* AdaptedOut: Bliss' life in Bodeen is a much smaller percentage of the film's running time; an understandable reduction considering the visual appeal of roller derby vs. the prosaic nature of Bliss' hometown.

* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: In the alternative store in Austin, Brooke spies some bongs and comments, "Ooh, pretty vases!" The staff think this is hilarious, then one of them quips that, "They're great for tulips, really." One wonders how many of the censors realised a "Dutch tulip" is a fancy way of rolling a joint...

* OohMeAccentsSlipping: Except for Creator/DanielStern and Creator/MarciaGayHarden, NO ONE can hold a Texas accent, and most of the cast [[NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent don't even bother]].

** Personally, I find that there's no "straight" way to interpret this film. It's tailored to the female-friendly eye (particularly obvious in that the film is a basically a story about a girl finding her place mainly aimed for female viewers, and is just about the sexiest sport they could have chosen), the point of the main character's relationship is essentially "boyfriends actually stink so stick with your ladies". Mileage may vary, but I really feel that this film is intended more for the gay audience than most people realize. Which is great.
