* NeverLiveItDown: Although her character was thin throughout the run of the show, Helen was constantly teased because she ''used'' to be fat. In fact, there were more fat jokes about Helen's character than the actually overweight Roy.

** One classical pops CoverAlbum for TheBeatles included "Mull of Kintyre"(!).
** Just about anything Paul did after leaving the Beatles but before ''TheBeatles Anthology'' will be attributed to Wings. It doesn't help that compilations make little distinction between Wings and Paul on his own; they all include songs from both "artists" regardless of what the focus of the compilation is supposed to be. ''All The Best!'' is officially a PaulMcCartney album, but over half the songs are by Wings. ''Wingspan'' features quite a few songs which are Paul solo or Paul and Linda. Even ''Wings Greatest'' includes Paul solo and Paul & Linda.

* HarsherInHindsight: In a sad irony for a show about running an airline service, series co-creator David Angell and his wife, Lynn, were both killed when they were flying back home to California after attending a family wedding in Cape Cod, when the plane that they were on, American Airlines Flight 11, was hijacked and deliberately flown into the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001.

* HilariousInHindsight: In the ''{{Cheers}}'' CrossOver episode "Planes, Trains, and Visiting Cranes," Joe calls Lillith Crane "Morticia." Bebe Neuwirth would later originate the role of Morticia in TheMusical version of ''TheAddamsFamily''.

When a thoroughly weirded out Brian informs him that it means he is afraid of heights, Lowell agrees, saying that that would explain the one about sitting atop the Washington Monument.
** Another time, Brian explains dream interpretation to Joe when he has nightmares, saying that if you dream that you're underwater, it's about sex. Joe says there was a clown in his dream. According to Brian, that too is about sex. Then Joe was trampled by tigers. Well, that's about group sex.

** Alex, the character who preceded Casey, was not universally popular herself.
