* TheScrappy / TheLoad: The Rock Biter baby and the Bark Troll in the third movie literally contribute ''absolutely nothing'' to the story. The latter may also be TheWesley, seeing how [[PungeonMaster he's given so many]] [[IncrediblyLamePun idiotic puns]] for every scene.

* TookTheBadFilmSeriously: Everyone except (arguably) Jack Black in the third movie.

** The third movie is [[{{Understatement}} much worse]]. Bastian leaves the Auryn out in the open in his bedroom, where it is promptly taken by Nicole. And towards the end, when facing JackBlack, Bastian actually gives into his "Fight me like a man" spiel, even though [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim he's got the Auryn back, and could easily wreak all kinds of vengeance upon him]].

* HighOctaneNightmareFuel: Gmork, the Sphinx Gate, the Nothing.
** As if the sphinx ''alone'' wasn't ''terrifying enough'', the scene where the knight's helmet blows open to reveal his charred skull creeped this troper out for years.
** The gmork kept this troper up at night for four months.

** And as TheNostalgiaCritic points out, why is there television, a leading cause of declining children's literacy, in Fantasia, a land that literally ''cannot exist'' without children reading?!

* NightmareFuel: Gmork, the Sphinx Gate, the Nothing.

** Ygramul the Many, a myriad of blue beetles acting as one, most of the time forming a big spider but changing into other forms when fighting with its prey or into a huge face with antennae instead of a tongue when talking to Atreyu.

* Artax!

* DesignatedVillain: As [[ThatGuyWithTheGlasses the Nostalgia Critic]] points out, Bastian's stepsister in [[SoBadItsHorrible the third movie]] may be a bitch, but she actually ''does'' something with the power she obtains, and Bastian's calling her out for screwing things up falls flat since ''he'' could have avoided it all by actually ''doing something'' when he had the chance.

** So far, it's the ''only'' movie the NostalgiaCritic has found so bad, he actually destroyed the DVD.

* [=~They Just Didn't Care~=]: The third movie had the Fantasians making pop cultural jokes, yet they still have a fish-out-of-water experience at the real world. Also, either the third movie's timeline spans from the first day of school to Chinese New Year to Halloween, or they all happened at once (with Bastian going to sleep before Halloween). And Bastian's father suddenly doesn't know about Fantasia anymore.

* [=~They Just Didn't Care~=]: The third movie had the Fantasians making pop cultural jokes, yet they still have a fish-out-of-water experience at the real world. Also, either the third movie's timeline spans from the first day of school to Chinese New Year to Halloween, or they all happened at once (with Bastian going to sleep before Halloween).

* DethroningMomentOfSuck: The musical number listed on BigLippedAlligatorMoment. The AgonyBooth's [[http://www.agonybooth.com/recaps/The_NeverEnding_Story_III__Escape_from_Fantasia_1994.aspx?Page=5 recap]] says it proves someone sings [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYl_YzcJMKU worse than]] [[RedZoneCuba John Carradine]]. TheNostalgiaCritic considered "JumpingTheShark" to be too soft a description for the scene.
