Sydney and Marcus are both in the wrong as well as Carmy, but what makes Carmy "the bad guy" is the power differential and the lack of control he exhibits.. At the end of the day he is their boss, and it is never acceptable to scream obscenities at a subordinate, especially in full view of the other staff. He further crosses the line when he puts his hands on Marcus—and is honestly lucky Marcus didn't decide to hit him. However, all of this was completely intentional by the writers, so i don't think it counts under UU or US. Especially considering that, as monumental as his blowup was, it's all solved with a simple, heartfelt apology.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Syd and Marcus were subject to this in light of "Review": while the episode frames everyone as being at least somewhat in the wrong, many viewers complained that the episode paints Carmy as the bad guy when he was understandably cracking under a crisis that Syd created and Marcus unwittingly contributed to.

** The recurring use of "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJa3eUczYaM New Noise]]" by {{Music/Refused}}. Used in the series premiere as an intro that somehow ''effortlessly'' blends into the aforementioned "Old Engine Oil", in season 2 it's used twice as a build-up tune that takes little to ''no'' effort to get the viewer pumped up to see what's next.

** The show's depiction of deadlines in general is terrifyingly accurate. The staff are shown constantly on tight deadlines, and the [[ClusterFBomb constant use of the word "fuck"]] only makes things ten times more intense. Episode 7, "Review", in particular is too much for those who have ever been too close to a deadline.

Added DiffLines:

* JerkassWoobie: Richie is a crude, rude, self-righteous and overall obnoxious man-child whose devotion to tradition drives much of the show's tension. He's also a man grieving the death of his best friend, a father who doesn't get to spend as much time with his daughter as he wants (and has to deal with his ex bad-mouthing him to her), and a man who's losing his role in the restaurant, the one place where he feels he belongs. As much as you want to punch him in the face, it's hard not to feel bad for the guy.

That's not ACI, that's how we are meant to interpret her character. Richie is the one who doesn't realize what the problem is with such a story, and we're not really supposed to feel bad for him for her not being interested in him.

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: The woman Richie has a date with is rather uptight. Or is she? Richie is currently telling her a story of how he is hanging out with his friends at a bar at 6 AM, being a drunk nuisance, and is insisting when she repeatedly tells him no, she doesn't want to do something. This would raise some flags in most people.
