This is misuse of Harsher In Hindsight. There has to be a strong connection between the situation in the show and what happened in real life. Everyone dies eventually, so death or danger alone is not enough of a connection.

* HarsherInHindsight: In "Octopede Sailors", Grubby says he owes Captain Zelza his life for saving him during a shipwreck, which is shown in flashback form. Said flashback becomes really hard to watch after the passing of Will Ryan, Grubby's voice actor, especially knowing that he died of terminal cancer, which is impossible for someone to save a person's life from.
