* NightmareFuel: [[HalloweenEpisode "The Curse Of PCA"]] is genuinely frightening, as the characters are stalked by [[VengefulGhost Charles L. Galloway, the ghost of a former student]] who [[DrivenToSuicide commited suicide]] (which is obviously [[NeverSayDie never mentioned]], but ''heavily'' implied) after being relentlessly tortured by a SadistTeacher. And while Charles [[NightmareRetardant mostly appears as]] a [[SpecialEffectsFailure cloud of green smoke]], he does psychologically torture Zoey and physically attack various characters, eventually taking form, with his face looming over the building, [[EvilLaugh laughing evilly]].

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Zoey in "Dinner for Two Many". She wants a date with James without their friends, so they go to a fancy restaurant. Logan, Quinn, and Coco are already there, minding their business, yet Zoey whines about them the whole time in the restaurant, even getting mad at James for Michael and Lola barging in. The end shows them representing a private dinner and apologizing for "ruining their date", despite the three of them having no reason to feel bad.

** Zoey and Nicole fake-fighting in "Back to PCA" when you realize that Alexa Nikolas quit the show because of real fights between her and Jamie Lynn.

** Any episode dealing with the girls having an argument but making up at the end becomes this given Jamie Lynn Spears and Alexa Nikolas's dispute behind the scenes. Ditto for every friendship scene involving Zoey and Nicole, who were actually the closest of the girls in early seasons, they are harder to watch to watch due to the HostilityOnTheSet between the actresses.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** At the end of "Lola Likes Chase", Lola senses that Chase isn't into her. When she talks to him about it, he admits that there's another girl. When asked who, Chase tells her that it's a girl from his hometown, and Lola lets him go. A later episode reveals that Lola was aware of Chase's crush on Zoey, but chose to spare their feelings.
** In “Quinn Misses the Mark”, Quinn is crying on a bench after her attempts to win Mark back don’t work. Logan then appears on his scooter and asks her what’s wrong. Rather than go about his business, he sits down and talks to her. They spend a few minutes talking where Logan tells her that Mark is an idiot for breaking up with her and saying she doesn’t need to change her appearance to get guys. It’s a rare sight to see Logan of all people comforting Quinn.
** In "Dance Contest" Chase practices dancing all night for the dance competition with Zoey, but ends up falling asleep and missing it, when Zoey finds him he's pretty bummed out until she puts on some music and asks him to dance with her right then and there, and they do a pretty impressive routine.
** For as disliked as "Wrestling" was, the revelation that Logan confronted Chuck Javers in the parking lot over [[spoiler:putting Zoey in the infirmary with a head injury during their match]] despite Chuck being a psychopath and despite Logan himself not wanting Zoey on the team was pretty nice to see, showing that as much of a jerk as Logan can be at times, he's not completely heartless [[spoiler:even at the cost of him ending more severely injured then Zoey via Chuck in the bed in the infirmary beside her]].
** In "Drippin" Dustin reveals that he wanted to spend several nights on Zoey's dorm not because he was scared(at least not after the first night) but rather because he missed hanging out with Zoey due to her always being busy with her friends. Zoey is touched by this and says Dustin can stay with her, Lola and Quinn both eavesdropping hear this and go in to hug them as well.
** In "Chasing Zoey" [[spoiler:Chase coming back to PCA, Zoey kissing him and the two finally becoming a couple, plus Logan yelling out to everyone at the prom that he loves Quinn after keeping their relationship secret for the entire season]].
** In a somber way, Zoey comforting Chase at the ending of "Chase's Grandma". Also the fact that earlier in the episode she went to great expense to fly Chase's grandma out to see him, and Chase really appreciated the fact she did that even if it fell through.

* TearJerker:
** Zoey's Tekmate right beside the fountain receiving Chase's email saying 'I Love you' sent, but it falls down to the water as it vibrates, and short circuits.
** The end of ''Goodbye Zoey'' when Chase admits to Michael and Logan that he misses Zoey after. Even more poignant since Zoey witnessed the whole scene along with him confessing his feelings for her.
*** Also the whole montage of Zoey packing up all of her stuff, the song played during the montage("Strange" by Dakota)only makes it worse.
** The final scene of 'Chase's Grandma', where Zoey comforts a sobbing Chase in the rain after [[spoiler:his grandmother passes away]].
** In 'Michael Loves Lisa', it's hard not to feel bad for Michael when Lisa [[spoiler:goes out with another guy.]]

* TheScrappy: James, the ReplacementScrappy for Chase. In the first episode he gets introduced he becomes part of the group, Zoey's love interest and every girl instantly falls in love with him.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: "Election" was made to address Zoey's "too perfect" complaints. Chase and Zoey nominate each other for class president and despite promising to not let it interfere with their friendship, Zoey gets mad at Chase because Logan was resorting to dirty tactics without his knowledge or consent even despite Chase's numerous protests. Chase is portrayed as 100% in the right and Zoey is the one who apologizes at the end admitting she was angry at the wrong person.

* HollywoodHomely: Quinn is a major example, as even with the stereotypical "nerd" indicators of glasses and funny haircuts she is noticeably very pretty, made more obvious during her make-over episode. However, she is never considered "ugly" like most examples of this trope, just a socially awkward nerd, and even Logan eventually tells her "we all know you are weird, but you are smart and pretty" in the last season.
