* ArcFatigue: The storyline with Cosmo Logic wanting to "satiate petty revenge" on the mercenaries.
* AudienceAlienatingPremise:
** If you like ''VideoGame/TeamFortress2'', the inconsistencies with the game rules, lack of action, and random magic power-ups will put you off.
** If you don't regularly watch even one of the analysts involved you won't get 3/4 of the jokes or drama in the show.

* SeasonalRot: The episodes following ''Seven Nation Army'' don't follow up on any of its reveals with the stagnation of the ongoing plot drawing criticism, even if some of them stem from [[RealLifeWritesThePlot a few cast members getting fired]]. The overuse of reference jokes, reused sound effects, and quality of editing going downhill don't help either.
* WhatAnIdiot: ''Everyone'' qualifies for this with the reveal that [[spoiler:after "Seven Nation Army", they continue their [=TF2=] activities ''despite the respawn generator being broken.'']]
** Also for not rooting out the agave plants when that happens. Those things have sharp, stiff leaves that can slice open horse's hoof with ease; in RealLife they've even punctured off-road vehicles' tires!
** In Red vs Blue part 3 the teams could talk with each other when they realise they've both been hired to fight the other team by the suspicious Red Mann and Blue Mann but instead fight with each other for petty reasons.
** In the same episode even though he's both teams' leader and usually good at cooling their tensions down Dr Wolf runs away to try and figure out why they're fighting instead of stopping them fighting and figuring it out afterwards.

** Aramau cameos in "[Tf5] Analypsis Anorgy". In her first scene, she holds up a sign reading "Don't get any ideas, this is just a cameo", clearly meant to tell the viewers that no, she's not joining the series. However, she would later join the series for real in "New Opportunities (Part Two)".

** Also for not rooting out the agave plants when that happens; those things have sharp, stiff leaves that can slice open horse's hoof with ease; in RealLife they've even punctured off-road vehicles' tires!

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: The stinger of "There Can Only Be One..." has Dr. Wolf and Firebrand talking about how pain and death [[DeathIsCheap have no consequences in TF2]], with the doctor saying that notion is ridiculous. [[spoiler:"Seven Nation Army, Part 2" introduces the respawn generator... which is immediately destroyed.]]

* AudienceAlienatingPremise: If you like VideoGame/TeamFortress2 the inconsistencies with the game rules, lack of action, and random magic power ups will put you off.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The opening to "Scouting Things Out" reveals Silver Quill to be a demon and the one responsible for the portal to Tartarus hidden under the trap door in Dr. Wolf's office. However, no one other than the audience finds out about this, and this aspect is never brought up outside of the episode.
* EndingFatigue: The final battle in Red vs Blue part 6 is over only halfway into the episode, the rest dedicated to the anti-climactic reveal that Racebest and Saberspark wanted to kill each other over a poster and Dr. Wolf rambling about how he wants to help ponies even though that's his most obvious trait.

** In ''"Seven Nation Army" Part 3'', Keyframe remarks that the robots have worse aim than a drunken Stormtrooper, to which [=AnY=] says "challenge accepted" and starts chugging down alcohol. Stormtroopers were specialist soldiers in the German Army during World War I.
