* UnCannyValley: Toodles/Toots' design has always been much more humanoid-looking, but in this series her design just looks odd and straight-up out of place compared to the other cat characters. This is most evident in the episode "Toots the Terrible", where one scene has her standing next to the human manager, another has her on all-fours trying to catch Jerry, all with her weird human-looking body.

* SoOkayItsAverage: Despite the backgrounds and music looking/sounding better than the previous series, some feel it's lacking compared to not just the original shorts but even The Tom and Jerry Show. The character animations somehow feel more stiff and cheap than in the former series (despite reusing the same flash models), the plots feel lamer, with some shorts feeling like they just slapped on the hotel/city setting to episodes that more or less could have been in the suburbs. Overall it mostly feels like a bland forgettable series just quickly done to tie-in with the 2021 movie.

* BrokenBase: Some fans were fine with this series, liking the New York setting and the improved backgrounds, it still has mostly poor reception; both from fans who never liked The Tom and Jerry Show's for its flash animation only for the next series to lazily reuse it's models, and fans who did enjoy the former series, due to it being cancelled just for the new Tom and Jerry series right after it to reuse everything and almost be exactly the same.
