** The regular ending, Midnight Dekaranger, is pretty good, too. Bonus points for the singer being Isao Sasaki, who sang songs for ''Goranger'' and ''JAKQ'' and never sang another Super Sentai song until now.

* EnsenbleDarkhorse: Doggie Kruger/Deka Master. While he's not above certain comedic moments, fans ''love the hell out of him'' since his entire character is just RuleOfCool personified. There's a good reason that whenever ''Dekaranger'' gets any post-series representation, you tend to see ''him'' over the other obvious choice, Ban/Deka Red.

* {{Woolseyism}}: The Shout! Factory 2023 DVD release of the series has a weird [[https://twitter.com/thedex1998/status/1622038964231192585 use of a fansubber's work]] where the subbers they hired apparently reused lines from the Berndadelta subs of the show and referred to the VICE exam as the "Triple S test" instead and basically reworded the fansub's translation of the lines around it for some reason rather than having a more faithful translation akin to Over-Time or their own version of it.

** Ayumi Kinoshita (Jasmine) is well recognized by ''Anime/YuGiOh5Ds'' fans, voicing Aki Izayoi.

* ShipSinking: Jasmine used to be the most shippable Dekaranger, but every pairing with her got abandoned in ''10 Years After'' upon confirming that she's now married [[spoiler:with Hikaru, of all people]].
** ''Barely'' averted with [[spoiler:Sen and Umeko]]. When writing the episode that established their ShipTease, Arakawa had only intended it purely as a brief fling and even stated in a contemporary interview that he expected them to break up fairly quickly, but in ''10 Years After'' they turn out to be still going strong, and they even end up getting married in ''Dekaranger vs. Gavan''. A [[https://twitter.com/kzKEvzydE6zALJL/status/1468541002839658498 tweet]] from director Noboru Takemoto revealed that apparently ''every other member of the planning team'' had opposed the idea of breaking them up so vehemently that it was decided to have them stay together after all.

* AbandonShipping: A somewhat meta example: Sen/Umeko was and is still a popular FanPreferredCouple, but after Umeko's actress Mika Kikuchi married Tomokazu Yoshida (''Tetsu's'' actor) in 2018, a lot of fans have abandoned the ship. Amusingly, when the three actors for Umeko, Tetsu, and Sen [[https://youtu.be/k3iQoOG9GRQ?t=1987 held a livestream]] where they watched Episode 46 (the episode that most prominently introduced the Sen/Umeko ShipTease) together, all three of them just thought it was ActuallyPrettyFunny when the chat brought up the inevitable question and continued shipping them as hard as ever (the livestream itself was even jokingly named "Officially Endorsed LoveTriangle").

* AuthorsSavingThrow: The judgement on the Alienizers. In the series, the judgement is done in about 10 seconds by the "Highest Court in the Universe." That seems awfully quick to make a literal life or death decision (although some aliens who got judged did not get death sentences). Come the ''10 Years After'' movie, it turns out that the court is on a planet that is time-displaced eight months for every 10 seconds of Earth's regular time, giving each criminal a more substantial trial.
** Ironically, Judgment being a death sentence was originally supposed to be an AuthorsSavingThrow in itself as a response to kids complaining that the ''[[Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger Timeranger]]'' Time Emblems were too lenient, only for it to go entirely in the other direction when the instant Judgement got ''Dekaranger'' heavily criticized by the Japanese legal community.

* ValuesDissonance: The judgment and execution of criminals by the rangers. In Japan, police brutality is less of an issue than in other countries and the death penalty is legal but in places like the United States or Europe seeing the rangers casually execute criminals in a kid's show can come across as uncomfortable (although considering many of them are planet destroyers or shameless serial killers with known body counts in the billions it's by no means unjustified) especially in regards to more sympathetic or less evil criminals. This is probably why the Power Rangers adaptation Series/PowerRangersSPD was changed with them being captured inside of cards akin to a regular arresting charge.
