** The [[Comicbook/UltimateMarvel Ultimate]] version is this even more so. * QuestionableCasting: Creator/MiloVentimiglia was ''horribly'' miscast as Logan in [[Anime/MarvelAnimeWolverine the 2011 Wolverine anime]], with a voice that sounded far too young and came off as a teenager trying to sound cool, add to that that it was Ventimiglia's first voice acting performance and he's acting alongside well known and experienced voice actors such as Creator/VicMignogna, Creator/JBBlanc and Creator/KateHiggins, which made his rather stiff portrayal stick out like a sore thumb. Worsening it even more was that Creator/SteveBlum, experienced voice actor and considered by many to be [[CantUnhearIt the definitive animated Wolverine voice]] ''was part of the cast'' but voiced Wolverine's CanonForeigner [[TheRival Rival]] Kikyo instead of Logan himself. Thankfully, after seeing the less than stellar reviews of Ventimiglia's performance, Blum was given back the role of Wolverine for the following [[Anime/MarvelAnimeXMen X-Men anime series]]. Granted, that series appeared to be a separate continuity from the previous shows, as the Logan seen before reappears in ''Anime/MarvelAnimeBlade'' voiced by Ventimiglia once more.
** Though hard to imagine these days, before the release of the first movie, the casting of Creator/HughJackman was ''incredibly'' controversial. Not only because Jackman was a practically unknown Australian theatre actor whose only two prior movies were a drama and a ''romantic comedy'', but because Jackman, being 6'3, lean and conventionally attractive is almost the complete opposite of Logan in the comics, who is abnormally short, built like a fridge and is generally just really hairy and unsightly. Obviously, Jackman's performance won most people over, and to mainstream audiences, Jackman ''is'' Wolverine. However, this hasn't stopped many fans from wanting a potential new movie version of Logan to be played by someone a little closer in looks to his comics counterpart.

** Though to be fair, most of said love interests do end up dead and all those years of extra life his mutation affords him have in large parts been filled with various horrible traumatic events, which has led to him losing entire decades of memories, including his ''own name'' as a result of his healing factor.

* NarmCharm: His superhero getup. On any character, especially a grizzled loner like Logan, a bright yellow and blue spandex getup with tiger stripes, Superman-style briefs, big shoulder pads and massive pointy ears on the mask would just be silly, but it's so damn iconic that it ''works''.
** It was also lessened by two major suit redesigns, the first one changing the color scheme to a darker gold and brown, while removing the tiger stripes and the shoulder pads, and the second one modernizing the original blue and yellow design by removing the briefs, making the ears and boots smaller and less pointy and somewhat toning down the bright colors.
** The hairstyle. It's an integral part of his look and a nice nod to his classic mask, especially when he isn't wearing a suit, but it can definitely come off a little silly, especially when it gets drawn extra pointy.
* Narm: The costume he wore in his first comic appearance is near-impossible to take seriously. It's got all the silliness of the classic blue and yellow suit, but with a mask that not only showed Logan's normal eyes, but had tiny little eyepieces and both a cute little nose and ''whiskers'' painted onto the mask.
** The "Fang" suit he wore for a few issues in the 70s. While it's definitely got it's fans, it's generally agreed upon that the rows of sharp animal fangs lining his suit, gloves, belt and books were a little bit overkill, especially since it was literally designed by artist Dave Cockrum to be as annoying as humanly possible to draw for his successor John Byrne.

** If you have read ''Origins'' you know that Logan’s life has not been the easiest since he was a boy. His stepfather who raised him and loved him as his own is murdered by his biological father who he kills in retaliation, his mother disowns him and then commits suicide and the one girl who actually cared and loved him even after discovering his mutation he accidentally murders. Logan’s life has ''not'' been a happy one.

I've read all the Tieri comics I can find, it's even talked about on Reddit and CBR, and I can't find this scene for the life of me I'm gonna make Sabretooth's PE removal and so I'd like someone to ask around on TVT to find out where this is from It'll give more insight on his crimes so people will know that despite the love for his mother, he's still a monster I even asked the Marvel Database and they don't know either. As I said I've gotten zero confirmation that this actually happened in the comic which is why I am removing it.

*** The big one for Sabretooth was when Tieri wrote him raiding a daycare center and casually eating the terrified children as snack food.

** ''ComicBook/OldManLogan'' is an UltimateUniverse version of the character, set in an alternate future, where he is a very old man. At one point he is transplanted to the main continuity. When fans discuss about both characters, Old Man Logan and the standard one, calling the second one "Wolverine" or "Logan" may be confusing. So, he is often referred to as "Young Man Logan".
