* Hayes' EstablishingCharacterMoment in Spring Training where, having been tossed out of camp, he races back in during a sprinting drill and outruns the players participating.
** After the two players who were running the drill already started.
** '''Barefoot.'''
-->'''Lou:''' (looks at stopwatch) Get him a uniform.
* Coach Lou confronting "the bitch" owner Rachel Phelps in the locker room after a particularly trying game, especially about the shoddy condition of said locker room. And he does it naked.
-->'''Rachel:''' Shouldn't you cover yourself with a towel first, Mr. Brown?
-->'''Lou''' (standing cross-armed): We're out of towels, and I'm too old to go diving into lockers!
* "Forget about the curveball, Ricky....give 'em the heater."
* The Indians' MiracleRally montage set to James Newton Howards's "Pennant Fever".
* The final play:
-->'''Harry Doyle:''' ''Taylor bunts!...Hayes around third, he's gonna try to score!...Here comes the throw!....He slides!....He is...
-->'''Umpire:''' SAFE! SAFE!
-->'''Harry Doyle:''' AND THE INDIANS WIN IT, THE INDIANS WIN IT, OH MY GOD, THE INDIANS WIN IT!
* According to WordOfGod, for Cerrano's game-tying home run in the climactic game, Dennis Haysbert really did clear the fences with that swing -- not as far as the ball was depicted to have gone, but he did hit a legitimate home run nonetheless.
* Dorn parlays his rage at Vaughn into playing his best game in years in the final.
* When Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn enters the field and the entire crowd sings along to his theme music. Easily one of the coolest intro scenes in film.
** And cool enough that real life closers now have their own power-up entrances.
* Early in the second movie, Vaughn's first inning is described by Bob Uecker as "Oooo! Strike three! Oh! Strike six! Wow! Strike ''nine!''" Rick Vaughn pitched what's known as an [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_League_Baseball_pitchers_who_have_thrown_an_immaculate_inning immaculate inning]], a fairly uncommon accomplishment for a pitcher.
* The final play. We've seen Jake dreaming of "calling his shot" and hitting a home run in a big game, and think he's going to actually do it. But he does what's best for the team, and doesn't risk it all on a big swing. Instead, he ''bunts''. The infielders, who in response to the the "call his shot" pointing, have been backing up a little and are caught slightly out of position (we see one of them mutter [[OhCrap "shit"]] as he realizes the trick and starts running for the ball). The trick gives Jake just barely enough time to reach first safely, allowing Willie to go for home. It even helps Willie in a secondary way, as Clu Haywood, upon hearing Jake called "Safe!", instinctively turns to the umpire in a "WTF you talking about, how did he make that?" way, before turning back and throwing to the catcher, giving Willie a critical extra second to make it home safely.
* "Let's cut to the crap, Vaughn. I only got one thing to say to you...strike this MOTHER. FUCKER. OUT."
* The second movie gives us the sequence where Hayes insinuates that he's going to try to tackle Parkman when he comes around to score (which just amuses the ''much'' larger, much stronger Parkman), and then when Hayes is attempting to scores, Parkman crouches to brace himself for the collision... and Hayes jumps completely over Parkman instead.
