** Kevin and Marcus didn't have to participate in the dance battle to maintain their cover. They just did that out of genuine friendship for Karen, Lisa and Tori.

* HamAndCheese: Creator/TerryCrews knows exactly what kind of movie he's in, and plays Latrell with as much ham as humanly possible.

* MisaimedFandom: The film is frequently brought up by blackface apologists as a supposed double-standard whenever progressively-minded people talk about how inappropriate whitewashing is. This is ignoring the fact that the plot is specifically about two black men masquerading as white people, it's played for laughs and the women they're impersonating do in fact show up at various points. Meanwhile, most examples of white people playing non-white people are done in real life and are usually expected to be taken seriously, even if it's in a comedy.

Added DiffLines:

* MexicansLoveSpeedyGonzales: Despite being lambasted by critics for its perceived racism against black and Latino people, the film has generated a cult following among those very groups, who find it hilarious, whether ironically or not.

Added DiffLines:

* CultClassic: Despite its abysmal reviews, audiences were a bit kinder to it, and over the years, it's become fairly popular among African-American viewers, who enjoy how much it lampoons the stereotypes surrounding both white and black people (Creator/TerryCrews being in it also helps).

* RetroactiveRecognition: Astute viewers will recognize Debra Morgan as Lisa and Amber "Cutthroat Bitch" Volakis as Tiffany Wilson. For some, it'll be Creator/TerryCrews from Film/TheExpendables or Film/Idiocracy.
