** Kusuri Yakuzen's (#5) older form is shown to be a bit more mature and sensible than her younger self, and there are enough differences between them that her dynamic with Chiyo actually changes. Even though 18-year-old Kusuri could show different sides of her relationships with the other characters, she barely appears in the series compared to her younger counterpart. This is something even the manga acknowledges, as one of the voters for the popularity poll (Rentarou) says the author should have older Kusuri show up more.

Misuse. Trope requires the premise itself be a large enough response that stops the work from seeing success, not a case of subjective opinion meaning only some people don't like the work. 100 GFS is a highly successful series, so it has an audience, whereas the trope would require the premise leave the work with little to no audience.

* AudienceAlienatingPremise: Not the most universal stance, but this series is a tough sell for those who aren't into the idea of a protagonist with multiple girlfriends, regardless of how well one thinks the series handles it.

** Similarly, the number of potential girlfriends is prime territory for fans to [[SailorEarth create one themselves]] - it's just a matter of coming up with a quirk one of the current girls doesn't cover (though there's a good chance that the original girlfriend get their quirk covered at some point).

* CrossoverShip: There are a lot of fans that like to imagine Rentarou zinging with girls from other series, whether it's to give them a love interest in the first place, or give them Rentarou as a better partner. Chizuru Ichinose from ''Manga/RentAGirlfriend'' is a rather popular choice due to the negative reception of said series and the main protagonist, Kazuya.

Ian Sinclair subbed in as the Narrator during Episode 6, not Episode 4.

** With ''Manga/KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar'' thanks to an interview after episode 11 of the anime was released where the writers of both series discussed the similarities between both works. It was almost poetic that the [[Creator/IanSinclair English Narrator]] of ''Kaguya-sama'' subbed in during episode 4.

*** Tama gets a lot of reader identification, with frequent comments on how relatable she is for finding work utterly soul-crushing and wanting to laze around instead.

* FanficFuel: Rentarou racking up 100 rejections by the time he graduated middle school creates fertile ground for theories about what kind of girls Rentarou tried to confess to as a young boy, and whether or not any of them would cross his path after he starts meeting his destined soulmates.

** The official English translation has Kusuri creating "medicines" as opposed to drugs.
** Conversed in Chapter 109. Rentarou tries to justify serving his girlfriends Serious Kids Beer by pointing out that Manga/{{Doraemon}} created a gadget that simulates drunkenness, but the Big Cheese of the Publishing Biz rebuts that it was a different time.[[note]]From 1983, to be exact.[[/note]]

That's not They Wasted A Perfectly Good Plot, that's being mad that the plot of a chapter wasn't about what you wanted it to be. Also the whole thing with Creator Backlash is plain weird speculative troping. Saying a chapter was a "wasted plot" because you were hoping that the author expresses Creator Backlash is just weird

** Chapter 90 has Shizuka and Rentarou getting the chance to meet the author of Shizuka's favorite novel series, only for her to [[BrokenPedestal discover that he's an alcoholic, chain-smoking punk]] [[BreakTheCutie that dismisses her feelings towards his series]]. This could have led to Shizuka learning to separate an author from his work and that it doesn't make her feelings towards her books any less valuable even if she's disappointed in the real person. The chapter even teases the author being a StepfordSmiler that's disappointed in himself and his work despite his success, which plants the idea that he's an AuthorAvatar ''[[CreatorBacklash commenting on this story itself]]''. [[spoiler:It turns out that punk was just an imposter, and the ''real'' author of Shizuka's stories is exactly the kind of person Shizuka expected her to be.]]
