Also on ''Daytime Divas'', Eve played Cecile James, a bestselling author of books about alpha women who guest hosts, and who initially wants to become a permanent co-host. Fast forward five months, On November 14, 2017; Eve was announced as a permanent co-host on ''The Talk''.

** On the September 14, 2018 episode of the show a segment including the one of the winners of The Talk Table Takeover the topic was "Have you ever felt overwhelmed with work and over-commitment?" Sara Gilbert talked about being over-committed to multiple TV projects and barely having time for her family. Gilbert said her goal was to spend more time with her family.
