** He gets even more Woobie points when its revealed [[spoiler:that he's an ex-assassin trying to find a new life in America]]. He also lives in a pet shop.
* UnfortunateImplications:
** It looks like two or three of the five or so writers credited for ''So You Want to be a Vampire?'' are Jewish, but the identification of Jews and vampires has been made by real-life anti-Semites often enough that this child of Holocaust survivors is creeped-out by it.
** Identifying immigrants with classic (and not-so-classic)is problematic. On the other hand, Twayne being 'of the Connecticut Bonerapers' identifies demons with old-line W.A.S.P.s, which also might be so but would likely bother a different set of viewers.

* OneSceneWonder: Angie, the facegina girl from "Pilot".

* OneSceneWonder: Angie, the facegina. In case you don't know what a facegina is, she is headless, and her face is on her crotch where her vagina should be.

* UnfortunateImplications: It looks like two or three of the five or so writers credited for ''So You Want to be a Vampire?'' are Jewish, but the identification of Jews and vampires has been made by real-life anti-Semites often enough that thsi child of Holocaust survivors is creeped-out by it.

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: A common criticism of the show was that it focused too much on the (at times, rather generic) characters and not enough on the interesting and bizarre AlternateUniverse setting. This is even considered one of the reasons the show never really got popular.

* AwesomeArt: It's Creator/ECComics-based art-style, couple with Flash-animation so good that many viewers think the series was traditionally animated, makes it one of the best looking adult cartoons around. The animation is considered by many as one of the best aspects of the entire series.

* GermansLoveDavidHassellhoff: The show was far more popular in Latin America than in the United States. A combination of a good dub-work and not being screwed over by the Latin American branch of Creator/{{MTV}}[=/=]Creator/ComedyCentral is the reason why the series succeeded there.

* MoralEventHorizon: Twayne crossed the line absolutely when he kills his brother to usurp his rank as general, gets worse when he rebels when he was a baby, he killed all his brothers.
** [[spoiler: The whole episode this was revealed in turned out be a giant act, Twayne might not really have siblings.]]
