Added DiffLines:

* CultClassic: It was only moderately successful when it aired but has developed a strong following due to its unique sense of humor and quirkiness. Its original audience aging enough to get all the jokes and cameos may also help.

Added DiffLines:

* QuirkyWork: The show's odd characters, surreal elements, and blending of fantasy and reality are what have helped it stand out.

I rephrased some sentences to be grammatically clearer.

* TooGoodToLast: While the shorts proved to have the enough success to lead to specials, and finally a TV Series in the process of 4 years... the show just had 3 seasons. The creators have acknowledged various times (from the DVD commentaries bits, the reunions, and even old interviews) that meanwhile it was critical acclaimed, it had poor ratings if you compare it with other shows of the time just like ''WesternAnimation/TheRenAndStimpyShow'' or ''Series/TheSecretWorldOfAlexMack''. Then again, Nickelodeon [[ScrewedByTheNetwork screwed with]] [[ScheduleSlip the schedules of the third season]] episodes (that took more than one year to finish airing), there was also some executive shuffling in the middle... it didn't quite mesh so much with the kids demography and it finally killed the show. However, noting that the protagonists were getting older (Michael Maronna was almost college age by the end of the series), and that the focus of the third season changed so abruptly to little Pete, maybe, it was for the best?

* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: The show never addressed any current events or sociopolitical issues of the time, but the blatantly '90s fashions and soundtracks make the time period very obvious.

** Mr. Tastee is also pretty popular despite only starring in one episode, however said episode is one of the most beloved of the series. He is known for his genuine friendliness towards the kids, sad background, and bittersweet speech about summer not lasting forever. Then of course that amazing outfit he never takes off, even when travelling the world.

Danny has said in interviews that Mike is essentially his big brother in real life too.

* EarWorm: ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-xkDSdRGXs Summerbaby]]'' by Polaris. It's so infectious that there's an ''entire episode'' devoted to Little Pete becoming obsessed with it.
** Not to mention the memorable show theme, ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY_3uxzkoV4 Hey Sandy]]''.
** ''Waiting for October'', ''Coronado II'', almost if not all the soundtrack of the series is definitely an Earworm.

* MoralEventHorizon - Endless Mike legitimately attempts murder a few times.

* {{Narm}}: Very, ''very'' rare, but there's at least one memorable incident--in "Yellow Fever", after Big Pete takes the blame for the actions of a put-upon classmate, Endless Mike (who's spent the episode attempting to corrupt Pete) shouts angrily, "''You're out of my gang!''" On the commentary, those involved spend the next two minutes laughing and go on to claim that Rick Gomez to this day shoehorns it into conversations.

Can count as NarmCharm, given it's the kind of thing that fits right in with the surreal nature of the series anyway.
