* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: While most fans of the comic like the movie, many resent the omission of General Zod's IntroOnlyPointOfView scene (which casts him in an unusually sympathetic light) and the BackStory of Argo City surviving the destruction of Krypton.

* FridgeHorror: As ''WebVideo/ReactionAndReview'' pointed out, Superman had escaped and entirely disabled Brainiac's ship, taking Kandor with him...and as far as the viewer knows, he could have also cut any and all life support for all the other hundreds, perhaps ''thousands'' of bottled cities on Brainiac's ship, with untold thousands of people in each one. Which ultimately means that Superman indirectly ''[[DesignatedHero put millions of lives in danger]]'' while ''Brainiac'' [[DesignatedVillain is finding himself the one to actually save the cities.]] Talk about a major role reversal!

* {{Narm}}: When Brainiac tortures Superman by sticking his cables into his brain and probing it for information, the scene was supposed to be terrifying, due to the suffering Superman has to go through. However, Superman's over the top screaming, yelling, and groaning as he is being tortured only makes it much more hilarious than it is nightmarish.
