. “Ahh…I suppose so.”
* GunsAkimbo: He wields Kanshou and Byakuya like Archer, but they're modified to act as revolvers.
* ICannotSelfTerminate: His Master apparently used a Command Spell to prevent him from killing himself.
* MirrorMatch: Fittingly, both EMIYA Alter and Archer engage in battle when the latter senses him and defends Loki Familia from him.
* MistakenIdentity: Tiona made it a point to remember Archer's facial features when she failed to recognize him when they met at the casino. While she is correct in believing that it's Archer attacking them, they're dealing with a different version of him altogether.
* PeoplePuppets: Implied to be happening to him. He is following someone's orders to kill all intruders in Knossos, but isn't exactly trying his hardest to follow those orders either.
* ScaryBlackMan: His skin is far darker than Archer's and has zero-qualms about who deserves to die by way of swords growing out their bodies.
* WillfullyWeak: He doesn't use everything he's capable of when fighting Loki Familia. This isn't the case however, when fighting Archer.
