YMMV can't be played with.
Deleted line(s) 2 (click to see context) :
* AngstWhatAngst: Peter is generally well adjusted here. But it is averted in the flashback that shows when Uncle Ben just died, and is justified since in the comics Peter does hide much of his pain and inner turmoil. Since we're seeing this from the perspective of his supporting cast, he does appear to be a seemingly normal kid.
Deleted line(s) 7 (click to see context) :
* {{Wangst}}: Averted, for the most part; although the "EmoTeen" storyline sees Mary Jane indulge in a bit of this -- it gets so bad that even a ''fellow EmoTeen'' essentially tells her to knock it off.

* SeasonalRot: While [=McKeever's=] run garnered a loyal fanbase through the combination of likeable characters, believable interactions, the joy found in the mundane life of superhero tangentials, and extremely cute art, the second team didn't do much to build up either the existing or its own fanbase. The art was cute, but not nearly as lively as Takeshi Miyazawa or David Hahn's, the writing was okay, but not nearly as vivid as [=McKeevers=], the overall effect was meh. Combined with ''ComicBook/OneMoreDay'', which happened right around the same time, it seemed like Marvel had no idea what to do with the series (or Mary Jane, or Spider-Man...). Given the fantastic variant first cover of the second series, it seems quite a shame that Alphona left comics right at that moment, though given the scripts it's unlikely even he could have built much of a following.
