* BaseBreakingCharacter: As if Sheik didn't break the base enough in the canon game, the manga interpretation of Sheik breaks it more. Because Sheik is [[spoiler:"his" own consciousness in Zelda's body, rather than Zelda doing the job by herself]], Sheik is liked and disliked for that same reason.
* CompleteMonster: The manga version of [[BigBad Ganondorf]] is [[AdaptationalVillainy far worse than any of his game counterparts]]. Unlike the original, he has no FreudianExcuse or redeeming factors, nor is he MadeOfEvil either. Ganondorf here is presented as a selfish, greedy king with no care for any of his own subjects or [[ItsAllAboutMe anyone else but himself]]. He still attacks Link when [[WouldHurtAChild he's a child]], he still poisons the Great Deku Tree, and worse is explicitly the one who [[YouKilledMyFather killed Zelda's father]] the king. Ganondorf's behavior towards his own minions is expanded upon and [[BadBoss made more horrifying]] as well. He {{brainwashed|AndCrazy}} his entire Gerudo tribe, using Twinrova to do so. His own monsters sometimes serve him unwillingly: Gohma was a harmless spider that he [[TransformationHorror mutated painfully]] into the monster that killed the Deku Tree. Worse, Volvagia was a benevolent, sentient dragon and Link's friend. Ganondorf turned him into a mindless beast that [[ShootTheDog Link was forced to euthanize]]. And just like in the original N64 game, Ganondorf regrets none of this.
* HilariousInHindsight: A bonus story involves a race of bird people, quite similar to the Rito in ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker Wind Waker]]''. Better yet, it's in the "Adult" time.
** The other bonus story depicts the Skull Kids and one who just wants friends. And a nice mask. [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask Hmm...]] {{Foreshadowing}}?
* TakeThatScrappy: Link occasionally gets fed up with Navi and talks back.

* FoeYay: Shadow and Vio, especially since Shadow states he really did consider him a friend and actually seems hurt by TheReveal that Vio has lying to him about joining him. There's also at least a hint of it with Shadow and Zelda.
* JerkassWoobie: Shadow Link.

* TakeThatScrappy: Unintentionally, this manga gives plenty of this [[AmericansHateTingle the American haters of Tingle]] when Vio beats him with a sledge hammer, and later when he complains about being left out of the finale of the manga, it's revealed the reader didn't see him because he was crushed by a giant force gem.

** All three of Shigoto's manga have Link with inaccurate hair colors. First he's a redhead, then a blond, and next he has pink hair; [[YouDontLookLikeYou these are all the same Link by the way]]. Link was made into a blond for ALinkToThePast and has been so since, and the in-game sprites show Link with pink hair due to graphical troubles.
