Now an index disallowing examples.

* AcceptableTargets: Businessmen. Usually, at best, ignorant, if not immoral, scheming and/or insincere. At worst, something slightly less than human, being portrayed in several sketches as a kind of animal.
** Also, to a certain extent, Americans. Buddy Cole once remarked "Americans know as much about Canada as straight people know about being gay."

** Some of the Kids' own one-shot characters could also qualify. The Eradicator only ever appeared in a sketch in the very first episode, but he was so fondly-remembered by fans and audiences that they ended up bringing him back for the revival season.

replacing the Queen Elizabeth wick

* HilariousInHindsight: In a sketch, Bruce plays a guy who gets in a street brawl in a back alley, and won't stay down no matter how many times he gets punched to the ground. About 3 minutes in, even the crowd is asking him to just stay down. Even a hallucination of UsefulNotes/HMTheQueen appears to tell him to stay down. Then ''Film/CaptainAmericaTheFirstAvenger'' has a scene where Steve is in an alley fight, keeps getting his ass kicked (this is of course before he became the super soldier), and won't stay down.

* GrowingTheBeard: There's a body of opinion that holds that the show did this in Season 2, after they'd run out of using their old stage sketches and were coming up with new ones that were specifically designed for TV. They also discarded the Season 1 design aesthetic of trying to make the show look like they'd scrounged all its sets from a junkyard, and aimed for greater realism.
