However, the series starts incorporating character development and more continuity after Episode 50 and subtle clues that something strange is going on. By Episode 100, [[spoiler: the status quo has been upended by Ad Bishop's revenge quest, and it's revealed that both kings have been memory wiping everyone to keep the reoccuring fourth wall breaks under wraps, shedding a darker light on all the events that happened earlier]].

The queens, who they simp for, also simply use them as cannon fodder and don't care for them.
