Added DiffLines:

*MoralEventHorizon: Castor and Pollux enslaving puppies till they die (they are probably Dingo's most effective {{Big Bad}}s as they are genuinely scary and they REALLY put effort into making them as evil as possible).

* {{Padding}}: There is an eight-minute long flashback from the first film that could've been replaced with one of the backstreet dogs telling a simple summary of what happened.

Added DiffLines:

!! Both films:
* ViewerSpeciesConfusion: The [=Edutain4Kids=] books confirms several of the dogs' breeds, even though they don't look it:
** Castor and Pollux are sometimes assumed to be black Doberman Pinschers but are actually Great Danes.
** Bloom is a Bloodhound that looks like a Basset Hound due to being short.
** Freddy resembles a Greyhound or other sighthound but is referred to as a mutt.
** Vera is a Whippet, but due to her thicker body and spotted patterns, she looks more like an Australian Cattle Dog.

----
!! First film:
* NightmareFuel: Timmy and Toby are forced to work in the villain's canning factory. We see several scenes of them being worked, all while Castor and Pollux brag about beating them and later admit that the puppies might not survive. It's a darker storyline compared to much of what Creator/DingoPictures has made, and seeing the pups getting abused the way they are is pretty jarring and scary, especially for the film's age demographic.
* StrangledByTheRedString: Tuepfelchen spends most of the movie putting down Kruemel, even flat out saying at the end that she didn't like him. Despite this, they decide to start a family together. The crow narrator even lampshades it at the beginning.
----

!! Second film:
* AccidentalInnuendo: As a punishment, Castor and Pollux force Pino to clean his pen. One of them says "It better looked like it was licked clean! Your mother was very good at that."
* {{Padding}}: There is an eight-minute long flashback from the first film that could've been replaced with one of the backstreet dogs telling a simple summary of what happened.
