May also be a ShoutOut to [[ComicBook/TheTransformersMarvel the comics]], where Optimus spent several issues with his head detached and a prisoner of the Decepticons.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: At the end of his call with Chumley, Optimus pulls a lever on the Teletraan that [[MadeOfExplodium detonates]] Chumley's communicator. It makes absolutely ''no'' sense, but it's one hell of a way to end a call.

Per TRS.

* SoBadItsGood: What many fans think of this episode due to it's HuntingTheMostDangerousGame plot and the increasingly bizarre ways that the Autobots are captured...as well as the best Optimus Prime line ''ever''.
* WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs: The concept of a human hunter going after Optimus is logical enough, but the writers definetly came up with some... ''creative'' ways the Autobots are captured. Then there's the ''Franchise/{{Saw}}''-esque traps they're put in afterwards.

* MagnificentBastard: [[EgomaniacHunter Lord Chumley]] is a big-game hunter who uses his vast fortune to hunt down military vehicles and technology. After stealing a Soviet jet during a test-flight, Chumley decided to add [[HuntingTheMostDangerousGame the head of Optimus Prime]] to his vast collection. With the help of his butler Dinsmore, Chumley lures the Autobots into numerous traps scattered across the city and holdds them hostage in various {{Death Trap}}s to lure Optimus to his castle fortress. Optimus was forced to go through the numerous traps laid out for him, including a monster Chumley had captured in the jungles of Borneo. He was able to take out Blitzwing and Astrotrain when they interrupted his fight with Optimus, [[TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou wanting the honor of finishing Prime off for himself]]. [[BadassNormal Despite being a normal human]], Chumley proved to be one of the more resourceful villains the Autobots have faced.

* CrazyAwesome: Lord Chumley has some impressively insane tools at his disposal. By the time he shows up on a monitor attached to a giant robot scorpion, you've seen enough weirdness to just go with it.
