Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* MoralEventHorizon: Jha'dur crossed it ''twice''. The first time was after joining the military, when she accidentally closed an undisciplined subordinate in a sealed room being emptied from air and, instead of saving him, [[NoKillLikeOverkill activated the sterilization protocol of the room]], becoming the person that would be feared by the League. Then, after her brother's death, she ''[[UpToEleven became even]] [[FromBadToWorse worse]]''.

Joe Tennant by virtue of what he pulled at Markab.

* FauxSymbolism: One example of which the author is not even responsible. The Dilgar launched their genocidal rampage to escape their sun going nova. Earthforce dreadnoughts and latest model of Starfury are named ''Nova''-class , and Earthforce heavy cruiser class (the same class of the ''EAS Persephone'', the first Earth warship the Dilgar fought, when it obliterated five times her mass in Dilgar warship before Jha'dur arrived with her fleet. Then the ''Persephone'' charged Jha'dur's flagship) is named after Hyperion, the ''Titan of the Sun''. Had Lord of Misrule named them instead of the authors of the tabletop game, it would have highly symbolic of Earth's role in the war.

* NightmareFuel: According to legends, if your ship is destroyed when it's in the vortex to cross in hyperspace you'll never die, being locked in the moment of death forever. In-universe, that's actual source of nightmares for many spacers, and Sha'dur the one who could have said if it was actually possible, [[spoiler: actually died when his ship was rammed in an hyperspace vortex by a Markab cruiser]].

moving awesome to the page

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: Supreme Warmaster Gar'shan calls his final battle a masterpiece for a good reason: with an outnumbered, outgunned and demoralized force composed mostly of rookies and second rate forces, he managed to inflict obscenely disproportionated losses against the Allied fleet... Including the long-range bombardament ships of the Hyach Navy, forcing the survivors to fight into the range of the Dilgar fixed defenses' guns. All of this ''before'' throwing the remaining elite of the Dilgar into battle.

** Stro'kath had one such moment by virtue of what he pulled at Deskartalos: [[RammingAlwaysWorks fleet-wide ramming attack]] [[BigDamnHeroes as soon as he enters a battle the rest of the Drazi fleet was losing]], scaring the Dilgar Third Strike Fleet into running away. What's more, it was an hell of an [[IndyPloy improvised]] XanatosGambit [[RefugeInAudacity to hide the fact that Stro'kath's fleet entered the fleet after a long travel and didn't have enough fuel for a conventional battle]]: by launching that attack, either the Dilgar ran in fear and, due Stro'kath taking out their supply ships earlier that day, wouldn't have enough fuel to return to battle for a few months (by which time the Drazi would have had the chance to refuel), or they stood their ground and lost an elite force and one of their best commanders while the Drazi would ''still'' have had enough ships to attack Omelos in a few days (just enough time to refuel), with the way for it now defenceless.

** Also, according to Creator/JMichaelStraczynski, Earth's most advanced weapon technology are nuclear fusion bombs, that makes use of the same reaction that fuels stars, and Earthforce is quite nuke-happy, perfecting the FauxSymbolism.
