Decapitation, dismemberment, infanticide, impalement, torture, mutilation and all manner of horrible deaths occur in every book, sometimes dozens in a single scene. To say nothing of all the bullying, kidnapping, animal cruelty and all manner of sins that the ''heroes'' get up to.
