* HarsherInHindsight: The trailer implies that Mario will all be forgotten thanks to this game, when in real life, the opposite happened. Not only would Mario become bigger than ever thanks to VideoGame/SuperMario64 helping codify the Video Game 3D platform genre (something Sega wanted X-treme to do) but X-Tremes cancellation meant that it was Irony Sonic himself who would fall into near obscurity during the Saturn days, with no new major Sonic games made for that console, to the point of Creator/SonicTeam getting letters on who is Sonic around that time. And that's not even going into how VideoGame/CrashBandicoot would eventually come and steal the Hedgehog's crown as the MascotWithAttitude that's competing with Mario during the 32-bit era of gaming, on a new competitor console to boot.
